STS DEAL OF THE DAY!!!!!

Nancy all 3 of us have admitted we got a lil cocky from doin STS!!! She sure does put us in our place tho doesn't she ;) I look forward to doin Gym Styles in my rotation. Good luck with B&G!

I think I would rather overestimate my weights now cuz in the past I know I probably went lighter than I should have been lifting. Reaching failure before my reps are done is gotta be better than not working hard enough I would think. Isn't it cool tho to be lifting heavier now on these DVDs?!

I took today off. Needed it mentally I think more than physically. But today was my optional upper body w/o which I will still hit upper with my 2 circuits. Also, Hiit was on tap, but again, that was optional too for me depending on how I felt and today was just one of those days I woke up saying I need a day off! I promised Natasha I would listen to my body :D Yesterday in addition to my run and lower body weights I did a couple of hours of yard work with my Dad could be why I was tired today.

Tmrw is my easy run and Pyramid Lower Body Down Only premix.

Have a good one!! TGIF

The Gym Styles Odessey continues......GS Chest & Triceps YOWZA!!!!! My pecs were dancing all night after my workout! I forgot how grueling that chest section is! I took it down to the knees on the pyramid down push-ups after the set of 14 reps ....
Then, I tried using 20# for the presses and flys and ended up dropping down to 17#! The reps were many, the reps were fast, the rest periods non-existant! I think that's what really did me in was the VERY brief rest interval (about 10 sec!).
The tricep section was another lesson in humility :p.
Then I moved on to High Reps shoulders & biceps as an add-on and it was SO WEIRD to do light weight/high rep exercises ! It took some finangling before I got the weight right! This method of mixing the heavy and the light, and the fast and the slow, and the many and the few, has got to be really challenging to my muscles! I feel wiped out after my workout (especially with the Gym Styles DVDs)! I LOVE IT!!!!
Needless to say, I did not have the strength to do pull ups/chin ups on my Tower "just for fun".....(yeah, I dream big during the day....:p!).

Tonight is Afterburn. Enough said. This is why I put an upper body w/o between lower body and cardio this week. There will be struggle. There will be discomfort. There will be fat cells begging for mercy before their demise!
Tomorrow will be the return of Gym Styles with Back & Bis.
Stay strong my friends !

Natasha how is your rotation going? I look forward to putting some TB workouts in my next rotation. I really like doing them for some reason.

Nancy I'm telling ya she continues to KICK OUR BUTTS!! It's great tho that you are feeling your muscles talking...isn't that the goal for you to get more upper body definition?! Sounds like you are on your way thru your sweat, tears, and possible cursin? ;) Awesome job!!

Today I decided to switch around and do my circuit w/o instead d/t my time crunch. I did Cardio & Weights. I love that one. The step is fun and fast. I enjoy the music. And the weights are challenging for me. Today was the FIRST TIME I totally matched her weights and did ALL reps!! Trust me, my muscles were burning!! It felt soooo good! another disc STS has helped me to improve on :D Big diffences I noticed were in my biceps she always outlifted me! Triceps also a big difference. And my back, I finally understand how to lift properly after STS and I feel a huge difference now when doing so!! My endurance has also improved b/c by the fourth round I'm usually toast in energy, but I had pep to finish it out strong while enjoying it. Im glad I took a rest day yesterday too.

Ok guys. Have a great workout! I have to prep for a phone interview I have in an hour.

Gina

Hello everyone :)

It's been really difficult for me to keep this 3rd check-in :(. I have very good intentions of posting everyday, as I want to respond thoroughly to everyone, but my Summer days have been very busy. Gotta take advantage of the nice weather while it lasts .

My rotation is going well. I did PUB Tues (HOLY DOMS), STS Plyo Legs W3 Wed (I totally rocked the heck out of it, if I do say so myself :D) and today was my cardio day with Step Blast (super sweaty fun). Tomorrow I am going to visit the in-laws in Hamilton, which is about 1.5hr drive from my city, so no workout :(. Sunday will be Muscle Max .

Nancy, Gina, Justina & Dawn
Have a super wonderful weekend! I will write personals tomorrow or Sunday. Keep rockin' those workouts! You guys are doing AMAZING! (I did read all the posts, but cannot respond right now :()

Bye bye for now!

