Thank You, Cathe, for More Low Impact

Cathlete
I just wanted to say a sincere "thanks" for more stellar low impact workouts. I did Super Cuts today, and my knees are fine. That's wonderful! "All Out" is on board for tomorrow. I continue to be so impressed with how you get such intensity with low impact moves. Please, please keep them coming!

Please let us know how you like All Out and other Xtrain workouts from a low-impact perspective. I enjoy the Low Impact Series immensely but did not obtain To the Max, Crossfire, or any Xtrain workouts because of concerns about impact. Super Cuts and All Out look promising for those of us who need low-impact workouts. I do modify high impact workouts but I don't want to get to the point where everything must be modified.

I understand exactly how you feel. I did get To the Max and Crossfire, but modify LOTS and LOTS in both of them. For X-train, I only purchased SuperCuts, All Out, and Burn Sets because of the impact in so many of the others. I'm still considering Xtrain Legs because it looks low impact.

I can honestly say, there is nothing in Super Cuts that I had to modify! I did it yesterday, and my knees are not hurting at all today! I think you're safe with that one. I think SuperCuts could have been in LIS! Another great thing about SuperCuts is that it includes the two bonus core workouts and they are great.

I previewed All Out last night and it looks good too. I was going to do it today, but life got in the way. I'll let you know what I think about it after I do it, but the preview looks good.

I'm so happy to have some new low impact workouts that are really tough but easy on the knees.

Aw, thank you exercise lover :)

Hi Committed to Fitness, I won't speak for those who are doing the reviews, but my personal opinion is that All Out Low Impact and Supercuts are very non impact oriented. Supercuts might have one exercise in the whole workout that has a tiny bit of impact but my mind is so overloaded lately that I can't recall if I even left it in or edited it out, lol...

Cardio Leg Blast

Hello,

I just wanted to add my review on Cardio Leg Blast. I have Plantar Ficiatis in my right foot that comes and goes so I have to watch it.

I had a blast! There are high impact moves like air jacks, plyo jacks and some other higher impact moves but nothing that couldn't be easily modified. And the cardio sections were short, which I really, REALLY liked. LOL

Two thumbs up:)

Ohhhh, thanks. Another possibility. Would you say I'd have to modify 25% of the moves or lower? I really avoid all jarring, jumping moves (plyo, sissors, etc). I'd love to know what percentage of the workout is high impact. Thanks.

I did Tabatacise yesterday and that was easy to modify to no impact. I was so happy. Did this after low impact hiit.

Cathe, Love, Love Xtrain and LIS, especially Athletic training.

Wow, I didn't even think about getting Tabaticise! How would you modify it to no impact? The clip looks like all really high impact. Please give me some tips! Do you think it would be just as intense? Thanks.

My no impact version is not as intense but I still got a good workout. I only did one each, but on a couple cycles I did both since I was having so much fun. Just trying to remember - doing the sissors I use the gliding disks, when she does the little jumps from side to side, I do small shuffles, etc. I'll have to do this again and write down what I do so I remember.

I'm so happy this is easy to modify.

Amelia,
I am battling plantar fasciitis too (since July of 2012) and did a modified version of Cardio Leg Blast last night. I just didn't get as much "air" on the jumps and stepped up and down on the step instead of jumping up on it. I still had a great workout!!! I read Christina's (Weener's) post about incorporating the discs on Tabatacise and think I'll give that a try as well (I wasn't sure if I could handle Tabatacise!). Have you tried Tabatacise yet?

Christina,

Hello Nanbo,

I haven't tried Tabaticse yet but I did preview last night and I CAN'T WAIT to get all sweaty with it :D. It looks so fun.

I think the disc are a great idea to add in order to get the intensity up. As a matter of fact, I almost pulled them out during Leg Blast yesterday morning during the air jacks ( was going to do plyos with them instead) but I was too lazy. I think I did some side lunges or something instead, whatever to get my HR up.

I just did "All Out" this morning and REALLY LIKE IT! It got my heart rate up, worked especially my lower body, and was fun, fun, fun. It is quite low impact and can be tweaked to be even lower. I really appreciate the variety offered by having floor, step, and disc segments.

I can see lots of ways to use this one. I can see using it in its entirety, but the premixes also make it simple to choose one to get your heart rate up and then do a weight workout. I really like that Bonus Core 1 is on it too.

Great job AGAIN, Cathe.
