STS BODYROCKERS MONTH OF MARCH

Good Afternoon Ladies!:)

A little crazy at work after being out for four days so I'm trying to catch up!

This morning's work out was 1/2 of Combat 60 Live inserting a set of lower body weight work after each track...15 squats, 15 front lunges per leg, 15 side lunges per leg, 15 rear lunges per leg, 15 plie squats and last but not least, I did Core Attack! :eek: Good stuff! It sucked me dry! :D

Katie:: Sorry about your shoulder. Hope it's just temporary. When I was doing lots of BH work outs my shoulders were bothering me alot from overuse. When I stopped, they got better quickly. Horizontal Conditioning never intrigued me. I looked at it once but never felt the need to purchase it. I hope it grows on you! If not, you can always sell it on Ebay! :D Coming back to work y'day with no day in between to recouperate was tough but luckily it's a short week for me! This first work out (this morning) now that I am back home was tougher for me though then the first day back at work TBH! I thought I was going to hurl! :eek:

Wiggie: Plyo X? Wow! I haven't done that one in ages!!!! Your race is only a couple weeks away! No worries! You'll do great!:)

Back to report that I decided to do the Leg Blast Premix of Butt and Guts at 8:30 this evening!!! What was I thinking!?!?! :eek::p:eek::p
 
Hey Girls.

So sore today - EVERYWHERE!!! :eek:

I decided to do BH Totally Ripped Core this morning. OUCH! :eek::eek::eek:

Tmrw around 1pm or so I am heading down to Atlantic City (yes, more casino fun!:D) because my BFF is having her Bachelorette party down there! Can't wait! :D

Hopefully if you girls post before I leave, I'll be able to pop in and do personals...If not, then there is always Sunday when I get back!

Hi girls!!

It's been a fun, relaxing weekend. Well, kind of, LOL! I worked yesterday to get a few extra hours to make up for missing next week. I actually got a lot done at work because I didn't have any distractions. Today has been busy busy busy - laundry, dishes, grocery shopping, lunch at in-laws, easter egg hunt/dying eggs with nephew, baked a cake, made a huge pot of split pea soup, etc. :)

Workout wise I went to Punch class at lunch and today I did Butts & Guts. EEK! My bum is already sore. It was so freaking tough, but except for missing a few reps here and there, I did it. :)

Wiggie: I hope you're having a fabulous time at Myrtle Beach! Can't wait to hear all about your trip.

Wendy: How was your weekend girlie? A trip to the casinos I see. I'm so jealous!! Did you win big money? Nice job getting back into the swing of things are Vegas. BH Totally Ripped Core is a toughie fo sho. Maybe I should pull that one out soon. ;) Sadly my shoulder is still bothering me. I don't know what is going on. :( :( :(

Good Morning Ladies!:)

The Bachelorette party was a blast! Good times with a great group of women!:D

Got home around 4pm y'day, totally exhausted so I promptly laid down for a nap for about 90 mins. :p Felt much better when I woke up! I felt so good that after my son went to bed I decided to squeeze a work out in so I did 30 mins of Hard Strikes!

Saturday before I left I did Super Cuts! I was sooo sore on Saturday-IDK what I was thinking when I picked that work out but I got through it! :D

My quads are still pretty sore today-still reeling from B&G Leg Blast premix I did last week! :eek:

No work out this morning b/c I go to my first interning session at the training studio tonight which will include a work out! Can't wait! So excited! :D

Katie:: You had a busy weekend indeed! Nice job with B&G in full! I need to do that one so let's pick a day that you can do BH Ripped Core and I'll do B&G and then we can compare the pain! LMAO! :p So when do you leave for TX? Will you be checking in at all while you are away? Sorry about your shoulder. I hope it feels better soon. Nope-I didn't win any money this weekend but I didn't gamble very much either....Only for about 2 hours right before heading home.

Ok, gotta get ready for work now. I'll try to pop back in at lunch if someone is around!

Good morning!