Happy Saturday!! Although today was like fall in the 60s this am gardening. It was a nice change, but Im not ready for it to stay.

Nancy how did B&G go? That was today right? I love firewalkers as Natasha does and she has those in that w/o :)

I woke up late this am and didn't get my run in. Im the type that if I don't do cardio in the morning, I don't get it in and that's what happened today. Im lucky I did my lower body w/o which I just finished.

Pyramid Lower Body premix Down Only. I loved doing the plie squats for some reason. I matched her weights which honestly felt a lil light, but I was breathin & sweatin pretty good! Fast weight changes. Soo, I thought to myself, "this is pretty easy!!" Yeah, right! Can you believe the stabily ball moves did me in?! Why are those sooo hard for me?! The hamstring moves I couldn't do all of them. the inner thighs were good, but the outer thighs had me crying mercy!! Cathe brings me to my knees again  literally. LOL

Alrighty guys gotta run. Hope Justina's long working days are over and Dawn is having a great vacation. Natasha check in when you can I understand time constraints just know we miss ya!

Hi everyone! Hope you're all doing well. I took the girls shopping for back to school; it's tax free weekend in Georgia. Man, am I exhausted.

Gina, Natasha, I think you're both right about my wrist. It had to be the way I use the barbell; keeping my wrist straight. The pain is disappearing though. I have to really pay attention to my form from now on. I cannot afford injury as I'm on a routine and a schedule. :D

Do you think I will be more challenged with the Tower vs. band? In the posts many of you are using it. Where do you suggest I get one? I'm on M2 and already noticing changes. Very exciting!

Gina, you're right about finding the right fit for a job. I've been in my field for about 13 years, and my current job fits me the best. Stay positive. :)

Nancy, Natasha, Gina, you're warriors! Even after STS is done you're all still rocking the workouts; make up your own rotations and continue to work hard. I can see that fitness is a lifestyle for all of you. For me, I have to get in a program to stay on track. :D

Next week is going to be a challenge. I have meetings all day and all week; plus two nights working late. It will affect my energy level for sure. Just thinking about sitting in that chair in the conference room all day makes me cringe. Since I will be in a meeting with people outside of the company, I won't bring the stability ball until day two. :D

Have a good weekend!

Justina

Butts & Guts, where have you been for most of my life! I love you!
All I can say is WOW!!! I did the smart thing and matched the weights Cathe & crew were using and was totally challenged! It was my first time doing the legs portion and I know I'll be feeling it tomorrow! Even though the moves were familiar and I have done most of them (or variations of them) before, I found the sequencing grueling: those one legged squats became very "stinging" in that last set! And with just a 5# weight! This will be a go-to workout for sure....I only have it once in my rotation, I may re-think that!
Tomorrow will be GS Back, Shoulders, & Bis, adding on High Reps Triceps and Abs. I thnk I got confused in my last post about which workout I'd be doing; understandable with all the choices we have!
Natasha, I love Step Blast! The moves blend together so nicely in the end, don't you think? I ususally follow it up with the ab portion from Step, Jump, & Pump...I love the music from both! I still think that it's Cathe singing, even though the folks at Cathe.com say it isn't. I think she'd have a great singing voice!
Gina, you make me wish I had Pyramid (yeah, like I need more choices!)! Sounds like you're enjoying those workouts; nice hidden gems in your collection, ey? I know what you mean about those surprising moves that do you in! I really see the value in mixing up my routines so that I'm always improving endurance as well as strength and the coveted hypertrophy! I think we're going to love the new XTRAIN series for that reason alone! Now that I'm revisiting some of my ignored DVDs I am wishing I had more opportunities to do them all the time with my newer ones! I haven't done High Reps, STS Total Body, or Gym Styles in a WHOLE YEAR!!! So, I'm really experiencing new levels of "ouchie" all over again!
Justina, I'm glad your wrists are getting better! Remember what Cathe tells us: Form is Everything! You can do a lot of damage if your don't watch it! Good form leads to better results. It is pretty exciting when you start to see those physical changes, isn't it? Quite motivating! Hopefully that motivation will get you through next week. I wish I was independently wealthy so that I could workout at my leisure and not have time commitments! My best time for working out is around 10am. That only fits my schedule once in a while. I'm in awe of anyone that can work out in the early morning (like Gina!). I used to do that back in my 30s, but now I need to wait for my body to wake up and get all my parts working for a while first!
Well, this turned into a longer post than I expected! I'm usually not up at this hour but for some reason I have a bit of energy! Have a great Sunday ladies!

