Thankful 40's+

Sorry I've been MIA. I did KCM Muscle Def, some premix that was total body - 77min on Sat. I pushed it a bit too hard but it didn't get to the pain level in my shoulder blade, just DOMS verging on a bad feeling, and DOMS in the biceps! Sunday all I did was walk the dogs 2 miles in the cold tundra. Today was GG extreme -- really wanted to quit early but hung in there, just got back from a 2.5 mile tundra walk.

Mary, I'm taking more rest days, I think my body is needing more recovery time, dare I say it's our age?

Ronne, what a nice weekend and a very creative workout! lol

Roxie, good luck with interview!

Jody, yep still watching.

Hi all

Mary - hope everything went well at the dentist.

Roxie - good workout, and clean max as well!

Lisa - that's quite a workout. I don't think I've ever attempted that premix. I wish it would get a bit colder here. It's just not normal.

Did KCM Stepboxing, KCM's favourite compilation premix. Really liked this one 50 mins: you do one round of stepboxing, one round of upper body drills, and one round of weights and repeat three times. I'll be doing that again, it was really fun.
Not much else to report, work is too quiet at the moment. Hoping it will pick up in the new year.

GG really gave me some DOMS, so I took it easy today, I did KPC but quit at the first kicking/punching combo, then a dog walk, getting warmer.

Ronne, I don't mind coolish weather, but we were below freezing for most of the week, that's too cold, even the dogs didn't want to go outside!

Hello girls! Today did FT,except no abs. Roxie, how did the interview go? What's it for? Hope it went well. Ronne, you can have our cold if you are missing it! It was 12 this morning! Brrrr! Lisa, is saw on Facebook, when will you have your surgery? I'm so glad you went to the doctor! Jody, hope you get a day off soon! Murphy, how are you? Last day of work tomorrow! Thank goodness, I'm done! Lol! Hope everyone stays warm! Mary

Mary, oh yeah, thanks for reminding me. Seems basal cell skin cancer is just a way of life for me and my brother (other 2 sisters never had it). Surgery on Dec 1st

Hello

Jody - nice to see you in the middle of the night!

Lisa - that must be cold, if the dogs don't want to go out!

Mary - enjoy your last day! When do you go to Vegas?

Lots of running around today (a bit like Mary), dropped DD and friend off at school this morning before going to doctor's for blood test (nothing important, just part of a health check).
Then a bit of work and did AT. Not as bad as last time I did it!
Then more work and I'm off to the dentist, both me and DD. And finally out again later to pick DH up from station!

Hi all. Just a quick note to say I am feeling better. I still have this hideous cough that could be taken care of with some mucinex but I cannot hold a thought long enough to remember to take it. I have it at the house, I hard could it be to just remember to take it. Plus, I have been busy in the evening and going to be late and that is making it hard to get up in the morning. Anyway, I hope to be back soon with reports of exercise. I have been looking at the clips. I have mixed emotions - excited and scared. How does Cathe keep coming up with new ways to kick our butts?

Murphy

Good Afternoon,

I did KCM SlimSculpt 1 this morning and Stepboxing 2 when we got back from shopping. I bought a 10lbs Kettle bell atcademy Sports. I didn't hear anything about from the interview so really bummed right now and my laptop is being a piece of crap so bad afternoon. I really wanted this job it was in a pharmacy which I have done before. This was my second job interview in a month and no results.

Well I heard from the owner of the pharmacy and she offered me a part time 10 hour a week position for right now with a possibility of full time after the first of the year and some weeks could be 20-25 not great but its a start.

Roxie, congrats that sounds like a good start at something you may like. Murphy, I'm sorry about your hideous cough as well as lack of ability to hold a thought. : P I think the new workouts look awesome, I hope I am able to keep up. I swear the video is running at quick speed. Ronne, good job on AT and welcome home to hubs? Hugs to dd and her AFGO (another f***ing growth opportunity). Lisa, I haven't been to FB but sorry to hear about more of the skin. Good thing you are vigilant and have good care givers. Stay warm. Mary, woo hoo, enjoy some time off! No workout for me, I stayed in my jammies all day and built a book shelf w/ dd for her snake tank and going to a movie w/ dd tomorrow.

Afternoon

Murphy - good to see you. Hope it all clears up soon. I'm really liking the look of the clips, I think it's going to be a great series. I'll probably get it in time to start the new year with.

Roxie - that's great news, at least it's a start and it gives you time to keep looking if you want to.

Jody - I've never heard that before! Sounds like a good day off. What are you going to see?

Did KCM CB 1. I feel like I might be getting something so didn't want to do anything too long or demanding.
Got a big weekend coming up. It's my mum's 70th birthday and we've got a surprise planned for her. I probably won't be around again till Monday so I'll let you all know how it went.