Well, I originally planned to do TBT: Upper Body this morning, but I quickly realized that one is full of pushups. I can't shake the shoulder pain, and pushups hurt like crazy, so instead of TBT I did the upper body premix from Hiigh Reps + Back (which is left out of the upper body premix) + 100 rep scarecrow challenge + 100 rep bicep challenge. My lower body is sore from B&G, so here's hoping my upper body will be sore tomorrow. ;)

Sad news on the FBI front. The FBI has suspended hiring due to the fiscal uncertainty in Washington. Who knows when they are going to resume hiring. So I guess it's not awful news, but still disappointing. I think i'm going to postpone my FBI PT training for a month or so too.

Wendy: Yay for DOMS! :) Sounds like you had a busy but fun-filled weekend. Aww man, if I had thought about it I would have done Super Cuts this morning. What a great choice. :( Dang. I'm all about a BH Totally Ripped Core/B&G extravaganza. Just name the day. :) Kick butt tonight at your intern session. How much longer do you have to intern before you can become a full-fledged PT? I leave early Saturday morning for Texas. I can't wait! Thanks for your concerns regarding my shoulder. I don't understand what the deal is. It hurts on the back, outer part of the shoulder. Maybe I sprained it? Can you sprain your shoulder?? I've decided if it's not better when I get back from Texas i'm going to the doctor. I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Sorry that I didn't post at all while I was away but the hotel didn't have free internet! :mad: You would think as expensive as they are that would be included!! I had a great time though, went out to eat seafood twice:rolleyes:, once at Red Lobster & once at Captain Benjamins. I did manage to get some workouts in, Tuesday(at home) I did Intensity as suggested by Katie, Wednesday was a rest day, Thursday I did sort of a mish-mosh of most of the Tapout XT2 workouts as I was previewing them, no workout Friday, Saturday I went to the on site gym & ran a little over 4 miles & did LegsXtreme(Tapout XT2) & Sunday at home did Tone it Up.

Katie: So sorry about the FBI, you were going to knock that pt test out of the park!! :) Maybe you should give that shoulder some complete rest, maybe just some gentle stretching, You have been hitting it pretty hard lately. I love working on the weekend occassionally, I just get so much done, no phones, less people, love it! Sounds like you & your nephew had a blast, makes for good memories.Texas, so exciting, I know you'll have fun, be safe!! I've never been there, will this be your first time?


Wendy: Sounds like Vegas was all you'd hoped it would be & more!! & then a bachelorette party the next weekend? You are a party animal!!:D You have been hitting it hard yourself young lady, enjoy that doms, I know you love it! Speaking of doms, I had plenty after my run & leg workout right after, my thighs are still feeling it!:p

Katie:: Oh booh! What a bummer about the FBI putting a hold on hiring. I hope they change that soon!!!! I need to make sure my legs are fresh for the TRC/B&G day and I'm not sure what I'm in for tonight so would you want to tentatively schedule it for Wednesday maybe? Good thinking to do the scarecrows b/c they work the rotator cuff and that's usually what is tweaked/injured when someone's shoulder is bothering them. The scarecrows (done with light weights) should help. I have no idea how much time I technically have left on my internship. I am probably just about there but I want to feel ready to take on my first client even if it takes 100 hours! :eek: I mean, after 30 hrs I can get certified no matter what but unless I feel ready the paper will mean nothing to me. :confused: I learned a bit about sprains and strains in my PT course. IIRC a STRAIN is a tendon injury and a SPRAIN is....um....something else! :p LOL Anyway, depending on what in your shoulder is actually causing the pain, I am sure it's possible to SPRAIN it AND/OR to STRAIN it!

Wiggie:: You must give me your feedback on TapOut XT2 as I am considering purchasing it! :D Glad you had a blast on your weekend away! You deserve it! Great work outs too-ofcourse! :)
 
Tonight's first workout at the pt studio I am now interning with was great! It was a circuit of bridges, planks, squats, swings, push ups, ropes and rows! I go back on Wednesday for more! :)

So as I said before, I'm going back to the PT Studio tmrw evening! ;) I also have plans to hit the gym I've been interning with on Friday morning (I am off for Good Friday! YEAH!) to observe him training some clients. I may also see if I can get back to the PT Studio in the afternoon because I can! :)


No work out this morning...but maybe tonight if I catch a second wind...:rolleyes:

Hello!!