Justina
I'm glad to hear about your wrist pain going away :).
As far as the Turbo Tower vs the band, yes pull-ups/chin ups are more of a challenge w/the tower, but you still get an excellent workout with the band so don't disregard it. Cathe is coming out with a newly redesigned TT, and I have a feeling it will have a squat rack feature. I would def pick one up! A wise investment ;).
Back to School shopping looks very exhausting . I can't wait for that .
Oh and congrats on noticing changes in M2! I knew you would :D. Where are you noticing the most changes?
I hope you have a good week, despite the meetings and working late :).

Gina
I completely understand about you doing whatever you possibly can to lose 20lbs (and I AM confident you won't go into over-training). Like I said, the only person who knows your body best, IS YOU. There is never a one-size-fits-all when it comes to heath/fitness. Positive vibes {{{}}} and encouragement, from me to you :).
I'm also sending you lots of positive vibes in finding a job. There is a lady at one of my other check-in's who has been going through it for 1 year :(. I know the right one will come along, and you'll get it :). Perhaps you should put Completed 3 1/2 Month Rotation of STS on your resume ;)
I'm glad to see you are still enjoying gardening with your father. I think that's absolutely wonderful :).
Enjoy eating the humble pie :p. Cocky? Me? Did I give off that impression? ;). Just because I was crying and begging for mercy in PUB?

Nancy
I see you are like me in enjoying all the non-STS workouts you've missed :D. See, that's why I could not continue to Pyramid-Down w/STS, because all my other Cathe's were teasing and taunting me to use them again :D.
YOU GYM STYLE ENABLER!!! :D. Why? Why so much love for it? I see it has a huge cult following along with B&G. You guys are killing me here!!
Cathe singing in Step Blast? Really? That never even crossed my mind. Yes, I think Cathe would have a wonderful singing voice too. Man, that woman is next to damn near perfect!
You are inspiring me to do abs more often. I admit to slacking off big time in that department. I am incorporating 1 day of Yoga during my week, so that should hit my abs at least one time .
I always *try* to match Cathe on weights, but it's mostly an epic fail. I can do ok w/legs, but bi's & tri's? Ha, ha, not even close.

Have a great Sunday ladies! You are all awesome

Hello ladies!
Hope everyone is doing well. My long week is just starting. :D But I feel okay right now. I woke up pretty early this morning even though I did not sleep well last night at all. I'm getting ready to do disc 19 tonight.
Nancy, you're right about form. Last night I did disc 18 and I found myself really paying attention to the barbell curls. I just kept my eyes on my wrists making sure they're straight. Cathe mentioned it in that DVD too. :) I feel the same way; I wish I could work out whenever I want. These days I can only do it after the kids settled down at night and it's usually about 8:30 or 9 pm. I'm up at 5 am for work the next day. I hear Powerball is up to $305M or so! I have a friend at work who leaves home at 4 am to work out at the gym at work. I just can't get up that early. When I don't get enough sleep I don't perform well at work or the workouts.
Natasha, I'm not seeing huge changes but I noticed that my arms are firmer and my legs have more definition. My middle is also slimmer now which was my trouble spot. I'm not where I want to be but I'm making progress. :D I want size for my upperbody. I want some guns! :p

Gina, how are things going with you?

Have a good night!
Justina

:DJustina glad to hear your wrist is feeling better! You can never underestimate proper form when it comes to targeting the muscle and preventing injury. After awhile of focusing on your form, it will become second nature in time. The tower would be more challenging, but you can make the band work harder too by doubling the band or increasing the band strength - don't underestimate that either. I believe Nancy used the bands.

