Thanks Dutchie!...I think I've told you that so far I have been lucky with my knees. My problem seems to be my achilles...I do need to take it easy though because for the first time ever after the run yesterday I felt nauseous all day...

...still not 100% today.
Thanks Maria...I am jealous though that you can get your DH to work out with you...
Sandra...I haven't done a marathon in about 2 years due to an injury, but normally I do 2 a year. I have always loved distance and I rarely get bored. I have sung songs in my mind, worked out problems and cut long runs into segments, not neccesarily miles. Like yesterday, I never thought of the distance being 18.6 miles. I thought of the course in different parts. I know that alot of time distance running can be a real head game for many!
Laurie....I know...I do forget about being so used to doing distance that 8 miles is ALOT for most people. I forgot to comment on your enjoying "Walk This Way"...huge Aerosmith fan...

...the best is when I saw Scott Hamilton one time ice skate to "Walk This Way"...awesome...
Suzanne...thanks....I have never been able to get my quads quite as defined as the rest of my body...must be a trouble spot...
And...Mari...thanks for the Elliptical trainer link. Very nice machine and I will be thinking about it...