This morning's workout consisted of the cardio only premix from BM2 + 100 rep lying tricep extensions. I'm enjoying the 100 rep challenges. My biceps are super sore from yesterday's 100 rep fun. Plus my lower body is still talking to me from B&G. Love that! :p;)

Wiggie: Wow, no free internet? What a bummer. So glad you had a great time and got to fill up on seafood. ;) I'm not a huge seafood fan, but when you're at the beach you just have to eat seafood at least once! I'm super impressed at all the fantastic workouts you got in while on vacation. I don't plan on doing a bloody thing next week. Okay, maybe a little yoga. But i'm just following your orders to let me shoulder rest completely!! :D:D I've been through Texas once (in the airport, does that really count?) but this will be my first time really visiting Texas. My aunt's "vacation estate" is located almost directly in between Austin and San Antonio, so we plan on visiting both cities.

Wendy: Yay for a great workout last night!! How does the new PT studio compare to the others? Excellent idea to wait until you feel ready to start training clients. Ya know, most people would jump right in as soon as they got their intern hours whether they were indeed ready. You're a class act girlie!! BIG thumbs down on the no sleep. What happened?? Thanks for the info on the strain v. sprain. I may try to "google diagnose" myself this afternoon. ;) It's funny because Cathe said during the scarecrow 100 rep challenge that, if a person has a shoulder injury, a physical therapist will have him/her use light weights and do high reps. So I figured doing the 100 rep scarecrow could only help. :) I've got a Punch class scheduled for tomorrow so maybe we could do our B&G/TRC day on Thursday? Or when I get back from vaca? Because i'm postponing my FBI PT Training my schedule for April is wide open!

Monday's workout was Addicted to Sweat Wet Wet Wild(disc 3) & most of X Stretch, it was a lot of fun. & like Plyo X it didn't seem as hard as other workouts, but there wasn't a dry spot on me when I got through. I would like to join you ladies for B&G/TRC day, except I don't have TRC. I guess I'll have to think of a suitable sub:rolleyes:. Don't forget, we are supposed to be thinking of a new name for our thread, so far I got nothing!!:confused::eek:

Wendy: I am enjoying Tapout XT2, I preordered on the last day. It came with some cool equipment(that's what swayed me), all with Tapout written on them, a weighted ball w/handles, a heavy band w/handles & a jump rope. I'm glad pt went so well, that workout sounds tough. Hope you sleep better tonight.

Katie: Good job on BM2!! I need to join you on some of those 100 rep challenges, maybe I'll tack them on the end of my workouts. Your Aunt's place sounds wonderful, I know you'll have a great time!!:) I think the airport counts!:p:D

EEEWWWW! :eek: Hmmm....I guess post vacation would actually probably be the best time for the TRC/B&G day instead of trying to squeeze it in before you leave. Sound good? On first impression, I am very impressed with the PT studio. The guy that owns it was a top trainer at a gym I worked in the babysitting dept for (and was also a member of) when I was a SAHM. He trained of friend of ours and she lost alot of weight. He left to start his own biz and is apparently quite successful! I wasn't sure what the purpose of seeking out an intern was and I was to shy to ask but I was on the fb site for the studio and they had posted for "help wanted" in December stating that they wanted an intern to train to be a part of their team (as in work there!). That made me happy! The more options the better! ;)

Wiggie:: The idea isn't to do both B&G and TRC crazy woman! :eek: Katie did B&G in full and I had done TRC. She mentioned wanting to pull TRC out one day and I said now that I've survived B&G LB premix that I should buck up and do the work out in full so I suggested we each do the other work out on the same day. Going to join me with B&G then? {insert evil grin here} I'm not coming up with any catchy names for our thread either. :confused: We have to think of something we have in common to use in the name...? Anyone? Anyone? Glad to hear you like Tap Out XT2. I can't find any deals on it on Ebay so if I buy it, I'd probably have to pay full price. IIRC that's about $120.00. Think it's worth it??
 
