Melissa--Your picture trail is working. Your pictures are beautiful!!
Pinky, believe it or not, I don't have a picture of myself to add to the picture trail. The only reason I have one of this tree is because I wanted to use it for my Christmas card so I borrowed a digital camera and took about a gazillion pictures of it. Unfortunately, I really couldn't get a good shot that would work for my card. I'm going to have to find a better backdrop--the crushed velvet is so...Elvis--LOL!! The pictures I took really don't do service to the actual tree and ornaments.:-(

:7 :7 :7 I didn't think that at all, but now that you've said it, I'll keep thinking The King. :7
How about something white that's textured? Something reminiscent of snow? It's Christmassy, and it makes the reds and greens pop. It's gotta be pure white, I think, because the birds are light and silver, and since they're the stars of the photo, they gotta show. White is as neutral as you can get, and you can buy those picture cards with a colorful border to jazz it up.
Melissa - Does that star say Keanu Reeves? You have a beautiful family. And you now have me thinking about climbing mountains.

Thanks for the kudos, Pinky! That is Keanu Reeves. My DH can't stand him and calls him "Kenny Review" so when I was in LA I had to get my pic taken on his star. It was also the only cool one I could find that didn't have gum or some other kind of funk on it.
If you live near the mountains take a class and learn how to climb - even if it is one that is "only" 7K or so. It is really fun, challenging and makes you feel great. I also rock climb and indoor gym climb and those also make me feel wonderful. There is a rock gym in almost any city and they usually have beginner packages (some just for women) and classes! Let me know if you go for it! I also have some great books and stuff.
