Hello,

I'd like to purchase the Terminator and/or CardioMax/Cardio Kicks DVDs, but don't have a lot of room in my house for stepping at this time.

I have no problem using a bench/stool for some lunges, leg presses, etc. but need to know exactly how much step use is involved in both of these DVDs. I'll be moving and have more room soon, but want to purchase right away for a new challenge!

Also, what is IMAX 2, etc?

Thanks alot, Jessica

Hi, Jessica! The Terminator and the Circuit Max / Cardio Kicks DVD's both incorporate the traditional step a lot. Each of the Terminator's extended routines incorporate segments from I-Max 2, which is a step-based interval workout that is a whole lotta fun as well as a whole lotta productive exercise. Circuit Max (which is the companion to Cardio Kicks on the DVD version, not "Cardio Max"), also incorporates the step for the last 3 of the 6 cardio segments (step-kickbox, step and step cycles). Cardio Kicks does not incorporate the step at all; however, it does chew up a lot of floor space but you can modify a lot of the travelling moves by substituting calf-pumps, jumping jacks, plyo jacks etc. in place rather than travelling.

Again, I-Max 2 is a step-based interval workout, that has 10 segments of step-based mid-range cardio work and shorter "intensity blasts" that really drive your heart rate (not to mention leg muscles) to high levels. Some of the intensity blasts incorporate the step and some do not.

It may be worth your while to invest first in the Circuit Max / Cardio Kicks DVD first, and focus on Cardio Kicks and the first half of Circuit Max because they are floor only, and you can get used to some of the power drills in these workouts, drills that bubble up again in Terminator.

Hope this helps!

Thanks so much for your help. My sister told me the same thing, and confirmed your answers. She's a huge Cathe fan.

Thanks again, Jessie
