Suggested Step Height

I am 5 ft. 2 and over the years have gone from 2 risers to 1 riser to no risers. My step is now flat on the floor and my knees feel fine--thankfully. As I got older I just didn't have the endurance for the higher step and found myself modifying so with the lower step I can do the whole workout with a maybe lower impact.

I'm 5'3" & I went from 2 risers to one when I discovered the difference in cals burned was insignificant, but the difference in how my knees felt was uber significant. :)

But I still use 2 risers for Low Max.

Exactly how I feel, but I'm 5'6" with short legs. :0

Low max and LIC, also.

Hi Lisa

I'm 53 and 5'7 1/2"". Until recently I did everything with an 8" step. Lately my knees don't like that idea much. I've done quite a few workouts in the last few weeks on a 6" step and I'm getting every bit as good of a workout as I did before and like some of the other ladies have said, you can concentrate better on the workout if you're not so worried about missing the step. Hope this helped you. Take care.
