substituting stability ball exercises

In Cathe's Intensity Series she shows a modifier not using a ball. Do yous think these modifications could be used in any Cathe workouts that use the stability ball; like Butts and Guts, Gym Style Legs and so forth. I think the only workout that couldn't be done is Push and Pull, just wanted to get others input and maybe people that do modify. Thanks!

I think in GS and some of B&G floor work there are exercises that you pretty much need the ball for. There are some you could modify, but others I don't think so. But then again, I am not that creative, so others may have better ideas:) I really recommend a stability ball if you can get one. It works things in a special way ;)

I don't recall the modifications, but I think you should buy the ball. It's a staple piece of equipment.

I think you "could" do non ball modifications but the SB is such a great way to add balance challenges to your workouts... They arent too terribly expensive (relatively speaking) so I agree with others...bite the bullet...get that foot ready to pump it up and go for it! PLUS.....It provides a wonderful back/spine stretch when you just lay tummy side down and hang.....PLUS if you use it sitting at your home computer or watching TV its all so good for posture & extra core work;)

See? Ya GOTTA have one! lol:D

I have 2 in the closet deflated :D It's more about space being limited and having and having so much out at once. The Intensity Series showed modifications, so I was wondering if anyone still did this with the newer workouts. Relooking at B&G, some exercises do look like you need a stability ball though.
