Hey Cathe,
I ran 13K this morning. I had planned to run 14.5K, but shortened the route a bit for time, as I got started late. I did it on only 4 hours sleep and it was quite humid. I ran along Lake Ontario, among other places, with some hills. I am doing well with hills lately. For uphill, I shorten my stride, slow down, keep the same leg turnover and keep my body upright. For downhill, I lean forward, lengthen my stride and just let momentum take over, loosening my body up as I go. Much easier on the quads and more fun.
I start a new job tomorrow, finally saying goodbye to my psychopathic and sociopathic boss and saying hello to a whole new challenge.
My Cathlete workout buddy has been injured for the past month but is starting to be able to move again. I'm looking forward to being able to restart our Thursday night Cathe workouts again soon. I've missed her!
