I'm not Cathe, but I'll give you my opinion. I also thought I could just do meso 3 first, but I'm glad I didn't. I would not have gained the strength I did, and I would not have been able to go as heavy in meso 3 going right to it. Meso 1 and 2 was like building blocks and meso 3 the climax, which you really don't see it going along, it just happens. That is the way it was designed. If you start with 1 then 2, you will be surprised at how heavy you will be able to go by 3. I wanted to try it all quicker, so I did the 3 month rotation, but I might do the 6 month the next time around. - autumn