I knew you would like B&G Nance!! I did the ab portion on Sunday & I've noticed improvement in my core cuz I made it through without stopping! Goin into the bicycle manuever usually was hard for me to do. Altho doing it after a leg w/o is a killer with the added ankle weights!
I am trying to get use of all of my DVDs before Xtrain gets released. I am having so much fun going thru them and it has to be confusing to my muscles as each w/o comes from a different one. I just match her weights (so far) and they have been challenging for me. Today I have chest DOMS from Push Pull upper body 2 sets w/o I did yesterday!
One thing I have noticed, before STS I would have quit or lowered my weights when I was struggling with them, but now I don't, I just keep pushing through and I finish the reps! STS has given me much needed mental strength as well :D

Natasha I think you heard my frustration comin out in that post. Im not sure what to do honestly. Id rather work out alot so I can eat! You hit a sore spot with calories cuz I know I have been eating waayyy too many lately and Im just dragging my heels on going back to calorie counting. You have me thinking though, maybe I do need to back off a lil which should help decrease my appetite and therefore I can lower my calories. I still don't think Im ready yet mentally to do that. Im struggling right now to maintain :( Just prob stress, but I need to learn how to work thru the stress and not eat! It is a life long issue that's for sure. Thank you for your support :) I admire you for releasing your extra pounds and I so get the vanity ones you want to lose! Nothing wrong with desiring that ;)
I've been doing ab work 3x/week. Two are just from misc. w/os, but then I try and do a harder one from either Ab Circuits or Coremax and since the beginning of this year I have noticed an increase in strength and endurance. I have learned to focus more on the muscles being worked and my lower abs have really improved from this. I love having a strong core and for us with our low back issues, it's gotta help in some way. So, get crunchin girl :p

Today I struggled with my run/walk intervals. Just wasn't into it, but I finished it. Yest I did the cardio portion of IMAX 3 instead of running. It was sooo much fun! I'm just really enjoying step again!
I also did the lower body split from ME and that is leg press mania. Thankfully so far my legs are holding up with all of these lower body w/os!

Ok guys, have a good night and continue to rock your workouts!

Gina

Good morning STS fit ladies

Yesterday's w/o was a nice 4mile walk w/Bella. I found a new park on our city's website and decided to check it out. Very nice. No one was there, and so that tempted me to *try* a few pull-ups on the monkey bars :D. I knocked out 2 full ones! It felt awesome to do that . In the evening, my "official" Cathe w/o was Hardcore Extreme hi/low intervals. After 50min of that and no a/c in my spare room (that's where I do my thang) I decided to call it quits before the Kickmax blasts section. I felt too icky, sweaty, and my legs just wanted to give up. I'm tempted to get Low Max :D. The few intervals I do in HCE really work my legs nicely. I think if I did that w/o 1X/week in addition to LB workouts, my legs would get toned super fast.

Oh and Sunday's w/o was Muscle Max . Cathe, I am not worthy . I must admit, I was not prepared and my weight selections were a bit off. I was trying to...round-up my #'s . Ya, I was shot down real quick and once again ate the humble pie. It had a bad aftertaste though  :D.

Justina
I'm sorry you have not been sleeping well. Sleeping has been an ongoing issue for me since my daughter turned 2 :(. She still wakes up sometimes at night, but luckily she goes back to sleep fast. It's me who has a hard time falling back asleep :(. Not getting enough sleep can negatively dictate your energy, eating, moods, performance, just about everything. {{{hugs}}}
Yay for a smaller middle! How wonderful :)
As for the arms, I think for the majority of women, it's very hard to obtain muscle definition with them. I also believe that the first round of STS is kinda trial/error. More like building new muscle memory. I think when you decide to do a 2nd round, your results will be even greater. Perhaps that's why Cathe recommends a 6.5 month rotation. Don't get discouraged, I'm sure you look amazing! And plus, you have made the time to do this programs in the midst of all your other priorities like raising 3 children and balancing a career. You should feel very accomplished :).

Gina
I totally understand the part of you not wanting to cut/count calories. It's a pain-in-the-a**! Especially for people who ultimately love food. I think weight loss in general is damn frustrating. I too was annoyed that it took me almost 2 years to lose all my pregnancy weight, but it is what it is. Weight loss does not come easily for me either :(. I read somewhere that pear-shapers have a harder time releasing fat/building muscle BUT we are healthier as the fat in the thighs/buttocks is not as dangerous as abdominal fat. So YAY for us! Just be patient, listen to your body, love yourself and keep doing what you're doing. I have confidence the pounds will come off for you! {{{here are my positive vibes}}}
I love Imax3! Step is my #1 love :)

Have a great day ladies!

