Good morning ladies!

This will be my last fly by. I got lucky and didn't have to horse show today...YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! Hmmmm, could ya tell I didn't want to go lol? So, even though today was supposed to be a rest day I decided to slide Low Max in this morning. I have to say that this one has always had a bit of a dread factor for me (and still did this morning when I woke up). For whatever reason I've always found it a bit challenging unless I'm having a super duper strong leg day. Well, I felt like I had lead for legs and I *still* found it pretty easy today. I'm thinking it's all the leg work I've been doing the past couple of weeks.

The tourney started on a high note as I shot well the first three games (233, 237, 221) but I BOMBED the last three when we changed lanes so I don't have a chance of anything now. I'm pretty bummed to tell you the truth :(. The first three games were in the doubles event and DSO shot well so we might have a chance there...we'll see after today.

I will get here later tonight after work to catch up on personals but I wanted to get a couple of quickies in here...

Wendy - HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Christine - Glad to hear DH is on his way but, OUCH, on the finger!!

Kristi - WTG finishing but not pushing it too hard!

Jackie - {{{{{HUGS}}}} and prayers for MIL.

Lorie - I hope you're alright...very scary situation down there!

Sorry, that's all I have time for right now. I will see you guys tonight. Have a great day!

Good morning, cheetahs :)

Just enjoying some early morning quiet time before hunkering down.

Wendi :: sorry about the disappointing turnout in the tourney after such a strong start...fingers are crossed for you in the doubles event. Glad you get a break from showing today.

I rec'd AOS Providence and my new forearm guards and feel good enough to work out again, so today I'll be testing that bad bad out Can't wait! And then I'm going to write my arse off. :) *sings: I've got the power!*

Have a great day, everyone! :7 :7 :7

Hello girls,

wendi- sorry about the disappointment tourney event. i know you will shine in the doubles:)

cathy- enjoy AOS providence!! i really love that workout and i just think anthony is so cool:7

today i am doing a spinervals all sprints! coach troy here i come....}(

the challenge yesterday was so much fun. my team were the winners, woohooo!!

have a great day to all of you fitchicks!

Good morning cheetahs

Wendi...glad you did not have to horse show today...:)...way to go with Lowmax...

Cathy..I can only imagine the pressure you must be feeling, but I know in my heart, you can and will push through this. I just wish the crud had not hit at this particular time...I hope you have fun with your new AOS workout today..:)

Sunny...congrats to your Challenge team. Enjoy your spinerval workout.

Dallas...I have always liked the Bodyblast series too, mostly because of ALL the premixes. I plan on getting in a short run and maybe some EXT time also. I don't think I am lactose intolery...:D...so cute your ds said that! For the time I was trying Vegan, I never found a Vegan cheese that I could stand...I also missed eggs (we have used egg beaters for a long time), so I figured vegetarian was more the way I would go. I don't eat cheese or eggs often, I also use Tofutti for a vegan sour cream. So the occasional cheese is the only dairy I do. I was lucky as I am not a big Ice cream fan. Good workouts the last 2 days. Congrats to DS8 and his soccer team!

Christine...so glad your finger was not broken! Sounds like a nice 5 mile run with Jimmy yesterday. So hopefully DH is home now...:)...The Chi running thing was just so frustrating for me. I seemed to get more speed back but for what price? In all the years I have run I never had hip or knee issues and now all of a sudden. But I do agree, it might work well for some but not others...

So today I am thinking of a 20 min EXT workout before I attempt a 3-4 mile run. I want to get my legs warmed up good before I go outside...then I might do a stretchmax segment after the cardio.

Have a great day...:)

Good morning Cheetahs!

Thanks for all the prayers for my mom. Her blood levels finally stayed level and she was released from the hospital yesterday. She's still regaining her strength but she's doing fine.

I was too tired to move yesterday. So, I took it as a rest day. Got up this morning and did iTread #5 20 minutes and tacked on 10 more minutes. Got in 3.3 miles and did some stretching. Hope to be back on track tomorrow.

Sunny - The BL challenge sounds like fun. Glad your team won.

Wendy - Happy Anniversary to you and DH! Hope you had a wonderful night out.

Carole - I hope getting back to your old running style helps with the injuries. Maybe you can still use a few of the tips from Chi running. Glad you're enjoying the circuit workouts. Enjoy your run today.

Lorie - I saw on the news about the tornadoes in your area. Glad you're ok. Hope you're feeling better.

