STS MESO 3?

I have only 3 weeks left of STS 6 month rotation. I'm enjoying Meso 3 especially Pylo Legs. But even though I'm going as heavy as I can, I haven't had any DOMS. I notice I am alot stronger, I probably could go heavier with the chest presses if I had the power tower to rest the barbell on. It is very hard to lift over a certain amount when lifting it up and it uses alot of shoulder. I was just wondering what everyone else's experience is with Meso 3? Thanks, Lori

I have DOMS in the chest and triceps, but not in the biceps or back so much. That seems to be standard for me though.

I'm doing Squat Rack Legs as well as Plyo, and my behind is fried!

I did not experience DOMS quite the same as I did in Meso 1 and 2. I think I had minor DOMS the first week, but then the rest of Meso 3 I was questioning whether or not I was working hard enough solely based on the fact that I wasn't sore from head to toe. If I remember correctly, there were posts about this many moons ago and lots of people had the same experience. Don't worry, you're still working! You're still gaining strength!

Was sore!

I have been through STS once (and just finished Meso 2 today -- for the second time). I had a good deal of soreness in some areas -- especially legs. However, I did both Plyo Legs and Squat rack legs each week, and also have a stand for my barbell so I could go very heavy with the weight.

If you feel that you're gaining strength, then you're probably fine. I think that each Mesocycle causes its own particular brand of soreness!

Word of advice? BE CAREFUL with lifting a heavy barbell for chest presses. Let me have made that mistake for you - I too, am waiting for the tower but on Meso 2 decided to go ahead and hoist the 60 lb BB up (like a seated clean and jerk) to do chest presses. Well..........ANOTHER shoulder injury on the shoulder I had surgery on last October. Thankfully, it is just a severely strained and enflamed tendon but I'm back at physical therapy and am allowed only limited upper body exercises (bis, tris and bent over rows).... I wish I had been smart and substituted dumbbells for the bench presses:( I know this doesn't answer your question (which I can't do cuz I never made it to Meso 3:(:(:() but I wanted to let you know my experience so that you don't hurt yourself!

DOMS and Meso 3

I had Major DOMS with Plyo Legs. I had to go lighter with the weights and I barely hung on to finish the whole thing, but M A N!!! I was hurting! I had chest soreness and tricep soreness with Meso 3 as well. I L O V E this Meso! I never lift more than what I can pump on my own to complete the reps and not get hurt. But, man, do I get a workout.

Hey Lori! Congrats on finishing STS soon!
My M3 experience- muscle fatigue- heck overall fatigue;) for 4 weeks...Hungrier than I have ever been.... But my true lasting DOMS came in M1 Legs & M2 (all the parts) I think its more what your body was accustomed to lifting before STS. I never did endurance (M1) so I wasnt surprised but M3 DOMS did surprise me a tad as thats my lifting style. I always have DOMS in chest- regardless of Meso!

Its all good- as long as you are lifting as high as you can with good form and safety in M3 I think its all good! Have a great & strong finish! Its a blast doing M3 isnt it?

Thank You for the heads up. I did use the barbell in Meso 2 but in Meso 3 found I couldnt do it without hurting myself and have chosen dumbells instead. I'm justed bummed because I could of went heavier if I had the tower. Lori

The tower will be here SOON! And I hope that I am healed in time to start STS over (and FINALLY finish it - I have YET to get to Meso 3 and I've started it twice).