Wendy: I guess I am crazy,:p You know I do doubles from time to time!! I figure the weighted ball is worth one of the payments, then the band & the rope are worth probably 10.00 each, so half the money is the equipment making it worth the 120.00. I did it in one payment & got the warranty free.
 
Good Morning. :)

Yesterday was a rest day...I was just too darn exhausted to work out. :(

Well, last night I decided to put my Ebay cash towards a work out set that IDT anyone else I know has....JNL Fusion...Hopefully it's a goody coz it wasn't cheap! :eek: Worst case scenario though, I can always re-sell it...along with the next handful of dvds I already have picked out to unload as soon as I get around to it!:p

So at work they have finally begun the process of "officially" moving me over to the accounting dept-I got my phone/vm switched over to that desk in the afternoon. Now they have to get me a sign on for that computer. I am working under the former accoutning gal's sign on right now...I will still be doing the file clerk duties part time but with the exception of the actual FILING itself, I'll be able to do the rest from one desk instead of bouncing back and forth like I've been. With as much as there is to do in the accounting area, I think the big boss is a little crazy thinking I can keep up with both jobs long-term but who am I to turn down a CHALLENGE!? ;):D:p If anything, it's the file clerk work load that will suffer and then they will most likely end up giving it to someone else which is fine with me as long as I ultimately get to stay in accounting. :)

Wiggie:: Speaking of doubles, I will be doing that today! Going to do something cardio-based this morning and then I'm working out at the PT Studio tonight again! WOOT! :D I see your point about TapOutXT being worth the $ b/c of the equipment but quite frankly, I have plenty of med balls, bands and a jump rope! How much more do I need!?!? :eek: Oh and I'm STILL waiting to find a Pump set that comes w/o the equipment for a decent price! :confused:

XTrain Legs - Barre, Ball & Chair only plus XTrain Tabata - 5 + 4 in that order omitting step recovery blasts in between.....DONE!:D

Wendy: This is almost scary, I have been watching the JNL Fusion infomercial every time I can catch it. I have been wanting it for the longest, I put it in the cart, then I say no!!:confused: You just got Tapout XT2, you don't need it!! :p If you like it I know I will end up ordering it. I see your point about the equipment, I didn't have a med ball w/handles, but I do have a jump rope & tubing, but not with tapout on it!:p I hope you love your new assignment.:)

Tonight's PT Studio work out:: Me, a mat, perfect push bars, 2 sets of dumbells, 2 kettlebells, ropes, a cable machine, gliding discs and flying sweat for 45ish mins....DONE!:D


Tomorrow morning I am going to try to do a short work out to warm up the muscles and then do a long stretch!


Tmrw is my Friday! :D YAY!

Wiggie:: I have never seen the JNL Fusion infomercial. I didn't even know she had one! LOL I had heard very little about this program and had no interest in finding out more until I stumbled upon her at bodybuilding.com. They have tons of free work out programs on the website (something from her included) and I was considering trying one until I saw that she has a dvd program available-it just makes things easier. :) I hope I like it! I'll keep you posted! What a bunch of enablers we are! :p Not sure if my new assignment refers to my new work responsibilities or the new place where I am interning but I can tell you that so far I'm loving both! :D

Wednesday was supposed to be my rest day, but I ended up riding my spin bike while watching the Young & The Restless.

Wendy: I am watching JNL Fusion right now!!:D:p I hope you like it. The only complaint I've heard about it, is there is no warmup or cool down included in the workouts. Zuzka is releasing a Power Yoga dvd on April 5th. I watched the clip & it is obvious that she has been doing yoga for a loong time.:eek: RE your new assignment, both!! :) That pt workout looks tough, good job!! ;)