Happy Tuesday STSers!!!
Today is my "rest day" so I'll be doing Yoga Relax....I am REALLY looking forward to it! This past week (week 2 of my "Nut Job Rotation") was eye opening: although I feel that STS has increased my strength, I've learned that if the reps are higher than 8 (as they are in STS M2 & in Gym Styles) I need to be a bit more conservative in my weight selections . In fact, I found myself lifting the same amount in Gym Styles as I had a year ago when I'd been doing it for 2 months. I'm also noticing some improvement in my torso (flatter tummy & my definition!) which I attribute to doing Afterburn, Athletic Training, Crossfire Extreme, and To The Max Extreme. Those are the hardest cardios for me and sticking to my plan feels like it's working! Last night was TTM Extreme and I just kept plugging away at it until the next thing I knew, I was on the floor doing the core portion. WHEW!
Next week will be back to STS M2 using Total Body Triceps Upper Body as add ons. So far, I'm liking this rotation a lot! In fact, I added on another week of the Gym Styles week to get me to September 11th. Then I think I might take a week long vacation and go hiking up in Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. I need a nature break ;)

Natasha, yes, I am a Gym Styles Enabler!!!! I was really shocked at how tough it was after STS!!! The breaks are SO SHORT!!! The focus on each muscle group is VERY PRECISE! Look for a daily deal...that's how I got mine and I DON'T REGRET IT!!! I think it is perfect for folks that want the challenge of heavier weightlifting but don't want to make the time commitment to an STS rotation. I have been enjoying mixing everything up for these past 2 weeks!

Gina, I know what you mean about getting a handle on the appetite! I have to cut back on the after dinner munchies to get things back in order. The thing that has been working for me is to remind myself how HARD I work out and how much HARDER I make it if I overeat. I get such inspiration from Cathe and crew and feel so motivated by each little improvement I see in myself. Then the hunger monster strikes and tortures me! I have eliminated all bad food choices from my house, but even over doing it on "healthy" nuts can be devastating. I'm thinking of getting back into crosstitch or sewing so that my hands will be busy and I won't want to eat because it gets your project all nasty!:p Do you do any knitting or crocheting?

Well, I'm going to sign off for now and get back to work! I hope everyone has a great workout today!!!
When will DAWN be back????

Hello ladies :)

I came back because I wanted to share this youtube link with you guys:

Why Are You Still Fat? (Daily Dose With Jillian Michaels) - YouTube

It's Jillian's The Daily Dose. I watched this not too long ago, and it discusses reducing caloric intake (what is a healthy # that won't ruin your metabolism) along with other VERY interesting points. I LOVE THIS SHOW! It rocks!

Here is another goodie about fat burning foods. I'm sipping Green Tea while I'm watching this :p. I might go out and buy a bottle of fish oil too...we'll see if I'm brave enough for that one .

Foods That Can Speed Up Your Metabolism (Daily Dose With Jillian Michaels) - YouTube

ENJOY!

Today I did Circuit Max. I haven't done that one for almost two years. It kicked my butt, but I stayed with it. Matching her 5 and 8# weights were very challenging! this one has hi/lo which Im not a real big fan of. Makes me think of the 80s w/os, but it was a nice change. I burned just under 500 calories! Then I did abs from Muscle Endurance.

Nancy, I am experiencing the same thing with my weights. I am struggling with increasing them as I am trying to match Cathe's  Today, I thought I may need to back off to where I was with them prior to STS as I am feeling burnt out from pushing sooo hard. So, don't feel bad. I know we gained strength, but you are right: more reps require lighter weights. My pushups are much better tho! I can go deeper and do more on my toes (not many, but at least Im up there!) And kuddos on your midsection improvements :D

No, I don't sew or anything like that. I know my problem is too much time on my hands right now. I'm not working, my girlfriend recently married and has less time for me, and Im currently not dating anyone right now. So, Im eating from boredom and for comfort mainly :( I need to get into some projects and distract myself!