Yesterday I did XT BSC---I felt my back needed worked to pull back my shoulders, then walked dogs, today I started Pilates, but I've been getting so dizzy from laying down to standing (room spins) that I gave up. I'm not sure what's been going on, this has been happening for weeks now...maybe that's why I lost my workout mojo....I really don't want to go to dr...I remember this happened when my neck went out and they said it had nothing to do with it and now I know it doesn't. Monitoring my BP to not go too low with the meds (I need less lately it seems....I guess because i'm in less pain?), I haven't really changed my diet (ie maybe it's low blood sugar), I'm at a loss, I'm tired of the room spinning....guess I should start with meclizine now. Anyone any ideas?

Ronne, You have a young mom! should I be worried that I think 70 is young? I just found out some of my friends are turning 70 (how did that happen?)

Roxie, Hopefully the job turns into more...maybe between subbing and this one you will get enough hrs for a while?

Jody, I love jammy days! I know some of the preview we got on RT from the new series has me wondering how much I'll have to modify.

Murphy, glad you are feeling better.

Mary, are you all getting a lot of snow? Do you get that lake effect yuckiness?

Oh, my RHR is normally 56-62, the last couple times it's been 43-45....I'm really tired of feeling crappy and dizzy

Maybe it's ear rocks.... Googling to see how to reposition them, hope I don't get any more dizzy than I already am. Feel like crap

  • orthostatic hypotension
  • Heart problems. Some heart conditions that can lead to low blood pressure include extremely low heart rate (bradycardia), heart valve problems, heart attack and heart failure. These conditions may cause orthostatic hypotension because they prevent your body from being able to respond rapidly enough to pump more blood when needed, such as when standing up.
Lisa ^^ just a thought if the dizziness is primarily when you stand up and also your hr is low.

Went to bed late again and was lazy getting up. I rode the bike to music instead of a dvd. It was nice for a regular steady pace. I do have to revamp my workout music, get rid of some stuff that just is not working anymore.

Mary - shout-out!
Jody - I love jammy days.
Ronne - Happy B'day to mum, have fun with the surprise.
Roxie - congrat's on the job.
Lisa - I have had the ear rocks before. My doctor gave me this thing to do with position/rotating my head. It worked. I have used it more than once. You do have to follow the directions and be patient (hold different positions for different) lengths of time.
Sheree - how are things going?

Murphy

Hello! Today did AOLIH, yesterday YR. Lisa, are you on a beta blocker? Maybe you just need to get your dose re adjusted? Weird that you said you have been dizzy! Me too! I have an appointment with the ENT tomorrow, mine is just random, nothing to do with position changes. Maybe the weather change has caused some vertigo? Jody, a pajama day! Love those! In fact I'm still in mine! I have to get to shower before school ends! The kids will think I've lost it! Murphy, glad you are on the mend! Maybe put the mucinex by your toothbrush? Ronne, enjoy your moms birthday! Roxie, congrats on the job! Fingers crossed it will lead to full time! Well, house cleaned. Workout done, have to shower and start my running! Hope a good day for all! Mary

I think it was definitely ear rocks. I did this: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pa6t-Bpg494 oh my, the room spun out of control I almost threw up (had phone close by in case I needed 911....suki needs to learn to dial that!). I was so sick. my friend said that means it worked, so tried it again and much better. .Crazy! I read to not sleep on affected side, I guess my affected side must be right side because I only sleep on that side since I determined sleeping on left caused my shoulder blade muscle to hurt (verified by my massage lady). My shoulder blade muscle has gotten better in last month, guess I'll try to sleep on left side to avoid rocks!
i think sleeping on my right side all night must trigger it eventually (like when my neck first started hurting and in the last 4 mths once I figured it wasn't helping my shoulder blade muscle). Back to my left side, hopefully my shoulder blade cooperates. I do not like sleeping on my back!

Jody, I read that this morning too, and it just didn't jive for me (dr always liked my heart beat...said it was nice and strong and slow). And I guess I didn't know it was also when I laid down (only sometimes I noticed), but that epley manuever when I laid back I thought I was going to spin off of this earth!)

Mary, I'm on a ace inhibitor and thought the same thing, but finally after pondering on this (and typing to you all) I remembered those darn rocks.

Murphy, how often do you have to do it? I now remember when I was going thru my neck issues the neuro saying about the rocks (and my friend too but that was such a mess I never knew what really helped (though I think I did the epley manuveur...just didn't know it ever did anything since I was so messed up then). Do you have any more things I should be watching for?

I did take the dogs for a nice long walk.

Good Evening,

I got called into sub teacher aide this morning so I just now got my workout in KCM Cardio Quick Fix 1 and my planks. That workout is never a big calorie burner for me so I either need to do both workouts add on a workout or do something else.

Lisa-sounds like the stuff I use to get and I can't ever remember what its called and it always affect my right side because when DH and I sit in our chair togethere I tip my head to the right, taking allergy medicine everyday has helped haven't had it in a long time. I went to and ENT and he did that move on me and you are right it does make you sick.

Murphy-I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Mary-you sound busy as usual good job with your workouts.

Ronne-I am not going to look for something else I really want this job I use to do work in a pharmacy some years ago and I loved it.
