Suggestion for new DVD

I wonder if anyone else feels the same way I do. One thing I am wishing for is one or two one-hour total upper-body strength workouts.

I have an hour in the mornings to work out and I am 43 years old. I don't know if my age has anything to do with it, but I enjoy doing all cardio for an hour or all strength, so I alternate.

I have Leaner Legs and PS Strong Legs and Abs.
I know I can use PS BBA and CST, or part of MIS, or parts of PH. I have all those too. But, what I really would like is a stand-alone 1 hour upper body strength tape to pair (alternate) with either one of those.

Another workout like Rhythmic Step would be so fine too, but let's just focus on my chief wish here! Anyone else want the same thing I want?

Hi, Connie! I think everyone's wish list for new Cathe productions is about a mile long, and a stand-alone upper-body workout would be great too! I'd also love to have a 2-DVD set for abs, one containing ALL of Cathe's previously-produced ab segments and the other containing ALL NEW MATERIAL. Greedy, aren't I?

You didn't mention it in your opening post, but do you have the CTX DVD? It has a mix-and-match feature that you could use to create a stand-alone upper-body workout just by selecting the strength training segments from all 5 of the other workouts aside from Leaner Legs. Also, if you don't have Body Max you may want to consider that one, because it too has a comprehensive upper-body segment as well.

Of course, that shouldn't keep any of us from lobbying for new stuff!

CTX

Actually the upper body segments are already combined for you in the CTX DVD set. It's one of the bonuses. There is also a section with all of the ab work combined for you.

RE: CTX

If those body parts take 1/2 hour each standing alone does the combined one make an incredibly long upper body workout then? Just wondering. Which tapes has the real good ab portions? I dont want planks!

RE: CTX

Yes, I have the CTX DVD! I will check it out and see how close it is to one hour in length. It would be nice to have an all-upper-body PowerHour-type DVD. Slower and Heavier than PowerHour but exactly one hour.

Yes, I have BodyMax too and love the upper body section. I would like something (as a pear shape myself) more mass-building than endurance-oriented, like Pure Strength, for just upper body, in one hour. I am pretty satisfied though, owning all of Cathe's DVD's except Cardio Hits!

RE: CTX clocks in at...

The CTX upper body work is 57 min. long. I did it all at once one day and thought I was gonna die. I guess I like shorter, split weight sets. But a one hour of strength training might be less grueling than one hour of endurance weight training. I would personally love to see a cardio DVD with 3 different workouts on it (1 interval, 1 kickbox, 1 hi/lo) and a mix and match sections so that you can do each video as is or create your own. This would help with time constraints, boredom busting, overtraining certain muscle groups, etc. But like I have said before, anything Cathe makes will be a hit with me!

I just got the CTX DVDs...

The upper body portion on the 2nd DVD clocks in at 59 minutes long, but I do add a warm up / cool down to it as well. I just started doing it this past week and I love it!!! Also, if you do the entire upper body of Pure Strength, it clocks in at 64 minutes (including the low back/abs portion from BBA) with no warm up or cool down. I haven't done that yet, but plan to do so very soon!

LAST EDITED ON May-24-02 AT 03:39PM (Est)[p]Thanks, Gibbee, for clocking the CTX and PS upper body sections. Is there a quick way to check, on a DVD, how many minutes or how long a particular chapter is?