Natasha I watched some of Jillian's videos thanks for the links!
Walking in parks is so nice...glad you have another option. And you did pullups?! Great job :D
Sounds like you are experiencing the same thing with trying to increase weights as Nance and I. We know we improved! Just do what you can do and we will lift heavier over time. I think I have the leg portion from Muscle Max on my schedule this week so I'll get to check it out!
Step is my all time fav cardio. I wish she would make some more solid step routines. I would scarf them up!!

Justina it is getting harder for me to do early cardio. I feel like I need more time to get going in the morning before doing so. Maybe my body is starting to require more time like Nancy's! So, don't feel bad. There is no way I'd get up at 4 to work out either!
Awesome that you are seeing progress in your body shape!! Keep up the good work. And I so admire that you are doing STS with job and kids! You rock!
I think we all need to get a Powerball ticket together and share in the winnings

Great job everyone!! Have a good night.

Gina

Today was my gardening day with Dad. Loving it :) Just a lil bit ago I did Lower Body Blast. I had only done that w/o I think once before. I like it! Nice change with different moves than just weights. It was a burner tho as usual with Cathe ;) I did all the reps except for those darn elevated lunges...they always get me!

As I type this I am on a Fitdesk trying it out. It is a stationary bike with a desk for your computer. It is just for extra activity nothing with much resistance for a hard cardio w/o. I sit so much for the day that I need more movement! So I couldn't resist b/c I had a coupon, they ship for free and they will pay for return shipping if I don't like it in 30 days. So far I've been on it for 30 minutes and you don't even realize the time goes by. Altho my butt is going to have to get used to this. How do cyclists ride for so long on such a small seat?!! I guess Im just continuing to kill my butt today ;)

Today my appetite was under better control. I didn't realize, but I was pmsing. That was a part of my being outta control! I also stayed busier today which helped me to keep my mind off of food. Ive been eating some good garden goodies today :D

Nancy Im not sure when Dawn will be back from vaca.

Hope everyone is doing good today and knocking out their workouts! It is time to give my butt a lil break ;)

Gina

Gina, the fit desk sounds neat! I have also seen versions where people are standing on a manual treadmill behind a high desk. The speed is VERY slow but it does the job in keeping the blood moving! I have a chime on my computer that goes off every 1/2 hour and I drink 4oz of water. I think I'll start walking up and down the hallway outside my laboratory after the drink (if I'm not in the middle of an experiment!).
Natasha, how is your back doing? Did it get better once you stopped M3? I had a lot of DOMS the day after GS Back & Bis in my lower lats that I attribute to the bent over dumbell rows (the move is like the underhand grip barbell rows from STS, except you use dumbells and have greater range of motion). I wanted to give you a heads up on that in case you decide to splurge and get Gym Styles ;)!

Last night was STS M2 Disc19: Chest, Shoulder, & Biceps; followed by LIS TBT Biceps & Abs as an add on. That was one long workout! The chest portion was quite challenging with the Double Wave Pyramiding technique and heavier weights. Tonight will be Crossfire Extreme, another long workout ! Has anyone else tried the "extreme" premixes for CF and TTM? They are great! Really get you huffin' and puffin'! The core work is really good, too!
So, that's it for now....I may check in a little later to see how everyone's doing! Have a great workout today ladies!

 I had a whole post written this morning and BAM, deleted! [insert lots of swear words here].

Ok, so my workouts these past few days have been:

Tues-TBL Weight Loss Yoga (my fav Yoga! I LOVE it dearly. And I'm very picky w/Yoga DVD's so that's sayin' a lot)

Wed- LBB standing leg portion + STS Legs D6 bonus leg drills. Total time 60min. I love those bonus leg sections in M1. So much so that if they were on downloads, I would string all 4 of them together in the w/o blender and make 1 big workout.

This evening will be- PUB

BTW guys, I always forget to "like" your posts because frankly we don't do it at my other check-in's and I'm not used to it. Just remember, I appreciate and "love" your posts, even if I don't check it off :).

