Supercuts Firewalker problems

I love all of the XTrain videos, Super cuts especially, but during one specific exercise I'm having problems. The lateral curl and press with the Firewalker band (chapter 5 in the book) is difficult because the band curls up on itself and doesn't lie flat across and around my legs during the exercise. I've tried just trudging through with the band like that, but it really hurts my legs. I've also tried wearing shorts instead of Capri length exercise pants thinking that would give me extra friction to keep the band straight and flat, but that didn't work either. Do you have any suggestions for keeping the band flat and not all curled up on itself? I really like this one particular exercise, and really love any one that uses the Firewalker loop. Thanks!!

I have found that the band rolls more depending on where it is positioned on the quads. The higher up the more it rolls, try playing with the position. In the DVD it appears that Cathe has hers positioned in the middle of her quads, mine always rolled in this position. If I place it just slightly above the knees it does not roll.

I found this to be true for me, too. It is really worth playing around with the position to find one that works.

Funny to read this today. I never had an issue with the band rolling but today I did and no matter where I placed it it rolled. It did not hurt at all so I just went with it. I usually work out in shorts but today I had capri's on. I had chalked it up to that.

I find that it hurts more with shorts than capris when the band rolls up. Also, if I place it just above my knees, it doesn't roll as much but it makes it easier. So I just live with the roll and still get a great workout.