Shelly - ((((HUGS)))) to you for the ordeal you're going through now with telling your family about the move. I know they will miss you not being close by. Hope your mom takes the news better than you think she will. I finally brought some boxes home but nothing has found its way in them yet. Just didn't have the energy this weekend. Remember, we're here for you in good times and in bad times.

Linda - Welcome back! I haven't been keeping up the past few days. I hope you had a wonderful birthday!

Kristi - So sorry to hear about your knee pain during your 10K. I'm glad you were able to at least finished but am also glad that you didn't push and make things worse. How is the knee today?

Dallas - Enjoying that elliptical? Nice workout. Seems like you kept everyone busy yesterday. Did you see I responded to you about the brick? Will let you know for sure when I get the exact color.

Christine - Sorry to hear about your injured finger. Glad it's not broken. Glad to hear DH is coming home tomorrow.

Cathy - Glad you're toughing it out girl. Hope you can get some rest during spring break. Enjoy your workout!

Wendi - Enjoy that break from work today. Low Max is a toughie. Glad you made it through it ok. Sorry to hear your games didn't go well last night. Good luck with the doubles.

Hello to all others.

I need to get ready for church. Have a soothing and relaxing Sunday.

Jackie

Good Morning Cheetah Babes!:)

I got up at 9:15, can you believe it!? That NEVER happens. I went to bed at 3am though so I think I have a good excuse, huh? LOL

Well, we had fun last night. We went to dinner and then country dancing. We didn't get home until after some time after 1am and by the time I had my alcohol induced snack ;) and got to bed it was waaay late.

Dinner was delish! I started out with half a caraf of sangria all for lil' ol' me! }( No, I didn't finish it...but I was close! LOL Then we ordered a stuffed mushroom appetizer and I have crab cakes for dinner. They were phenominal! Funny-I've never been a crab person so I would never try crab cakes. Well, several months ago my mom convinced me to try one when we were up at my sister's house for something. I did and I really liked it! Since then I've been trying them in different places and have liked them every where so far! I still don't think I'd order crabs legs or anything like that but man, crab cakes are good stuff!:9 I also had some sinful chocolate thing for desert w/a cup of cappucino. VERY YUMMY!

So some old guy tried to pick me up last night at the bar while DH was in the bathroom! LOL He reminded me of my granfather and when he first came over I thought he was just being nice so I talked to him for a minute. When DH got back from the back from the bathroom he just stood on the other side of me. The guy noticed him and asked if he was my boyfriend. I told him he's my husband (not thinking anything of it cause again, I didn't think the guy was trying to pick me up!). Well, I've never seen someone take off so fast in my life!!! LOL A little while later I saw him sitting next to another young girl talkin' to her with his arm around her and then he started rubbing her back. Shortly after that she got up and appeared to be heading towards the bathroom. I never saw her go back by the guy. I guess she must have "forgoten" where they had been sitting. ;) LOL

Okay, I think that's the end of my "novel". Sorry for dragging on like that. I need more coffee and then I'll come back and hit the personals.:)

Back again before REALLY hunkering down.

After seeing the sales ad, I spontaneously decided to run out to Target this morning to nab a Wii for my sister, who has been trying unsuccessfully to get one. I knew my uncle was looking for one, too, so I called to give him a heads up and we wound up chatting for 45 minutes. So, I'm a little behind schedule, but that's OK.

Carole :: thank you for that vote of confidence. :) Hope you enjoy your run. IA about different methods working for different runners. Sorry Chi turned out to be the source of your problems.

Sunny :: ^^^ 5s on your team winning the challenge!!

Jackie :: glad to hear your mom is doing better. A rest day sounds like it did the trick after that rough week. I will probably work through spring break, but I'm VERY grateful to have the full week to get it all done for the deadline.

Wendy :: forgive me for that early AM text! Hope I didn't wake you. But I was going to see if you wanted me to pick up a Wii for you. Are you guys still planning on buying one? Glad you enjoyed your anniv. celebration. :)

OK, time to get serious...

Oh my god, Cathy, my phone is off so I haven't gotten the text yet! Darnit! I would have certainly had ya pick me up one! ACK! That's what I get for turning my phone off huh? LOL Oh well. My fault, my loss. Thanks so much for the offer though!:)

Okay ladies...Can I SCREAM!!!??? I just wrote out this long personals post that caught me up from where I left off y'day through this morning. I hit post and guess what!? It's GONE! GRRRRR!!!! I really need to start taking your advice and writing these long posts in word first!

Well, my time is up for now. I'll have to try to recreate my post a little later....