Nancy
It's great you do Yoga 1X/week. I used to do it religiously 2X/week and now I'm regretting slacking off. Gotta be honest though (don't hate please) I'm not feeling Cathe's Yoga's. I'm not sure why, really . If she made a challenging Power Yoga, similar to the ones I already do/like, then I would be all up in that :D.
You know what, my back is acting up again . It's not so bad to the point that I can't function, but it is affecting me to the point that I have to lower my weight #'s so I don't aggravate it :(. My squats and lunges were super shallow in LBB, and I felt cheated. Better to be safe.
You are SO awesome for doing the extreme premixes! Not sure if I want any part of that...just yet ;). Perhaps in the winter as I become less active.

Gina
The Fitdesk sounds super cool . Good for you! I know what you mean about the crotch soreness . It will go away as that area becomes accustomed to the seat.
OMG the elevated lunges! Those are KILLER! A gal from my other check-in, can do them with 5lbs weights!!!! She is a nut
Yummy garden goodies :p. I'm jealous you can enjoy them :).
I wish Cathe would make more step w/o's too :(. I have a feeling she won't, as they seem to be going out-of-style lately.
The leg portion from MM is not too hard, although the step-ups got in my glute muscles very nicely :).

Ok, have a wonderful day ladies

I really enjoyed my run/walk today. For 5 minutes I rotated 20 secs of walking, 20 secs of jogging, then 20 secs of sprinting. I did 4 cycles like that with 2 minutes recovery walk in between each cycle. I finished with a slow 10 minute jog to get to my 3 mile goal today. Warm-up and cool-down is always additional milage I don't count. I do each for 5 mins. I was sweatin buckets by the end  Just when I was getting fatigued with a high heart rate from the cycle, the recovery walk was just what I needed to do the next one. And the time flew by thank goodness!

I hope to do CTX upper body later today. I did Coremax #3 after my run earlier. I was fearful going into it, but I ended up liking it. Im really loving my core strength. Now...to just get the layer of fat off :p which im still doing better with my appetite again today (Amen ;)). Im making sure to eat balanced meals every 3 hours and it just helps knowing Im going to eat soon!!

Natasha did you realize we both did LBB yest!! Neat. I like knowing someone else is with me burning out to the same w/o. It may help a lil with my pain ;) I can't remember the bonus sections from M1 for legs. I may have to check that out to do as an add-on. You love those add-ons girl

Oh, I always copy my text as I am typing from learning that lesson the hard way!! I hit both Control + A keys to highlight all of the text then both Control + S key to save it. I've had to use that a few times and saved my stuff!

I haven't really gotten into Yoga, but have been wanting to try more of it. I've only done the relax one by Cathe, but I haven't been tempted to try yoga max b/c of not really lovin the relax one. I'll have to search for the TBL (?) yoga one you did. any other ones you recommend? Ooh, and I have Leslie's 5 Really Big Miles on the way after hearing you enjoy that one.

I wish I could give you some of our garden goodies. Green beans are just producting like crazy...Im eating them every day and Im up to 3 different versions to make them. I need more recipes tho!! The tomatoes are red and immensely juicy and I eat 1-2 a day! Mom's been jarring quarts of tomatoes to use for sauce in the winter. the potatoes are so soft they melt in your mouth and I love eating fried pepper sandwiches!

We finally got some lettuce growing. Groundhogs ate our first few plantings, but Dad and I built wired cages to go over the lettuce crop. I have mustard greens to wash and do something with. My swiss chard is growing (they also ate that first planting too ) and Im waiting for the beets. Oh, and we have 2 pumpkins growing. It is really cool to see the plants grow and produce food. It is really fulfilling as well as the time spent with my father :D

Uh, NO, Nancy, I have NOT tried the extreme versions of her new w/os. You crazy girl you!! Show off :p;) It was hard enough to get through them as is. But, like Natasha (do you go by a nickname?) I will build up to those and try them maybe this winter. Once again, I have sooo many ideas for rotations that I want to do!! I just found a kickboxing one that Im thinking of trying next since Ive been seriously neglecting KB for months!

Gosh am I talkative today!! Sorry ;) And I didn't even get to talk about my FitDesk some more (which Im on right now!). So, I'll BBL to chat you guys up some more as I have got to go do some errands.

Have a good day and work outs!!
