STS results question

Cathlete
So i have read the response in the other forum about STS results. All of them are positive and it seems like everyone is getting great results. So i wanted to know if anyone is unhappy with their STS results (gained weight, added bulk, etc.) and found that you do better with more edurance workouts. I know that everyone is different and not one program works for everyone so i would imagine that not everyone is going to like the results they got from STS.

I didn't weigh (because I never do) or measure before I started STS. I do know my clothes fit better and that I made significant strength gains. The surprise tho was that I gained cardio endurance which I had been losing and had written off as just the downside of getting older. That was an added bonus for me. I really don't have any negatives regarding STS. I thought it was an amazing program.

I didn't weigh during the 16 weeks. I had doms every week and that effects my scale weight. I wanted to trust the program and not the scale. I lost inches and my overall tone improved greatly. It took my fitness level up a couple of pegs. My endurance has increased a lot too. I feel like Wonder
Woman:D:D I know that sounds silly, but I feel so good!
I can't wait to do the program again. I'm taking a short break. I'm hoping Insanity comes out so I can do that for my STS break.

I too noticed the improvement in my cardio endurance I can do her tough 60-90 cardio workouts without dieing!!

Between this and the other STS thread, I'm now REALLY tempted to order STS (damn, wish I hadn't cancelled my pre-order). I'm so easy to convince LOL!

It is by far the best workout program I've purchased. I love Tony Horton/ P90X and STS beats it by a mile. The program will give you fitness gains if you trust it. It's not an over night fix. You will need to put in the time. It is a solid program that will increase your fitness level.

I wanted to add...
I forgot to mention, but most improved body part is my booty:cool: ,hamstrings too!

Ooh Cynthia, that is good to hear, because I have a pancake for a booty and want to get that more well-developed (running helps, but only so much LOL).

I just pulled the trigger, you guys! Ack! Nervous and excited at the same time. I will have to get 20lb weights soon, because the heaviest I have are 15lbs. I'll probably need to get additional plates for my barbell, too.

Man, I really should have kept my pre-order from long ago LOL.

I had originally preordered, too, and cancelled because I wasn't sure if STS was where I was looking to "go" next. Then when everyone started raving about their results, I caved.

STS is the best workout series I have ever done. First of all, I'm doing the 6-month rotation and have stuck with it now for 10 weeks. That, in and of itself, is a miracle for me. There is no boredom factor, no dreaded repetition from doing the same exact workout for weeks on end.

I haven't done much cardio (just don't have the extra energy it seems) but have done a lot of stretching/abs/yoga, and have had fantastic results. My legs are looking the BEST they ever have, and I have done Cathe workouts for years!!!

You cannot go wrong - it's worth every penny and then some!!!;)

Can you hear me Caving?

I know I'm going to cave. I didn't preorder because it didn't sound like the direction I wanted to go. These posts are killing me!!!!! I'm soooo sorry I didn't preorder.

I'm doing CLX right now to prep for P90X in the fall. Which would lead in quite nicely to . . . STS for Christmas?!?

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells. . . . . .

Or fall when Cathe releases STS cardio(insert evil grin). Sorry, couldn't resist:p Sounds like a good plan to me;)
Tell me you pre-ordered the cardio! You can't hang out on this forum without experiencing some major league enabling:D:D Just give in now.

I considered canceling my STS pre-order. The clips were kind of scaring me. I remember thinking- this hardcore lifting is not my style. I'm a high rep/low weight kind of gal. My husband convinced me to keep my order. He thought it would end up costing him more after all the reviews came out. He was right! LOL
FWIW, STS is worth double the cost IMO. This program will stand the test of time. I can't wait to see how my body changes over the next year. I have a goal to be fitter at the age of 50 than I was when I was 18.

well, i tried making this a negative thread which would have detoured you from ordering but i guess cathe has done it again and made a phenominal program I have all the meso cycles but have not committed yet to a 3 or 6 month rotation b/c i do honesty have fear of bulking. How many cals are you guys eating on STS?

I love sts. I am doing the 6 monthe rotation and I just fininshed week 2 m2 for the secontime. I have lost 1 pound. I am however much stronger than I wasa before I started. For example in m1 I was curing 8 pounds for biceps now I am doing 14!!! I am not bulking up but my muscles are getting more sculpted for sure. I have 15%BF SO THE RESULTS ARE noticeable quickly. I have major shoulder issues and this program allows me to work arround them and customize the workout to accomondate my shoulders, yet still make incredible gains. I also preoreded the sts cardio.

thanks for the links. i liked cathe's explanation about the weight gain. i need to just suck it up and push myself. right now i'm watching meso 3 week 1 plyo legs which i hope to do tomorrow for the first time:) Did you ladies increase you cals when doing STS or did you keep yourself in a deficit?

Kariev,

I ate in a deficit for most of the 16 weeks. I limited my starchy carbs to one serving of oatmeal post workout, the rest of my carbs came from veggies and fruit. I also ate nuts, olive oil, and 6 grams of fish oil caps for fat. I just weighed myself(curious) and I am down 13lbs from my winter weight:eek::D

You can lose weight with STS. It really is all about diet!!! I really noticed a lift in my glutes and some of the good dimples on the side:D Must have been all the deadlifts and paper plate exercises!

I loved it !!!!

I don't think you are going to heard anything negative about STS. I just finish yesterday the 3 1/2 months rotation and I loved it, I will wait till next week to weight my self, I don't think I loose weight, but I gain muscle on my chest and my legs and my glutes.
I gain so much resistance, exa, yesterday after doing my last workout shoulders, biceps & triceps, I went to the gym and did treadmill for 64min.Intervals of 15% incline and 3.8 walking, and 8.5% incline and 5.3 jogging, that was hard, I started with 35 min but then I felt like is not enough and I keep going longer and longer...
I'm doing one week off and after that I want to do Jun. rotation looks like fun and I will still using sts dvd's.
I can't wait for sts cardio and do it all over again....

I love the program! Actually I have found that Meso 1 at least (done on the 6 month plan) has increased my endurance and my ability to handle high intensity interval training. I hadn't done any interval training in about a month, and was able to pick up CardioCoach at a higher level of resistance, and needed to use a slightly higher HR for each of my categories (green, blue, orange, red). That was during a week when I was feeling very tired from lots of travel and time zone changes :)
