Well, it is over. Just like that, Meso 1 is gone. Disc 12 today went out with a bang! For some reason I felt under the weather today and had to force myself to do the workout - not like the others, ready and rearing to go. It was raining outside and I had a mild headache and my knees and lower back were achy too, it happens sometimes when it rains. So the wourkout was not as enjoyable as my other workouts so far. But I did it anyway - I read it in the Oxygen magazine once, Bob Kennedy said: "If you dont feel like going to the gym, go to the gym anyway!". Some good advise, that.
So, legs.
Went up to 70% on all exercises, even increased (yet again!!) my weight for the Leg Press and the one leg sit n slide. Did only one break mid workout - to catch my breath - but that is an improvement from the previous leg discs where I paused more. My forearms really burned from holding the 30 lbs DB for squats and I had to let go of the weight for some of the reps for calves. The wall squats were tough this time around too. But for the first time I did the one leg sit n stands with proper form - it just clicked, all of a sudden and I could do it. The bonus... oh, the bonus... The second leg couldnt make it at all on the ball - my ballance was completely off and until I even positioned myself, it was over! Ha.. Then the toss was fun, it fell only the first time, and all the rest I did according to plan. My mat was drenched in sweat in the end...
I am so happy this meso is over - first because of the recovery week ahead, and second, I have such a great feeling of accomplishment! I kept at it and didnt skip a single workout! I am looking forward to meso 2 - I am yet to preview the discs and I have only heard "things" about it which make me a little nervous, but ... I'm thinking - it cant be that bad! Afterall its Cathe's favorite, I just have to do it! Next week I'll do some yoga and some light cardio every day for 30 min, depending on my mood. I know it'll be over quick and STS will be back
and I'll be ready and waiting!
