STS BODYROCKERS MONTH OF MARCH

Good morning!

Oh my goodness I am in desperate need of a recovery week. My whole body feels sore and achy. Thank goodness it is finally here!! :) I did get in a few final workouts. Yesterday I went to Punch class after work. It was great as usual. This morning I did a High Step Challenge premix (51 minutes) + the 100 rep hip thrust challenge. I used a 25# barbell (I think Amanda uses a 45#barbell) and it was tough but doable. I think next time i'll up the weight just a tiny bit, maybe 30#. I'm still trying to give my shoulder a break so I skipped all pushups and rear delt exercises in HSC. I also skipped pushups last night during Punch class. Here's hoping after a full week of recovery the shoulder is better.

Wiggie: Excellent workouts lately!! This is my first time doing the 100 rep challenges, and surprisingly I am really enjoying them (I didn't think I would for some reason). My bis and tris have been super sore this week from the challenges, so something must be working. :) Um, I still have no idea on a new name. I'll try to think of something. Maybe. Possibly. Hopefully. :confused: :) Are you getting excited about your upcoming race?

Wendy: Yay on the official move! Balancing job responsibilities for two positions sounds tough. Hopefully you won't have to do that much longer! I'm good with postponing our TRC/B&G party. And Wiggie i'm sure we can find a substitute workout for you. ;) No way you're getting out of this challenge missy! :p;) I like the sound of your workout from last night. Enjoy your rest/stretch day!! You've certainly earned it.

BTW - QUIT ENABLING!!!! I'm STILL trying to gather the funds to get Combat, and NOW you all are enabling me to buy MORE! That's it. I'm ignoring everything you say about non-Cathe workouts. *sneaks off to check out JNL fusion* :D:p;) I'm kidding of course. I love hearing y'alls feedback.

I ended up doing Yoga Relax in full this morning...aaaahhhh...I just wish I could've gone back to bed after it was over! :rolleyes:

Then, on the way to work I felt like a truck hit me!!! I was soooo sleepy! :( I pulled in to the parking lot 15 mins early so I closed my eyes for 10 to try and revive myself. I made it through the day okay b/c I was super busy but on the way home the damn truck hit me again! :rolleyes:
Then tonight had to take DS up to my MIL's after dinner b/c he is staying over until Easter Sunday since we are going there anyway that day. The drive up there was not fun..needless to say...I was struggling to keep my eyes open! WTF? I got a normal amount of sleep last night!!! :confused: I could pass out right now but I refuse to b/c I don't have to go to work tmrw so I'm staying up on principal! :p

Tmrw isn't totally lady of leisure day for me though. LOL I am "reporting for duty" at the gym I am interning at at 9:30am sharp! I also tried to schedule the pt studio for the afternoon but he won't be around so I decided that I'll go food shopping after lunch instead! Do you ladies have off tmrw??

Katie:: I feel your pain re the hip thrust challenge! I think I've done that challenge 2-3x now but topped out at 30# so far IIRC. I think I would DIE if I tried to use Amanda's weight! :eek: It's an awesome challenge to do if you want glute DOMS! :) So I guess your TX vacation was perfectly planned if you are that in need of a recovery week huh? Good call on the shoulder! Not a good joint to mess with! :eek: I'll bet a little rest will go a long way! It sure did for me! LOL re the enabling. I wasn't enabling. I was simply sharing my newest fitness purchase with my fitness buddies! ;)

Wiggie:: I heard that about JNL too (no w/u or c/d). It's annoying but I can deal. :rolleyes: OMG a yoga work out from Z!?!? And it looks good!?! ENABLER ENABLER ENABLER!!!!!:p I love that you blew off a rest day on a whim! My kinda work out buddy! :D I used to be hooked on Y&R years and years ago and then ALMOST got hooked on it again while I was unemployed. I said ALMOST. I watched 2 or 3 episodes and then forced myself not to watch anymore so I wouldn't become addicted. :eek:

I slept until 9:30 this morning!!! I never do that! :eek:

Y'day morning before heading out to intern at the gym I banged out TF Fire 45 EZ and it kicked my butt all over the place! Which begs the question....WTH does the EZ stand for coz it's not the obvious!!!:eek::confused:

