Boo....it's me again :D So what is on today's plate for a recovery week workout? I am doing my Silver Sneakers class with my my spry seniors. We are going to move and groove today :D

Hi Everyone!

Cathe , have fun with your class. :)

I did Janis Saffell's Tai Chi . A combo of tai chi & kickboxing.
Really good balance workout & felt it in my core .

It's sunny and going up to 70 degrees, so I'll be out later for a walk.

Have a great day! :)

Becky

Hello Cathe & fellow STSers! I went for a nice, short morning run today. (I was squeezing it in between my boot camp class and taking my son and myself to work/school.) I took a different route than usual and ended up doing a lot of hills but it was definitely a challenging workout. Tomorrow morning is my catch up on sleep day. YAY!

Not much going on today. Just out and about enjoying the glorious spring weather we're having before the temps drop and we get snow tonight and tomorrow ;).

I have been tired this week and haven't really done all that much. And I DON'T feel guilty. Today I went for a fast 4 mile walk and that felt great. Cathe--ever think of filming your Silver Sneaker class. I am afraid I may fit into that age group!

Thursday

What a beautiful day we are having here in the south. 84 and sunny! It's about time! Well, yesterday I did absolutely nothing exercise-wise. I did rearrange the living room since we got our new furniture, and I did watch back to back hockey games. That can be pretty physical ;) That reminds me, another game just started, must be quick here. I just finished Cardio Fusion's Mixed Cardio premix and I am dripping with sweat. I have been really loving the drill-type and kickbox lately! Can't wait for the STS Cardio MMA. Hope everyone has a great evening! :D

Good Afternoon Cathe and fellow STS Fitness Warriors;)

Today's workout:

Cardio Coach Vol. 4 my short mix= 22 min
Calories burned=270
Distance= 1.5 miles
Wup=(4:49)BPM= 112-129- 60% to 73% MHR
Challenge 1=(8:14)BPM on sprints=137,142,145=77%,79%,81% MHR
Cool Down= (3:09) 125 BPM= 69% MHR.
Stretch=(6:17)

4DS-HIS-Premix- LIS cardio only & stretch= 37 min
Calories burned= 328

Jillian Michaels Lose Weight iFit card Level1 Prgrm #2 wk#3
20 min power walk not so fast but made intense by using TM incline. speed never went past 3.5 MPH, but incline went from 0 to 8. Phew!
Calories burned in 20 power walk= 191
Distance= 1.08 miles
BPM range= 112-126 and a little at 129.

STS-Ab Circuits- No equipment Abs= 17 min. Wow! those will definitely be giving me the gift of DOMS. No equipment abs does not mean not really effective, those work the abs hard!!!

That's it for my workout today!;)

Seeya at tomorrow's checkin.;)

What a bunch of variety everyone here is doing! I love the mental break of a recovery week more than anything else. But I'm already itching to get going with the weights again.

This afternoon I did Amy Bento's Advanced Step Challenge 3. I've finally managed to nail 99% of the choreography in that one. Whew! I fried a few brain cells doing that! But I got a great sweat going, and had a blast. I'd forgotten that the entire workout, from warm up to the end of the very loooong stretching session was 90mins! Supper got on the table a little late....

Have a great evening,
Sandra

Silver Sneakers? Mine are silver! lol I vote for a film of that too ;)

Today was the Firm Cardio Dance Fusion. Last day of active recovery for me. I just printed my M3-Wk1 cards. Tomorrow is Chest-Back. I love the push-pull type. I'm READY!! :cool:

Off today

I took that day off. I worked out to Body Max too (no blasts or weights though) for Day 3 and my calves are SORE. Day 5 plan is walking intervals at the gym and then go home and do Yoga abs.
