Thanks for posting!

I know what you mean about planning. I have a tentative rotation that takes me through April. I have some days with STS2.0 scheduled, however by May I'll probably be ready to do something like this. Cathe may provide more rotations using LMR before then, so everything is tentative. So many workouts ...:)

This might be insane, but I've officially got my calendar filled through mid-August now with rotations.

I'm currently on the 8-week LMR "Beginner" rotation. Once that's through, I'm going to do the above STS 2.0/LMR rotation.

After that I decided I wanted to give the XTrain series some love again, so I'm doing a slightly modified version of her 3-month rotation with that (I edited it a bit to make it not quite so repetitive - like I swapped out some of the Hardstrikes workouts with other various kickboxing workouts, some of her Cardio Leg Blast and Legs workouts with other lower body workouts, etc, but I'd say a good 70-80% of the workouts throughout are XTrain.)

Probably after that, I'm going to do a pure STS 2.0 3-month rotation again. I figure if Cathe has any new series cooking, they won't be available until late in the year again anyhow, so I'll be safe plotting my workouts out that far.

Oh - and I have a couple rest weeks that pop up through this time-frame and I decided to throw in the LMR Pilates, Mobility, and Yoga workouts during those rest weeks.

Might give this STS 2 and LMR Rotation a go in the spring/summer. I need to keep cardio in my plans, and typically add on 30 minutes after STS body parts. LMR has less calorie burn and so I will add short cardio routines after it as well. I keep stretching and yoga days for recovery, no cardio or STS active recovery at most. So far, that has enabled me to remain at my present weight. It's not as easy as it used to be.

Wow! I have never gone beyond a month!

I do this with the 90-day undulating Xtrain rotation too. I keep the UB workouts as is and really notice improvements! However, Hardstrikes is one of my less favorite kickbox routine with all the round-the-block jumping jacks so I swap out some for my enjoyable ones. I also swap out LB workouts now and then. And I may swap in other LI HiIts for AOLIH. Such a fun rotation! And I love the bonus Rear Delt and 100 Rep Challenges. Hmmmm, I may have to slip in an Xtrain rotation this year.:)

I love having a plan, or rather multiple plans at the ready. My 1st 90 day rotation was the original STS - I felt so accomplished! Then XTrain 's 90 day - love that one (with substitions). I often plan months in advance, but will also allow changing things up. Someone here (or maybe on VF) did a Cathe through the decades rotation - so I set one up too, going through all the older workouts one Spring - each week was a different series or set of independents - that was fun too. I take ideas from Cathe's series rotations as well as her Monthly rotations. Planning can be as much fun as doing :).

When Cathe had one of her recent big sales, I bought a bunch of the older workouts. I got a lot of VHS replacements, but also a lot of older ones I didn't have. I need to start trying them.

I once did a full 12-month rotation of all Cathe workouts, never repeating a single workout (except stretches). And I *still* didn't get through them all! It was a lot of fun.

I am with you - I like having a long term plan and the shortest rotation I have ever had on the ready is 12 weeks. But I usually do 180 day rotations. The shorter 12 week rotations are usually for when I am waiting for Cathe's next series to drop.

I purchased her Perfect30 series during her Columbus day sale, and there's a P30 XTrain rotation I have planned for next month. Right now I'm doing a high reps rotation, having done a lot of heavy weights for several months. I bought a high reps Live and it's a toughie. I likely will do the STS2-LMR during the summer when I'm busy with swimming etc, and need less cardio.
I once planned a six month rotation, but life interrupted it. So now I only pencil in rotations.

I try to plan out my rotations based on how I may be progressing physically. If something gets in the way, though, I'll adapt. (I don't get too worked up if I have to change plans, unless its because of an injury, then I get kinda peeved at first, but just go with the flow after the initial irritation. I had to do that a couple times last year with a pinched nerve in my back, then this irritating tennis elbow.)

It was fun to build/schedule these upcoming rotations, though--imagining where I'll be physically after I complete this LMR rotation, then the STS 2.0/LMR rotation. It's kind of a slow amp-up to getting to a place where I can jump back into the XTrain rotation given its faster pacing (compared to STS 2.0) and emphasis on HiiT cardio.

(Yeah, I dislike all those jacks in Hardstrikes, too - but man, oh man did all those jacks improve my cardio capabilities! Still, I'm replacing some of those days with other kickboxing workouts like Gloved Up and Sweaty, Rockout Knockout, Kick Punch and Crunch, etc.)

I like that idea of going through a series a month or a week, too. So many options!