Spent 4 hours at the gym yday! :eek: We worked on the sales end of things and yes, we did some role playing. ACK! I have to say though, I am getting a bit better at it so there must be hope for me yet! :p He is going to fill out the paper work so I can send it in to get certified finally and we will continue to work on sales more while waiting for the cert to come in! I am getting dangerously close to actually having to do this for real! OMG!!!!:eek::eek::eek: In the meantime though, I will continue interning at the PT Studio b/c as I think I mentioned before-it seems they are doing this as a way to groom a prospective future employee so why not-right? :D

So JNL Fusion came y'day! I am going to give one of the work outs a try today without previewing it first! I'm living dangerously! :p

I need to clean the house and then we are going to Kohl's because we have Kohl's cash and a 30% coupon! After that we are going out to dinner with my mom and her S/O. :)

So I got on the scale 2 mornings ago. I didn't mention it earlier because it wasn't good. :( It's up to a new high since losing the weight on WW. :eek: I have not, however, outgrown my clothes, nor do I see any problems when I look in the mirror so I am trying to remain calm about it. :confused:

Ok, that's enough babbling outta me...lol...BBL!:cool:
 
Hello from Texas!!

We arrived this morning, and are currently relaxing at the River Walk in San Antonio. It's a beautiful city!! I can't wait to explore more. I'll pop back this evening for personals. :)

I didn't workout Thursday, Friday I did Zcut #6 & Saturday's was Pump Extreme.

Katie: So glad you had a safe trip! I don't know why I thought you were leaving next week.:rolleyes: Have fun & be safe! Take lots of pictures & think of our new name!!:D Remember, rest that shoulder young lady!!;) Yes, I feel like I'm ready & I was looking forward to it. I'm not sure I'll be able to go. My DH is having some health issues & might have to have surgery next week.:( Please keep us in your prayers.

Wendy: I wish I could sleep until 9:30!:mad: I always wake up early.:confused: I always wondered why EZ was at the end of those workouts because none of them are easy!!:eek: Wow, four hours? :eek: Congrats on finishing your internship! Your hard work has certainly paid off. How was JNL? I know you're going to love it. Re the scale, As long as your clothes aren't tight I wouldn't worry about it. With all the workouts you've been getting in you have probably gained some muscle.:) Maybe Yoga Relax wasn't the best choice at 5am!!:p

JNL Fusion Shoulder Shredder - DONE! That was y'day morning's work out and it was fantastic, Wiggie!;)

JNL Fusion Lower Body Fusion - is today's plan. I am going to try to follow her rotation as best as I can and IIRC this is the work out that is up next. I will do it after Church/lunch.

This afternoon we are going up to DH's mom's for Easter where my son has been since Thursday night. :)

Katie:: HAVE A BLAST IN TX!!!!!!:D

Wiggie:: Thanks re finishing my internship. Now I'm really scared though! :eek::p I always used to get up stupid early. Sometimes I still do but I'm getting better at sleeping in when I can. Today I slept until just after 9! Making progress! LOL I know-the fact that I still fit in my clothes and that I like what I see in the mirror is what's keeping me from getting upset. I'm hoping it's just a bad run due to vacation and lots of other social outings all being slammed into a short period of time. If that's what it is then once normalcy resumes for a while (probably after today), the scale SHOULD start to creep back down....FINGERS CROSSED! :rolleyes: Maybe the EZ is there because there are no interval blasts in those work outs?? That's all I can think of but man, EZ they are NOT!:eek: Nice work outs for you! What's on tap for today? LOL-I think you are right re Yoga Relax at 5am! I guess I won't be doing THAT again! :p

Wendy: Why O why did you have to love JNL!!:confused: I feel my resolve slipping, I am totally out of control, I can't stop buying workouts!! :p:mad::D Well, thanks to you :D, I will be getting JNL! But I am going to wait until I at least file my taxes, I doubt I'll wait untill my refund gets here. I haven't worked out yet, still deciding what I'll do today. Hope you have fun at your MIL's! :)

Nice job with Drenched! What a name for a work out! :eek::D Sorry I am enabling you to purchase JNL but I really do like it so far. I hope you do too! It's nothing complicated but man what a great work out!

Tonight I go the to PT Studio for a small group class. Can't wait! :D

So at the suggestion of the PT Studio owner/trainer, I just joined a site called www.ptonthenet.com . Apparently tons of useful info for trainers for $10 per month! I'm excited! :D

Hi beauties!

