not fair the woman swimmer was disqualified for the same thing. hhm though same brand swimsuit maybe they should look into the quality of these things

Funny! I had not heard about that! Could have been worse though, seriously!

I see people are still being two years old and rating you with one star. NICE!

Sigh...whatevs...

Clarissa ;)

Personally, I think they should start designing men's suits like that :) Seriously, I am sure it was terribly humiliating but good for him for racing anyway but way wrong to DQ the girl for the same thing. Absolutely not fair.

Well you know, if giving me a one star rating can bring a wee bit of satisfaction to their sad, lonely little lives, then more power to 'em. :p

I suppose it could've been worse. Thank goodness he wasn't doing the backstroke!

Shana, LMAO! A swimmer's version of buttless chaps?

I agree about the woman swimmer too. It's beyond my comprehension that she gets disqualified, & he gets his cheeks posted all over the internet.

Take into account that the suit is a 500.00 suit(although he got it free for being on the team), not good advertising for the suit, but good advertising for his behind!

No sound here at work, but that was hilarious! I laughed out loud at the model too! Totally not fair that a woman was disqualified for something similar though. So typical!

i noticed this before too, and laura usually has interesting threads.my mindset is if you don't like the threads then don't be involved why is that so hard for some?

Funny! What concentration to be able to keep racing with such a breeze in back!

Of course, I think, if they DQ her, he should get the same treatment! So much for equality!

In all fairness, the Italian lady swimmer did not finish her race, she sat it out, which is why she was diqualified, not because her suit split.

Thanks for the clarification. My kids are involved in USA swimming and we even have a local boy over there right now. I was trying to figure out how a swimmer would get DQ'd for this.

These suits are so tight the swimmers get bruised trying to get them on. It is no wonder one of them split.

thanks for clearing that up. although did they not let her to finish or was it her choice? i think we have a new famous athlete LOL.

Aw thanks Idy, you're a doll. I like your posts too, they always make me smile. :)

And thanks Linda for clearing that up. I wonder why CNN would leave such a detail out of their story? Oh well. It is Jeannie Moos--b/c every cable news network has to have a comedian on staff.

Dorothy - How exciting about knowing someone there. And Really, I never would have thought they get bruises putting those things on.

Kassia - It was her choice.

Laura - Because it stirs the pot more if they leave that detail out. :p News programs love getting people in an uproar!
