Summer Fitness Challenge Feb7-13

How about no carbs after lunch. So, to make it simple no carbs after 2pm. Does that sound good to you? I think we should call an official date where we post new pics. Do you want it to be exactly 2 months from now, or 3? 2 months from now would be April 12. Let me know, I am flexible.

Maybe other people in this thread would like to join us. :) We could keep one another on track. :)

Lori, are you doing a particular rotation?

HI Gals,
Just finished a workout and I am in need of some sleep! I did a 5.5 mile run and some UB work.
Lori-2 p.m sounds good to me.I think we would see results in 2 monthes.I also think that if we have an event or something to go to we should have a free night.Im not saying that so I can cheat.My free nights will be very minimum b/c I am working every weekend in Feb.I need some ideas other then salads though.I am not a rabbit.I would rather just eat the meat.Now, I think I would like having meat mixed in with a variety of veggies.Sort of like a stir fry without the rice.
I am not following a particular rotation right now but I read one that was interested in earlier but I don't know if my schedule will allow it.It was an hour cardio in the morning and one body part.And in the night time she did another 30 min of cardio.It would be no problem on my days off.I need to get the HC series in my hands and then I will see what I can do.
No workout for me tomorrow.I have a long day at work.I get off at 6:30 and I have to go back at 10:30 for a couple of hours.
I will check in tomorrow.

Hi Lori, okay, we will take pics 2 months from now. I am sort of scared, in a good way. :7 :7

The rotation you mentioned sounds doable. It sounds great for me because I am looking to get leaner and plenty of cardio is the ticket for that. Wow, another 30 minutes of cardio in the night is a lot. :) If I could do an hour a day and one body part, that would be an accomplisment in itself.

I think a cheat day once a week is a good idea too. I have an outing on Tuesday night. I think I will bring a veggie tray since we all have to bring something.

I want those HC's too!! I want to focus on endurance and cardio for these 2 months.

Have a good sleep, I am going to bed too! I need to get serious and workout in the mornings most of the time, instead of some of the time!

Happy Saturday Ladies,

I did Kick Max this morning. One of the combos you double time your jabs but keep your legs at single time-I couldn't do that this morning and was glad I was in my basement and not in a live class. I probably looked quite amusing. It has a leg conditioning section at the end and I'm sure my buns will be feeling it tomorrow.

I think tomorrow I will do muscle max and either low max or Imax 3. My eating has been pretty good, except for today when our thin mints were delivered. It's possible I've eaten an entire sleeve of them.:(

Will let you all know what I think of the HC's I do tomorrow.

Good Morning Ladies,
No workout for me today.All work,work,work! I am just getting use to this new job and I have 4 flights today.The weather here isn't that great so hopefully they will make it.We had to call another girl in b/c there is no way I can do this by myself! Sometimes I can get easily flustered and I don't think clearly.I would have never been able to be a nurse or Dr.As long as I don't panic I am o.k.

Diana-I am not a kickboxing fan(I am sure you heard me say that before)I got a feeling KickMax will probably be one of the last workouts I will be trying.

Lori-I really like the sound of that rotation as well.I think I may follow it on the days that I can.I don't know if I will start right away though b/c I want to try out all of the HC series workouts.When I have new workouts I could do 2 or 3 a day.I use to always workout 2 times a day.I may have given them all a try by Wed.My delivery notice is for tomorrow! I'm excited.If we aren't having carbs at a certain hour and then we workout in the morning before we eat, I bet we will see results fast! Our bodies should be buring fat then if I all we had eaten the night before was protein and veggies.Hope we can stick with it.I tend to pick at sweets in the night time.I will have to tape my mouth up.

I have a feeling we will see some nice results too. We can stick with it! I just have to tell myself it's only 2 months. I have to do it anyways, I am in another challenge with my sister, brother-in-law, and my husband. So this gives me lots of accountability. My challenge with my sister started a few weeks ago. I have been exercising, but not eating very well, so this will help me. The loser of the challenge has to walk down the beach in a bikini at 12noon during Spring Break (we live in Daytona Beach), with a sign that says "wide load" on our bum. I know it's crazy but you have to have some incentive!!

I am going to record my food and workout daily, and I am taking measurements today.

Lori I don't think you will have any problems at all, you are such a consistent exerciser and look absolutely gorgeous now. I don't see where you could go wrong! :) I don't think a few sweets are going to do any harm.

I am power walking with my mom today and doing ME. Have a great day.

Hi ladies! Emailing from Vermont (I just can't stay away!). I want to do the no carbs after lunch plan too! I was already sort of trying to do that - getting carbs early after workout then cutting after lunch. Didn't have much time to read about the rotation you posted Lori but will when I get home.

Vermont is beautiful, and actually doesn't feel as cold as I expected. We'll have to see if fiancee likes the school - it would be a hard transition from the south!

Hardcore should be there when I get back - can't wait! I'm scared about the sound though - have any of you had trouble? Talk to you later!
 
Well, it is almost 2 o'clock here! I just got some fruit in before I start.DH phoned earlier.He was gone with his buddies for the night.He bought 2 steaks but didn't eat them, so he said he was going to cook them today for dinner.I said, prefect,I would like to have a nice salad to go with that.:) So now he is going to go to the grocery store and get what he needs for my salad!:) I should tell him what I am doing though b/c he likes to eat chips in the night time.Maybe he will go crawl in a corner and eat.He is a meat eater anyway.If I threw out every potatoe and loaf of bread out, that I have in the house, he wouldn't care.
I am going to try and work out twice each day this week.Up until friday, when I start work again.Shouldn't be a problem.When I get my new workouts tomorrow,I plan on doing Imax 3 and something else:) Then I will do a 30 min run tomorrow night.
Thats a pretty big bet you have going on with your sister! You better win.But you lots of time to work at it.

FFD- We must have been posting at the same time.Now there is 3 of us.Perfect.There wasn't much to the rotation I read about.But it seems like a good plateau buster.I don't have my series either and I was also worried about the sound alittle.But then others posted that they don't have a problem with them.I will probably be one of the ones who don't have a problem.I am pretty easy going and I don't hear the music much.In Imax2,I loved songs in interval 2 and 9.Now when I workout, I am usually thinking about stuff so I have the music blocked out.Regardless, it would have been nice to have the music louder option,like the other dvds.
I forgot the mention that when I got up todat I was 2.5 lbs ligther.I am not sure why.May be b/c I worked out before I went to bed and I didn't rehydrate myself.I did have two glasses of water though.I will go by what the scale says in the morning.

Hi Ladies....I am not going to do the carb thing after 2 p.m. WW's seems to really be working for me right now, so I will stick to that. I like to eat some WW's ice cream at night anyway. I did Low Max yesterday and really liked it. Tomorrow I am going to start out with the Gym Style workouts. My husband made a big pan of brownies and they are sitting right on the stove. They look and smell so good. I have 15 Flex Points left, but I am going to have a bowl of ice cream tonight. Tomorrow I weigh in, I will post my results!!!!!!!

Lorisax, good for you that you are doing so well on WW. I can't remember, how did you do with the last challenge. WW works. I shouldn't of quit, but I found myself not "counting". Well I did great today so far. Tonight I am having london broil and veggies, and light cesar salad.

I did ME today, and instead of power walking, I went to the mall with my mom and sister. Breakfast and lunch went well.

What really helps me at night is no sugar added hot chocolate, or green tea. If you like green tea, Celestial Seasonings makes a green tea that is called "antioxidant", it is delicious and has a citrus flavor.