Have a great morning!:)

Good Morning Cheetahs!

DH’s flight is on time. He should be home about 2:30 this afternoon. I’m happy. And that gives me plenty of time to get things organized. I’m thinking of doing HLD – the entire workout. I’ll be careful holding the weight. The swelling is down, so it doesn’t look as bad. It’s still black and blue though. :p

Wendi – So glad you didn’t have to show today! Good job with Low Max! Sorry the tourney didn’t go the way you had hoped. Hopefully you’ll make the doubles, though!

Cathy – oh tell us how you like Providence! I’m with Sunny – that’s one of my favorites! Glad you’re feeling better! Nice of you to run to Target to get a Wii for your sis.

Sunny – YAY! Glad your team won! That does sound like a lot of fun! And I agree – Anthony is way cool! And pretty easy on the eyes.

Carole – It is frustrating with Chi Running – I was gaining endurance using that method. I saw many advantages, but oh well. As you said – at what price? Enjoy your run today!

Wendy – oooh, I LOVE crab cakes! That sounds incredible. I even have a WW recipe for crab cakes that is really good. Too funny about the old man. Good thing DH was there. Sorry about your post! How frustrating!

Jackie – Glad to hear mom is doing better!!!! I can certainly imagine you being too tired to do much yesterday. Good job today!

Well time for me to get my tail in gear. Have a great day ladies!!

Good morning cheetahs! The weather here in N. Ariz has been in the mid 60s the past week or so and this morning I'm looking out the window at snow coming down.... it is so crazy here this time of month! I got a reply from my father anyway to my email announcing our move. He was typically understanding and thoughtful... no word from Mom yet:( I'll give it a couple of days and then try calling her. I did two of the upperbody 4DSs yesterday and also got in an easy paced 3 mile TM run in the evening.

Linda- How wonderful to hear from you!! Wow, you were in Vegas more then a week.... I think I would have definitely been sick of it by then but some people just never get tired of it. Very glad to have you back anyway :) Happy very belated Birthday BTW!!

Kristi- Great job on toughing out that 10k yesterday!! How is the knee today????

Carole- Thank you so much for your ideas on veggie alternatives. I will not go Vegan and will still have some dairy products but I would definitely like to cut down anyway. Good luck on your run today.... I'll be anxious to hear how it went for you.

Dallas- I like your idea of Easter baskets.... way better then any chocolate bunny IMO. What's on tap for today?

Christine- Glad to hear that your finger is just bruised but that's still gotta hurt like hell:eek: Do you have a pretty black&blue fingernail to go with it? You're counting the hours now til your DH is home... yaaayyy!!!! Planning on a special homecoming meal?

Wendi- Very happy to hear that you don't have to deal with a horse show today. Sorry that you didn't live up to your expectations on the bowling tourney. Even the best have their off days. The scores that you acheive and think of as ho hum make my jaw drop!!! I've always considered Lowmax to be more of a leg workout then cardio. I can see why it seemed easier to you with all the weight workout you've been doing.

Cathy- You definitely GOT THE POWER babe!!! Hope your day is a productive one... I guess it already is with the score at Target!

Sunny- Congrats on your teams number one finish :7 :7 :7 :7 :7 :7

Wendy- x( x( x( x( I feel your frustration re the lost posts!!!!!
Hate when that happens! Your anniversary dinner description had me drooling:9 :9 :9 LOL about that randy old guy hitting on you. I bet it had your DH chuckling!

Jackie- I often feel like families get more exhausted then the patients do!! I'm pretty impressed you were able to get in a run at all after all that. Glad to hear your Mom is home now... just being there in familiar surroundings again will be a boost.

I think that about catches me up.... the snow is really coming down heavy now.... looks like a blizzard! Naturally I have to go into work tonight also:eek: For today I'll be doing 4DS LIS/Shoulders and then Bosu Blast:)

Okay Cheetahs...

Go out and buy yourselves the March/April copy of Muscle and Fitness Hers and do the Mint Condition work out on page 74! That thing kicked my arse all over the place!!!

OMG! I haven't gasped for air that hard in a looong time! I thought of Sunny wanting to hurl during an interval work out recently and trust me, I felt the same way a few times! LOL

I was sweatin' like a pig and my arms are on FIRE now! }( The first part is heavy duty on the legs but after that it's pretty light on the legs but I think if I add weight to the walking lunge sets next time, it will help work the legs more. It NEVER lets up on the upper body though!!!

