Tamilee Webb info

Cathlete
Hi guys. Seems like some of you were interested in the Tamilee Webb stretching series. I picked it up on VHS at Borders the other night for 17.99 for the two tapes. This was a much better deal than Collage (26.99 for the pair), but I am dissappointed to now find out that it is available on DVD :-( I would have gone that way had I known...
Anyway-- You can read some reviews on VF for details, but I just wanted to give my opinion.
I really like these videos, although I don't really know if they will truly increase my flexability... I think anyone can use them, from beginner to advanced, and they certainly won't hurt me, but I wish they were just a little more challenging. I need more stretches for the hip flexor and hamstring, and I didn't feel like I got enough with these. just my opinion.
However, and I know this shouldn't matter, but Tamilee just looks so pretty in this series, that I know I will do them often. The colors she wears are so bright and pretty, she looks to be in great shape, and the beach is awfully nice :) She explains the moves well, and after the relaxation one, I wanted to drift off to sleep :)
So, I'd reccomend them, but if you're looking for more of a yoga tape then a stretch tape, maybe look elsewhere.

I just posted a little info in the checkin about these tapes. Wendy, if I had known about the DVDs I would have gotten them also. I can't add too much more than Wendy has already stated. I think Tamilee is great in these videos and she gives great instruction. She makes you feel comfortable. I am not very flexible so I think I can grow with these. That is one of my goals this year. I really don't think you can go wrong with these if you are just looking for basic stretching.

Thanks for putting the information here. :)

I looked over at CKsales and they don't have any of Tamilee's tapes. I am going to e mail them to see if they can get them for me.

These tapes sound right up my alley...not too hard on you, good instructions and and very relaxing.

Too bad I'm not in the U.S. too! I could have bought the tapes from one of you so you could get the DVDs.

Glad your back is coming along fine, Eeyore, oops, I mean Kelly.
My 29 year old daughter likes Piglet and I like Pooh. Oh Bother!

I hate to add salt to the wound, but for those interested, you can get Tamillee's stretching DVD at www.deepdiscountdvd.com for about $15 including shipping. They also have Pilates for Dummies for about $10, Jennifer Kries 2 DVD pack for about $15, all including shipping.

RE: Recommendations on DVDs

Susan,

I received a newsletter from CKsales in November and they were offering Tamilee Webb tapes at that time. They had her Total stretch series on DVD for 29.95 Canadian. I'm hoping they still have some of the tapes mention in the newsletter. I could email you a copy if you like.

I had a question for anyone who has tried the following tapes and which one would you recommend:

Tamilee Webb " I want those Arms, Buns Abs" (DVD)
Quick FIX Total Mix (DVD)
Minna Lesig Emergency Workout (DVD)

I would like to purchase one of these DVDs to either do on days when I'm short on time or to maybe add sections here and there to my regular Cathe DVDs (I'm lucky enough to own all of them now). I thought that if I wanted to do a bit more abs, legs or arms I could just tack on a section from one of these tapes for something a bit different. Any feedback from someone who has done any of these tapes would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

RE: Recommendations on DVDs

Paulette......I emailed CKsales this morning about Tamilee. I did a search on her there and found nothing. I should get a reply soon. I do get their newsletters....that one must have gotten by me. Thanks so much for the information.:)

I can't help you with the tapes you want information on....but I did see the Minna Lesig offered in VHS form in my Avon catalogue! Just thought that was kind of interesting! :)

Hope you are having a nice winter in Saskatchewan.http://www.smilies-world.de/Smilies/Smilies_klein/krank.gif[/img]

RE: Recommendations on DVDs

So far our winter has been unbelievable. Today it was around +3 C and melting! :-cool Usually this is the time of year when we're fast approaching the minus 30s.

If I remember right, you're from Ontario. Would you be experiencing the same type of thing?

RE: Recommendations on DVDs

Hi Paulette.....:) There have been a few really cold days here but nothing like you would have gotten....no minus 30's...and we luckily missed that dumping of snow they got just south of us too. It is not a usual winter...whatever usual is.

The winters sure are changing everywhere I guess....much milder.
It makes me think I must get prepared for a hot, hot summer.

Changing the subject....Sounds like you live near Kim...sure would be nice to meet someone who works out with videos too. Maybe you'll get that chance to get together sometime. I lent some videos to a friend the other day....got me kind of excited to think I may have someone that understands the joys of working out to videos up close and personal!

Got kind of rambly...sorry
