suggestions please

Hi,
What would all you experts out there recommend for me. I would like to build strength probably more than anything. However, I want nice definition not a lot of bulk. (I realize you don't really "bulk up" unless you're seriously body building.) I do have faster FIRM tapes so I was wondering about the S & H series??? But, maybe PS or PH would be better for me. Help, I need your knowledge.

The Firm (as well as PH) is endurance oriented, whereas Slow & Heavy and PS are both strength oriented. I would suggest PS. But I would also suggest clean eating and some cardio so that you will be able to see all of the beautiful, lean muscles you work so hard for. I, more than anyone, need to listen to my own advice. I would suggest either PS or MIS. I think these are the most basic of Cathe's strength tapes -- by this I don't mean that they're easy, but they are less specialized in their focus than some of the other strength tapes and so you'll get a lot of use out of them. Since you've indicated you primarily want to increase strength, PH may be less in line with your goals since it is focused more on muscle endurance. S&H is actually the most strength-oriented series, but it's also a very different style of training that is designed to be done for only a few weeks at a time, so that's why I would recommend PS or MIS first.

Of the two, PS is probably more strength focused -- slower rep speeds, heavier weights, and longer rest breaks -- but MIS is still basically strength-oriented and is a good choice if you prefer a total body workout over a split. (You can easily split it up, though, and do lower body one day and upper the next.)
