As the title of this post said, thanks to all of you who posted regarding my brother who has received orders to Iraq in February.

And my heart is with all whose soldier-loved-ones are similarly situated.

Annette- I must have missed that post, my prayers to you and your family!!!! My Step-son is going in Feb., also, for the second time. His wife is going to have baby #4, and he will not see it until it will be at least 6 weeks old. He has already done one 6 month Tour, and now he is going back for another 14 months. It is a hard time, but we must all pray daily for our troops and their safety!!!!!!! We are leaving the day after Christmas to go to North Carolina to visit them for a week. I know it will be so hard for my husband when we leave.

I also want to chime in here that I missed the initial post but am now thinking of your brother and your family. He's a hero. There's no other way to say it. :)

I welcomed BF home in March from a 14 month deployment. Last Christmas (and almost every other holiday that year) we were apart and the only way to say it is that it is tough. On everyone involved.

I hope that he stays safe and comes home soon :)

I, too, missed the original post, but wanted to add that I hope your brother is safe and well while he's In Iraq, as well as ALL of our soldiers.

I don't know if this helps at all, but I read in the paper this morning that anyone can go to www.operationdearabby.net to send a message to our military abroad. I'm sure every little bit is appreciated.

Have a peaceful holiday, everyone - and again, A-Jock, my heart goes out to you and your family.
