Cathlete
So help me out here....how much weight does Cathe have on her barbell for those deadlifts. I can't tell if those plates are ten puonds each or 20. Any clues?

Thanks Karen

That hurts my back just looking at it. Last time I did something that heavy I pulled something in my lower back but didn't realize it until a couple of hours later. I could hardly sit or sleep for two weeks. Strange though up until that point it was nothing to do deadlifts with 70 or 80 lbs. I had been doing them for several years without much thought. Now i'm content keeping it around 50 or 60 lbs and it's still effective for me anyway.

I have learned that I cannot--and should not--keep up with Cathe's weight limits. I like to have in front of me the weight she is lifting as a benchmark (someone provided an excellent excel document with her weights on various workouts). Then I adjust to what works for me (and keep track to see if I can increase over time), which is less weight for most exercises. If I tried to keep up with Cathe my form would be off and I would die. :)

Have a great day!