I'm stopping by to say, "hello". :) Because I fear Wiggie like no other :)p) i'm being a good girl and resting my shoulder completely. I haven't done any formal workouts, and really don't intend to while i'm in Texas. Yesterday, however, we spent the afternoon geocashing which required quite a bit of walking. I'm considering it informal exercise. :) Today I have been laaaazzzyyyy and loving every minute of it! I read a book this morning, enjoyed the hot tub for a bit, cleaned up and went into Wimberley for lunch, snacks, and shopping, and then read some more this afternoon. It's been very relaxing. Tomorrow we are going back to San Antonio, Wednesday we are going to Austin, and Thursday it's a toss up between tubing down the river and zip lining. Cheers!

You've both been getting in some excellent workouts. Keep up the great work!

Wiggie: I LOL when I saw you bought JNL. Oh the enabling! :p;) I say don't wait, order that sucker! :D

Last night's small group class at the PT Studio was awesome! It's a timed circuit routine that you go through several times and he changes it up 3-4x during the course of the work out. Good stuff! I'm sore! :D

Here's a sampling of some of the exercises that we did::

Wood chop with tubing
Cable machine back row
Stability ball plank roll out
Gliding disc backward and side lunges
Saw Planks
Med ball slams
Bear crawls
Speed squats
Kettlebell swings
Ropes
Mountain Climbers

This morning's work out goes back to the JNL Rotation which calls for the work out that I think is called "Bicep Builder". :)

Katie:: Sounds like you are having a blast though I admit that you are doing a little TOO much relaxing WITHOUT a drink in your hand if you ask me!!! WTH!? :confused::eek:;):p Awww thanks re the scale. :) Still tryin' not to let it get to me!

Wiggie:: I second Katie's opinnion on the JNL purchase! Heheh! ;)

Monday's workout was Pure Burn Strength by Bob & Tuesday's was Body Rev #10 by JM. I am going to have to wait on JNL, I bought a heavy bag workout from totalfitnessdvds.com called Addiction. I have a heavy bag that I have had a long time , but no actual heavy bag dvds. I am really out of control when it comes to buying dvds. Help me!!:confused::eek::p

Wendy: Great workouts!! You are really enjoying your time at the pt studio, did you help put that workout together?

Katie: Lol re fearing me!!:p Good girl, you follow orders quite well!!:p:D How is that shoulder feeling? Better I hope. I know it's hard to rest completely, though it seems like you are adapting easily!! :)

Hello. :)

No work out for me this morning. I decided to sleep in guilt free because I am working out at the pt studio tonight! ;) Oh and I also have to do 3 burpees at some point to fulfill this month's fb challenge for today! If I had a private office I would shut the door and do them right now! :D

Last night I went to the gym where I've been interning. We spent all of our time on the sales end of things...yes, did some role playing (which I am actually getting a bit less squeamish about! YAY!) The trainer pretended to be a young valley girl ditzy type during the role playing! He had me cracking up! :D Ofcourse he forgot to have my interniship paper work ready to go but he promised he'd have it for me this week so we'll see! :rolleyes: Going back thurs eve and/or sat for more sales practice and to p/u the paperwork. Hopefully we will also get to that other gym he wants me to check out to see if I'd be interested in training there. It sounds like a good deal for me but not without it's issues so we'll see...

Wiggie:: Nice work outs! Bob's Pure Burn Strength is crazy hard for me!:eek: How about you? LOL-re the heavy bag dvd purchase! Enjoy it! :) Proud of you for putting JNL on hold! I would have just bought both! :p

Good morning!!

Wednesday's workout was Susan Chung's POW workout. It has a heavy bag segment. It really works your arms & shoulders. It also has lots of kicks to the bag & air so it hits the lower body too. Getting ready for The Addiction set.:)

Today is a rest day.

Last night's work out was a goody! Planks, push ups, balls, ropes, cable machine, dumbells, kettlebells and the list goes on! I swear the man is trying to kill me! ;) I go back on Saturday morning for a small group training class. Last night was one on one. :)

Tonight I am headed back to the gym to go over sales techniques some more and hopefully he'll have my internship paperwork ready for me. Fingers crossed! :p

Nice job on your work out! :) I used to have that Susan Chung dvd. It never clicked with me so I sold it. I think I might be the only person who DIDN'T like it! :rolleyes: So when is Addiction due on your doorstep? :D
