Summer Fitness Challenge Feb7-13

I got my Hardcores yesterday. Today I am going to do Muscle Max, and the step sections from Imax 3. I did not even open the box until 10:30 last night, I was so busy, and gone. i waited all day to see if the UPS man woudl bring them early, I finally did my workout at about 2, and after I got started, my husband brought the box downstairs. Just my luck!!! Oh well, it will make fun for today. I will check back later and let you know how I like what I did!!!!

Lorihart, I am glad you are liking your new job. What exactly are you doing? I was missing for a little bit when you found your new job. Do you miss being a hair stylist? I am watching American Idol too. This is the first time I have watched all the episodes. I plan on watching the whole season.

FFD, have fun in Vermont. I am so jealous. :) Vermont is so beautiful.

Lorisax, enjoy your new DVD's. I didn't order until later so I won't be getting them right away.


Well I actually woke up early this morning and did push pull. I just ran yesterday. I wanted to do KPC yesterday too but I was feeling tired. I want to get in another short jog this afternoon or maybe a long walk with the kids.

This morning was PLB and will do some cardio at the gym this afternoon.

NurseLRT my boys are 16, 14 and 8.

My legs are definitely feeling much firmer.

I did Muscle Max this morning, and I loved it. It was slower, and heavier reps than ME or PH. I did the cardio from SJP afterwards, and my legs were fried. I REALLY, REALLY liked this workout.
Tomorrow is Kick Max.

Hi everyone,
FFD-Thats rotten.I would have been so mad at myself if I did that!Now you know for the next time.It takes a while for these workouts to be ready.I guessed the end of Jan or Mid Feb.I was pretty close.I remember last series,(i think)they had some problems and had to send some workouts back.Something like that anyway.I REALLLLLYYYY hope to get mine before the weekend.Some people in Canada have gotten their shipping notice.I will have to check my visa again tomorrow morning and see if anything as been charged.
When I was at work,there was a UPS plane on the runway and I was thinking....could my parcel be on there? There are a few planes that come in and out delivering mail.They may find me in the belly of a plane yet, looking through bags!
Lori- I got a new job at the airport.I work for a aviation place that caters to private planes.Its a refueling stop mostly.I may meet some important people sometime but its only been wealthy people or pilots just on their way somewhere.I don't know if I will miss hairstyling.I don't yet and my family may keep me going long enough that I won't miss it.I thought it was going to be strange first but it didn't take long to get use to it.Like tonight is a Wed night and I ALWAYS worked on Wed nights.Its a nice change.I was also working for a airline a couple of days a week but they are closing down their service here so I won't be working two jobs anymore.Thats fine with me though.I can only handle one full time job.
Well, today I did a 50 min run and CTX UB.It was a good workout. I was pretty tired when i was finished,

Good morning!
Lori-I got shipping notice today,as well.It was actually last night but I didn't get it until today.Im very excited! I am hoping it won't be long.
I am at work now and really sleepy.Its only 7 in the morning.The good thing is, I am off for the rest of the day.I am not use to that b/c I always worked ALLLLLL day long on Thurs.I am really enjoying this new schedule.:) And I really don't miss my old job.I was talking to one of my x-co-workers last night and she said its the same there.Nothings changed.My old boss is still whining and her life is in shabbles.Im glad I got out of there!
I am not sure what workout I will be doing today.Cardio and Legs, I guess.On my way home I am going to buy a measuring tape and a new book so that I can record the things I eat and do.Its always motivating....and my pants are getting tigher! Oh dear...I will have to tape my mouth up!

HELP ME UNDERSTAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so I climb on the scale this morning after promising myself that I am not going to avoid the &*%&@%$# thing just because I don't like what it says. Since starting this challenge in, what, October, I had lost a net of 4 pounds and been stuck at the same weight for MONTHS, with seemingly no ability to change it by following WW religiously or not at all.

This past week, eating TERRIBLE. Did January rotation, had to be off working out a whole week due to illness (gained 2# over that week). Started working out this weekend, have done 3 workouts - eating TERRIBLE. Cake, icing right out of the container, tortilla chips, junk at work...

Ladies, I LOST WEIGHT - I'm a whole pound and a 1/2 below that plateau I couldn't get past! Obviously, I'm thrilled about this, but honestly a bit upset because I cannot seem to figure out how my body works!!


This is what has been different despite bad eating. I've been eating meals more frequently, trying to eat fewer simple carbs and more veggies at night, and protein with each meal. More water, at least for the past couple of days. Guess the thing to do is keep these changes up and see if my weight continues to change? Also, could this possibly mean that higher calories work for me for weight loss? Think I've been getting between 1700 and 2000 every day since Friday...

Will do SJP today and maybe PUB if time...
 
FFD, that Jan. rotation must be working for you! Even though you are having cake, etc. you must be burning more calories than you are taking in. 1700-2000 is going to cause you to lose weight when you are exercising diligently. Good for you!

I guess when we stop obsessing and eat healthy most of time and indulge a little of the time, we will still lose weight. Way to go! :) :)

Good Morning Ladies,

This morning was IMAX2, what a fun workout. My hardcores are scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. I still plan on following the August Rotation but possibly using comparable Hardcores in some workouts. I think Cathe will probably post a HC rotation for March so I will need some familiarity with them.

FFD-great job busting that plateau. I know how frustrating it is. Maybe I should try increasing my calories, obviously what I'm doing isn't really working for me as far as wt loss is concerned. However, my abs are developing quite nicely and my legs are feeling much firmer, especially the hamstring area.

Diana, sounds like you are doing well. Today I took they day off. I voluntered at my kid's school, so I didn't get my workout in. I did walk for 45 minutes with my kids and pushed the stroller.

