Good morning Mariángeles. I really like Imax2 also. My legs aren't too sore from the run yesterday, which is good! Ill be doing some abs and about an easy 8 mile run...Have a good day...:)...Carole

Jeez Carole, I don't run your distances, but running two days in a row would totally mess up my knees. I really envy you.

Congrats on your win yesterday. 30K in itself is very impressive. But winning it? I'm in awe :+ :+

I'll just stick to a Yogazone today. Nice and relaxing.

Dutchie :) :)

Hi everyone,

Carole, I too am totally in awe of your running!

I did CTX 10-10-10 cardio only and Step Works today. (I put in some extra cardio as I was really munching on all kinds of stuff yesterday. I don't know where these cravings came from!) Anyway, after those, I actually got my DH to work S&H shoulders with me! That was fun, we managed well with the dumbbells we have changing dumbbells between sets. It's nice to notice I can actually match his weights no problem! I'm doubling up on S&H shoulders this week because I really like what shoulder definition does for overall bodyshape. I don't have much of a waist, so having bigger shoulders looks better...;)))

Yes, I agree with someone who said S&H takes a lot of time. Me too, I love the series, but I don't like how much time it takes. Plus I'm somewhat of a cardio addict, so got to fit that in there somewhere too. Anyway, now I've been doing just one bodypart most days, which actually feels quite nice, and doesn't make it too long. I think I'm going to keep doing this for another week.

Hope all of you enjoy a nice Sunday,

Maria

Good morning,

Carole, you're 12th marathon!!! I am very impressed. How many do you do in a year? And how do you keep yourself amused during such long runs? My biggest problem with running is that part way through I get bored, and then can't keep my mind off the little aches, or the tiredness creeping into the muscles. How do you keep it interesting?

I think I finally nailed my form on SH lying tricep extensions. Cathe states that she feels it near the top of her arm, but I always feel them closer to my elbow. Yesterday I experimented a bit during the reps, and finally got it. Today, my triceps are rather, ah, sore.

Maria, you and I are similar. I've been working very hard on my shoulders and upper body in general, because my waist is not much to speak of. The pyramids and the SH series have done wonders for shaping my upper body. Now I need to move somewhere where I can wear tank tops more than 8 weeks out of the year :)

Today is my rest day, so just did Yogazone Conditioning and Stress Release. Felt very good.

Have a good day,
Sandra

Hey All!! I am also in awe of your running achievements Carole! The words "an easy 8 mile run" will never come out of my mouth, you are inspiring and your passion for running is obvious.

I've said it before but I love my Sunday workouts!!! Today I did IMAX Xtreme and skipped the weight portions, great cardio!!! After that I did Pure Strength chest and shoulders followed by chest and shoulder work from Timesaver. Upper body is feeling great, loved the challenge and am really digging my DVDs, so easy to get to where I want to go and endless opps for mish moshing!!

Sandra, isn't it amazing how micro adjustments can make an exercise feel brand new!!! Good Work!

Enjoy your Sunday!

Take Care
Laurie:)

Good Afternoon all,

I did bootcamp this morning. This one always gets me. You know what I mean :7 !!

All this talk of running makes me want to take it up for cardio. I do jog on occasion but nothing like you ladies are talking about LOL.

Catherine

Congratulations Carole on winning the 30K run! Great job.

TOday I did a full body weight circuit with lots and lots and lots of weighted lunges. I also did 30 minutes of abs. I just read M&F Hers this weekend and Mike Davies recommends lots of lunges for women like me with big quads. I spent an hour and half with very short rests in between sets and felt quite sweaty at the end. I will also do KP&C and a short run outside right after KP&C.

Have a good weekend all. Tomorrow I am treating myself to a full body massage for the first time ever. I am looking forward to it.

Well It's afternoon so good afternoon:). Yesterday I took off and today I did my legs using my machine in the basement then went on the bike and did the interval program.

Stayfit I love IMAX 2 it is one of my favorite from the IS series. Well I hope you have a great day too:).

Carole and easy 8 mile run, gosh I wish I could just run 3 miles.

Good afternoon to everyone, probably almost midnight for stayfit. Today I did Pyramid lower body, upped my weights for two exercises, pyramid biceps and some ab work. Tomorrow, step blast.

Thanks Dutchie!...I think I've told you that so far I have been lucky with my knees. My problem seems to be my achilles...I do need to take it easy though because for the first time ever after the run yesterday I felt nauseous all day...:(...still not 100% today.

Thanks Maria...I am jealous though that you can get your DH to work out with you...:)

Sandra...I haven't done a marathon in about 2 years due to an injury, but normally I do 2 a year. I have always loved distance and I rarely get bored. I have sung songs in my mind, worked out problems and cut long runs into segments, not neccesarily miles. Like yesterday, I never thought of the distance being 18.6 miles. I thought of the course in different parts. I know that alot of time distance running can be a real head game for many!

Laurie....I know...I do forget about being so used to doing distance that 8 miles is ALOT for most people. I forgot to comment on your enjoying "Walk This Way"...huge Aerosmith fan...:)...the best is when I saw Scott Hamilton one time ice skate to "Walk This Way"...awesome...:)

Suzanne...thanks....I have never been able to get my quads quite as defined as the rest of my body...must be a trouble spot...:)

And...Mari...thanks for the Elliptical trainer link. Very nice machine and I will be thinking about it...:)...Carole

Hello everyone!

Yesterday I did IMAX2 and abs from C&W. Then of course I blew it by having more than just a little bit of wine last night:eek: !! Today I did ME and after cleaning a little around the house I am going to do CK, hopefully that will get me back on track;) !

I hope everyone had a great weekend!!

Hello All

Finally I separated myself from the elliptical today without too much anxiety :) and did 40 min on the rower. It was followed by SS. I'm thinking about one or two weeks of SH starting tomorrow.
Carole, congrats on the race!

Have a great evening girls, Mari
