STS CHECK IN DISC 23

Hi Cathe & everyone !!!:)

This was a DOOZY ! The low end lunges about did me in !!!

I definitely have a love/hate relationship with the plates !!! THEY WORK !

I love the tri sets because I think they get in there like nothing else and the workout flies by .

Wall squats were back but these I like a LOT better than the ones where you set down and pick up the weights . I struggled so much on those and ended up doing them w/o weights anyway.

Oh, and there was a LOT of cardio -factor to this one for me. A LOT of heavy breathing and sweat !!

Loving STS ,
Becky

Fantastic workout! I loved having the wall squats back in the workout :D. They hit my quads like nothing else. The tri-sets really fly but boy am I always glad to be on the last set of them ;).

I love the low plane lunges; the sensation felt like electricity going through my legs. OTOH, I hate leg presses, never did, probably never will...but LOVE the results!!!

Disk 23 Legs

Just finished this workout...Whoa, nellie! My calves are about as tight as can be after that one! Yes, the low-plane lunges have resurfaced and are killer as always. However, at this point in the program, I find that I am much better at them as well as the plate work. Major improvements here! :D I really like the wall squats because they burn my quads like nothing else. I am feeling much stronger today than I did on Monday. Good thing as this was a tough workout. I had sweat droplets flying everywhere. I hope everyone enjoys this one and has a great workout. One more to go! :)

I did this workout at 6 this morning and loved every one of those trisets! The time just flies by on these leg workouts. Happy to see the wall squats back and especially since we didn't have to set our weights down this time. And as usual those calf raises at the end really got me. My weighted vest was feeling like it weighed 20 lbs because I was sweating so bad. It almost felt like a cardio workout.

Thanks again Cathe.

My week's been so busy I haven't had a chance to post about M2 Wk4's CST workout, and this one. They were both excellent ways to finish off the mesocycle. I'm anticipating the same from BB tomorrow. I'm going to miss the trisets for legs....love those. I was really happy to see the wall squats in this workout....love those, especially.

In both disks I found the dropsets went by at lightening speed. I had to lower my weights for the shoulder work in particular, because of the speed. But all muscles were brought to fatigue, and then some. This hypertrophy business is tough stuff!

At then end of this 9th week, I'm noticing enhanced definition in my upper body; shoulders and chest especially.

Cheers,
Sandra

Cathe, Cathe, Cathe...how do I say this? Putting the low-plane lunges as the LAST exercise in the LAST tri-set was beyond cruel! My legs were shaking like crazy! That aside, I loved this workout. I like the concept of the trisets. I do count down like a baseball game kind of like Cathe does. I cannot believe we are almost done with Mesocycle 2! This program is going by so quickly! I am looking forward to doing it all again after taking the summer off. Good luck to everyone with Back and Biceps!

What Becky said. :D

Hi Cathe and Everyone:)

Wow! that's a great way to describe Disc 23.

STS- Legs Disc#23= 50 min
Calories burned= 388

This was an especially kick butt workout, I thought and I loved every minute of it. This workout did seem to go a bit longer than previous legworkouts so far. I was happy to discover I can now do wall squats with hand weights and even increased the weight. When we first did wall squats in STS I couldn't do them with weights. I'm still loving the simplicity and genius of plate work and getting great results feeling many muscle groups recruited. I absolutely love doing leg work and think its so much fun, ok so I'm crazy

The one thing I did notice that gave me trouble was not any of the leg work or exercises but I found that at the end of the Narrow Squats and 45 degree lunges (I use 20# DB's) that on the last rep each set my right hand just struggles to keep a grip. I'm chalking that up to MS fatigue. Oh well, I still finished all the sets and reps. I love STS, but I'm sure you here that alot. It is definitely a workout that you can grow with as your strength and weights increase. Its da bomb!

Hugs to everyone!;)

Trisets, Legs ,Disc 23 was the best yet...ok, I know I keep saying that with each disc.:p I must have had My wheaties yesterday because I was able to keep up with all my weight and even went up on a few. I couldn't believe that I was holding a total of 42lbs while doing wall squats. I was outside myself. This was a great strong day for me and a nice way to end Meso 2. I used to loathe doing legs and now that is gone! WOOOHOOOOO!!!:D

OK..who was the sadistic nut that put Low max after disc 23 in the rotation. I stand as I am posting this....My glutes will hate you in the morning...

But I'm loving it all....:)

cathe, if you see this, or anyone else, would it be ok to do meso 3 over when i'm done. i really love this meso and i feel like it is really working me hard.

Lions and Tigers and Tri-Sets .....Oh My!!!!

I didn't have a chance to report in yet so I will now. Yowsa, I am really feeling the results of those low plane lunges now. They nearly took my breath away at the end. I don't think I could have done one more. I was doing these and thinking I bet everybody had their share of words for me when they were on this part, lol.

It was nice to have certain exercises make a come back too. Wall squats are always tough love for me.

This workout seemed extra tough for me compared to weeks past. It was hard to say why since I had a very hectic work week along with a lot of busy stuff going on at home too. But it felt good to release all that work stress.

I will miss tri-sets. I loved how fast they went and how winded I got too. This technique has quickly become one of my favorite ways to train legs since rehearsing it last year. It kicks butt everytime and never gets easier...Good Stuff!

One final workout left in this Mesocycle. I already did it today and it as not easy ;) Have fun everyone!

Had a crazy week & am late posting about W4 Legs. It was a toughie! I could really tell the difference with the 80% weights! But I got through all the sets/reps.
I'm looking forward to Meso 3 Plyo legs, but I have to say I'll miss the trisets some. My legs have felt so much stronger & even though this week legs were hard, my legs did not feel totally wiped out, as they have in past weeks. I'm seeing a difference!
STS is great!

melissa, it is the same crazy woman who put drill max before heavy leg day in meso 3. LOL! there has got to be something wrong w/her! she enjoys killing us off, i think!!!!
and, ya'll are gonna love meso 3. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT.
i want to do it over next month.

Hmmmm.....And I'm looking forward to Meso 3??? We are a whacked crew

Wow - some of these were a bit on the light side.

My legs are totally responding to these triple trisets. I love them!! My legs are looking fierce too (even if ever so slightly!).

Boy oh boy - those low plane lunges. First set - shocker. Second set - better. Third set -0 OUCH! Haha - great exercise there!

I am happy to report that I did my stiff legged deadlifts on the step with the fully prescribed weight. I just make sure that I am paying attention to perfect form. I was able to do 96 lbs!

I finally was able to do the calf raises correctly with the right weight yay for that too!

Great workout - still loving triple trisets!!!