My HC are to arrive on Valentines Day. Eating was pretty crappy today. I had some valentine candy and a piece of pizza. I am having a healthy dinner though.

Hi Gals,
FFD-Congrats on the weightloss! I hate it when I lose weight and I don't know why.Its confusing.Then you don't know what to do to continue the weightloss.You feel as if you should have written down everything you ate in the last couple of days.
I did the Gualant today.I don't think I spelled that right.I can remember when I use to think some of those workouts would kill me but I think my endurance as really gotten up there with all the interval runs I do.It has no choice I guess.Hopefully I wll be ready for what Imax 3 as in store for me.
I can't beleive we are getting all these new workouts! We use to only get 6.Now we get 10-11,depends on what you ordered.

Good Morning Everyone,
Nobody around yet today? Oh well.....I am pretty lazy myself.Im not even close to being social yet.Its a good thing I don't have to be anywhere:)
I woke up today and started a new food journal and I recorded my weight.I am also going to take my measurments today but I still need a measuring tape! I was starving when I woke and thought I would have a bowl of oatmeal.Well,I took a couple of spoonfuls and some of it must have hit the tooth that I just had filled.Holy Lord....I got it set off! He told me it would be sensitive to hot and cold but I didn't know it would act like this! Its still hurting and it ruined my breakfast.I am thinking I am going to need more work done on this tooth.:eek:
I think I am going to go ahead and workout soon.I am hoping my workouts will be here today and if I keep putting my workout off and nothing shows up,I may not get a workout in.A friend of mine also wants me to come to her house and put a color in her hair but I don't want to leave my house until I know that my parcels not comming.Im a loser aren't I?
My plan is to do a run,L&G and abs.Im also going to try and cut out alot of the sugar that I eat.Good Luck to ME!

Happy Friday Ladies,

My HC's are being delivered today and I can hardly wait to stay up all night previewing them!!!

This morning was HSTA and I plan on running at lunch time. It is supposed to be in the mid 50's which is perfect for me, a fair weather runner. I also did Leaner Legs last night and this morning all those stepups really got in there in good, if you know what I mean. Also, I noticed that my jeans aren't as tight on my thighs as usual. This weekend I plan on doing Kick Max in place of KPC tomorrow, and Sunday I will try Muscle Max.

Diana-I hope you got some sleep last night! I would have done the same.DH mentioned earlier in the week,that maybe we would get a movie for Friday night.I said,"well,if my new workouts are here, we will have 11 new movies to watch":) For some reason her wasn't in to that.

Lori-I understand about the KickMax.I don't have it yet...but I am not a lover of Kickboxing anyway.I don't know why b/c I always feel like I have had a good workout AFTER I have done it.Maybe I feel like I am not sweating enough.Sweating is an indication that I am having a good workout.

I didn't get my workouts yesterday:-( DH had a idea though.One of his friends works at the post office so he called him to see if he was going in to work last night to sort the mail that came in.He wasn't going in but he said a flight comes in early Sat morning so he will run up to the post office later, to see if my parcel is there.It must be in town this weekend,considering that it is suppose to be here on Mon.i would like to go home to my workouts when I get off.A friend of mine wanted to watch a movie but if I get my workouts, I may have to cancel plans!:)
I am at my new job today all by myself!I think I will be o.k.There isn't alot on the go so there shouldn't be any surprises.I hope not.I'm new, I can't handle any surprises!
I think I have a new diet and it isn't by choice.The tooth I had filled last week is really sensitive to hot food.I am hoping that it is still in the healing process b/c it was really deep.Everytime I eat something hot my tooth aches so its hard to eat.We went out for dinner last night and I had to doggie bag my dinner.

I did PLB this morning, lunges are still my least favorite. I ran yesterday with my mom. The weather here is absolutely beautiful, it's going to be hot again before I know it.

Lori, sorry about your tooth, sounds painful.:-(

I have come to the conclusion that I just can't do South Beach consistently. Somedays I can do it all day, other days I need some carbs. I really miss oatmeal and yogurt, and fruit! I don't know why I try to do these crazy eating plans. I feel so deprived and then I will eat about 20 saltines. Where is the sanity in that?? I have decided I will never "cut carbs" again. Yes, refined carbs, but not quaker oats, fruit, whole wheat bread, etc. It's just not "normal" for me. I think I can remain more consistent if I don't forbid certain foods.

Lori-I can't imagine running with my mom.Must be nice.Maybe I will run with my daugther when I get older:) Hopefully she will be active.
I think I tried SBD one time.And I didn't make it through the day.Thats why I was thinking about cutting carbs out after lunch.I think I could manage getting through the rest of the day.Just as long as I had some carbs to start me off with.
Would you like to try that? I would be interested in doing that together! Then we can post our pictures again in a couple of monthes:) And exchange recipes b/c I am clueless when it comes to variety!

Lori, I would love to do that! I was thinking the exact same thing. I was saying to myself "I can do it if I have whole grains in the morning and then have salads and protein for lunch and dinner." So, yeah lets do it. I would like to post pics again in a couple of months, it will be bathing suit season soon here, so I am game. :)

Lori-When are we starting ASAP? Or tomorrow? Its 4 in my world now,i could stop now if you like.When I don't have carbs in the morning,I get very light headed and weird.I just need them to start my day but I don't think I need them so much in the evening.Especially if we do our workouts in the morning we will have lots of energy but probably no so much in the evening.At what time do you suggest we not eat carbs? Lunch time?
I just had a call and I have a plane diverting here.This is my first shift on my own.I am a little bit nervous but not to bad.Theres nothing better then jumping right in!