The circuit ends with hanging ab work and straight legged levitation holds. YOWZAS! This work out is a keeper for sure!!!:7

Time for food, shower, etc.

BBL!:D

Hey there! Happy Sunday! At least it is happy until I start to think of going to work tomorrow :< ( Oh well!!

Dallas – Yes, I did have fun in Vegas on my birthday! Thanks for asking! Congrats to DS8 on his soccer game!!! Good job on your workouts yesterday and day before!
Oh, by the way, my sis joined HysterSisters! She loves it and she ordered the “Swelly Belly”…or however it is spelled ;>)

Christine – I am so glad your finger is not broken! Good job on your run! Where did you guys order AOS Providence? I will definitely get that one! Maybe it will be the ticket to getting me away from my fear of those things! Hope your DH has a good flight!

Cathy – Can’t wait to hear what you think of AOS Providence! Hope all is going better for you, now!! Arm guards are a good idea! I need those!! You’ve got the power!! :>)

Wendi – Sorry about the tournie! But, my goodness, you still did great! Look at those games! Don’t just hate “lead legs!” But great job on Low Max, even with lead legs and it felt easy!!! That is great!

Sunny – Congrats on your team winning the challenge yesterday! Was that some of your clients that formed a team or something you joined? Enjoy spinervals!!!

Carole – Enjoy your EXT and run! I hope you feel good during your run! Count me in as another one that really liked the Bodyblast series! I really love it!

Wendy – LOL….That is funny about the ole “gentleman” trying to pick you up and your DH showing up! I’ll bet the man felt like crawling in a hole ;>) Yummy! That food is making me hungry! I think being up until 3:00 a.m. is a good enough reason to sleep til 9!! :>) You can scream! The same thing happened to me yesterday! I am doing mine in Word right now….that is why I can’t use and “real smiley’s” ;>)

Jackie – I am so glad your mom is doing better now! I know it is such an awful feeling when something is wrong with your parents (well…anyone that you are close to!) and you don’t really know what is going on! Good job on your run! Thank…I did have a good BD!

Shelly – Snow!!! Enjoy it for me! Yes, I was definitely ready to come home from Vegas! I was feeling very irritable by the time we left :<( That is great that your dad was understanding. I hope that your mom doesn’t give you too hard of a time. How close is the move?

This morning I went outside and ran 8 miles. It was cold and windy, but it felt so good!

Hope everyone has a wonderful remaining weekend!

My in-laws are coming today and spending the night, so I have got to get busy!

Wendy...sounds like you and DH had a great dinner out. LOL about the old guy trying to pick you up. What a goober!!! Sorry you lost your post. I always use Notepad myself. What kind of workout is Mint Condition anyways??

Cathy...I did enjoy my run! I figured it never hurts to try something new (Chi running) but when it seems to cause more injuries, you have to go back to what works. So, how many Wii's did you score at Target?

Jackie...Glad to hear your Mom is gaining her strength back and has been released. I will still use some of the Chi tips, just not the overall form. Hope you enjoy church and a relaxing day...:)

Christine...that will be nice when DH gets home later. Hope the HLD workout went well with the black & blue finger!!

Shelly...wow! you have snow?..I am so jealous! Enjoy your 4DS workout and Bosu Blast.

Linda..good job on the 8 miles. Hope you have a nice evening with your in-laws.

I first did a 20 min iClimb on my EXT before heading out on a run. WOW...going back to my old form was easy...and I only felt my knee twinge once! I ran 4 pain free miles with DH and Sadie on his bike (he has a basket for Sadie) Now I am really convinced it was the Chi running that messed up the knee. I will keep icing and strengthening my quads to help the knees. I won't run again until Wed. I feel so much better after the run today...:D

Hi Girls :)
Sorry for the interuption in your thread :)

Are you girls going to start a rotation using the New Rules of Lifting for Women? I have the book and was very interested in it. Although I must say I'm into running now so not sure I agree with what the book says about cardio. I started a 12 week challenge in January and I met my goals(weight is down to 116 and Body Fat dropped like crazy)I have been able to increase my endurance in running and also knock some minutes off my pace. I know at this point I'm not looking to drop any more weight but wish to lean out and tone up so to speak.

Was wondering when and if you are starting? And would it be ok if I maybe join in

Thanks :)

Drive by post...I did Circus Circuit (#26) today!!! What a way to burn close to 600 calories! I like it. }( Although between L&B and this my legs will be looking forward to day one of the recovery week w/YogaX. :7

I have to get the kids ready for bed, but hope to get back tonight for personals!
