T-12 Check-in for October 8-14, 2007

T-12 Sisters:

Glory! I feel good! I had a delightful day starting with my Bible study. I did not get to sleep last night until midnight because a friend who needed prayer called me late last night. I was running behind this morning, so I did the Muscle Max upper body push pull premix instead of the longer upper body premix. I love this premix! It is much more enjoyable for me to do workouts like this one and Supersets. I wrapped up my workout with the warm-up, cardio, and stretch from All Step. Fun, fun, fun! I love all the mambos, spins, and turns. The cardio workouts in the CTX Series are short, fun, and intense. Even though I did not get enough sleep last night, I am still floating on a cloud tonight. I am an intensity junkie, and I got my Cathe cardio fix this morning. I had forgotten how intense the cardio in this series is. I almost choked on my water when Cathe asked if we were cooling down with her or sucking water and staring at her. LOL! How did she know?

I am getting bored with my menus and craving pinto beans of all things. I am planning to go to the grocery store tomorrow after work and change my menus for Wednesday and Thursday.

I am looking forward to receiving my package from Cathe with the 4-Day Split. The cardio workouts are short, and I am hoping that they are super intense. If I know Cathe, they will be a blast!

We are not posting every day, so I decided to give a weekly format a whirl.

Blessings,
Heather B.

Good morning, Heather. Thanks for starting us off! We're all a bit busy right now, so maybe a weekly thread is a good idea for now!

If you're craving pinto beans....I say eat them! lol You could be craving much worse stuff, right? lol I'm SOOOO glad to hear you're feeling so well! I LOVE the All Step workout. It's short, fun, and effective!

OK...I have to be quick. I'm all packed and ready to go. I think I mentioned this to you guys...I"m taking the boys an indoor water park for today and tomorrow. They have NO CLUE we're even going. They just know we're going to do something fun, and that it's something we haven't done before! LOL I can't wait to see the look on their faces when we pull into the parking lot! LOL

I've got a cooler of BFL-worthy (aka clean eats, lol) food ready to go. I've got enough for 8 small meals (I packed 2 apples, 4 string cheese, 2 bars, 2 AdvantEdge bars, and 2 homemade tuna wraps.). They have food there, of course, but at least this way I save money AND know the food is BFL! I am, however, planning on dinner at their cabin-themed restaurant tonight. I already checked out the menu online and they offer salad selections with grilled meat. SO....I WILL EAT CLEAN FOR THE NEXT 48 HOURS! I WILL I WILL I WILL! lol

Tomorrow's UB workout will get done when we get home and the kids get tucked into bed.

OH...and this morning's cardio got done early. I did the HIIT on the treadmill and got that sick-to-my-stomach feeling again! LOL It's all good, though, right? Then I followed it up with abs, and Stretch max with the band. I'm impressed with how my flexibility is coming along!

Gayle

ETA: I forgot to mention that Dave told me last night he's going to order the P90X set. HOLY COW, Bat Man! A man (a boyfriend, rather) that wants to workout...possibly WITH ME? I've never had that other than DH about 7 years ago! Is he a keeper? I'm seriously thinking he is! lol

Hi Heather and Gayle!

Heather, yes, thanks for starting us off - seems like we all have been very busy this past week! LOL! Glad you got your cardio fix - I haven't done All Step in a long time but it was the very first Cathe video I purchased (came with the step). Me and DD had a blast trying to learn all of the steps! My have we come a long way LOL!

Gayle, have a blast at the indoor water park - what fun! I'm so excited for you all and have I mentioned I think your the greatest mom ever? :) Good job on that cooler - I know you'll eat clean. Great job on your workouts too! Wow, that is so wonderful about Dave - you guys can workout together - you gotta be lovin that! Have the boys been enjoying the foosball table?

Hi and hugs to Amy, Cheryl, Lorrie, Alesia and Belinda! Please check in when you get a chance! Miss you!

Wow, everyone, what fun is afoot!

Gayle, P90X???? Yes, I think he's sounding like a real keeper!!

I'm in Orlando today - got here yesterday afternoon. Yesterday I did MIS before the flight - my lower body is still cursing me today for that one - and this morning I did KPC from the condo I'm staying in. Had me dripping! Had to cut the abs a little short and modify, since I had no stability ball. So glad I brought that one with me.

Tomorrow will be either KickMax or Keep It Up/Six Pack... still deciding... Thursday will be a 5:30 departure for a 7:45 a.m. flight. Darn! Guess that one's my rest day (grumble).

Heather, the weekly thread sounds great for us right now. What a good idea from you, as usual! So glad you liked that All Step.

Have a great Tuesday afternoon, everyone!
Hugs to all -
Lorrie, Amy, Alesia, Belinda, Jean a big Hello!!
xoxoxo,
Cheryl

T-12 Check-in

I am blessed with abundant energy this week even though I have not been getting enough sleep. I need to start getting to bed earlier, but I am delighted that my way of eating is keeping my energy consistently high all day. I credit this to intense morning Cathe workouts, eating balanced meals and power snacks every few hours, drinking plenty of spring water, and taking Emergen-C.

After my quiet time this morning, I did the Kick Max warm-up and blast challenge followed by the warm-up, standing legs, and stretch from Gym Style Legs. What a fun combination! After experimenting with both ways, I have decided that weights first is best for me on upper body days and cardio first is best for me on lower body days. Training my upper body is my least favorite thing to do, so I like getting it out of the way and having a cardio workout to look forward to as a treat. I also get more out of my lower body workouts when I warm-up with cardio first, and it is difficult to give my all to cardio after an intense workout like Gym Style Legs. After the slow motion lunges and calf raises, I am ready to rest!

I planned menus for the next 2 days and went to the grocery store after work. My meals and snacks are packed for tomorrow. I saved the first segment of Core Max for tonight. I like this as a separate workout.

It is time to call it a day. Sweet dreams!

Gayle, have fun with your boys.

Pennie, I miss you!

Cheryl, I hope you are enjoying Orlando.

Blessings,
Heather B.

RE: T-12 Check-in

Hi, everyone!

The meetings in Orlando are going great! I did KPC this morning from the apt. I'm staying in. It had me dripping. Can't sleep - so I think i'll stay up and start KickMax pretty soon for today.

An interesting note - one of the industry analysts I was with at dinner declined the appetizer and dessert - stuck with just the salad and main dish of Salmon and rice/vegetables. He said that if I run a Google search on his name, I'll soon discover that he used to be 80 pounds heavier than he is now, and that he lost the weight following Weight Watchers some 5 years ago and has been vigilent about his eating ever since.

Wow! What an inspiration. Since these editor/analyst dinners generally go one for two hours I've typically done my best but participating fully (including dessert) and figured I'd work it off the next day or the next week. But for this analyst to sit all the way through our two hour dinner participating and enjoying all the discussions without also eating the fattening foods - wow, that's an inspiration. And being a man (middle aged at that), it was his health and vitality, not his vanity he was protecting. I stand in awe.

So that's my tidbit for this early morning.

Heather, so glad your energy is so high! Sounds like youo are having a wonderful week.

Lorrie, Gayle, Jean, Amy, Pennie, Belinda and Alesia - a big hug and hello!!

Cheryl

RE: T-12 Check-in

I think that I'm finally up for the day!! The past 48 hrs have been a sleep-a-thon for me!

Gayle- If Dave hasn't ordered P90X yet, I will sell him mine. I am not a big fan of it and would be more than willing to give him a great deal!!! It sounds like he's a keeper! I hope that you and the boys have a great time at the water park!!! Good job on the cooler, too!!!

Cheryl- That man sounds like a wonderful inspiration! I hope that you have a great trip home...too bad you can't swing through Pensacola! Or, better yet, we lived closer to Orlando!

Heather- Keep up the great work. Pinto beans? Hmmm... like Gayle said, there are worse things to crave!

Big hugs to the rest of you...Pennie, Lorrie, Jean, Alesia, Belinda....:*
