STS BODYROCKERS MONTH OF JANUARY

Good Morning....

Sitting here, a bit sleep deprived, ready and waiting to head to an appointment for my training internship. I slept fine until about 3am when I got up to pee and then that was all she wrote except for dozing off for a few minutes here and there. :(

This morning I did BBL Bum Bum (the intensity of this work out surprises me every time I do it!), 50 body weight walking lunges, 20 push ups, 40 firewalkers with a medium tension loop and 60 stability ball inner thigh squeezes. I didn't want to take another rest day and if I was going to put forth the effort to do a work out today, I wanted it to be more then yoga! Not sure I will fit in a work out tmrw anyway so I'll definitely be glad for this one in that case. I am planning for yoga again on Friday though! :)

Wiggie:: You did the pistol squats after Intensity!?!? :eek: Crazy girl!!!!!!:p Yes inner thigh squeezes with the stability ball is what I mean. :)

Katie:: Love that you already signed up for Friday's beer class! LOL Yes, my TF order has been shipped. I was never told what the issue was but apparently it has been resolved. YAY! :) I plan to work out in the morning once I start my job but it may be a slow go getting started and used to it again! Going to have to go to bed uber early for a couple of weeks until the bod acclamates, ya know? I think my BBL plan is doable. The work outs aren't terribly long and there's no heavy lifting that I can injure myself doing in a sleep deprived state! :p I am also hoping with 3 internship sites to choose from that I will be able to schedule my hours around my job pretty easily. I called 2x to reschedule y'day's meeting that I had to cancel due to my job interview and am waiting for a c/b still. She took over a week to call me back initially though so I guess perhaps I should expect the same....:rolleyes:. No word from the Y yet on my background check p/w. If I don't hear from her today I think I will shoot her and email in the morning to follow up. I'd like some idea of when the internships will get rolling now that I am going to be working f/t again starting Monday! :eek: I'm still in shock that I have a job to go to on Monday! LOL :p Hey, you ordered Combat right? When will you get it??? :D

Sorry I never made it back here y'day. :rolleyes:

So I have DOMS in my lower body this morning and nary a dumbell was used! :confused:...AWESOME! :D

The internship meeting went well. The guy has a lot of experience with WITS interns as he's done this many many times before. He really likes the program/certification so he is very supportive of the internship. He spent an hour talking to me about WITS, interning, the personal training company he works for as well as the gym that they are based in. Lots of information to digest with a job at the end of it all if I so desire. In addition, we made an appointment for tmrw morning at 9:30 tomorrow morning to get started. :)

Then while I was driving home I got an email from the lady at the Y that I am cleared to start there as well. She sent me the contact info for her trainers so I will start reaching out to them as well. After tomorrow I will only be looking for interning hours on Sat/Sun. With a brand new job starting, I will be exhausted in the evenings so doing evening hrs at the gyms right now is not a good idea. I won't learn a thing! :p Once I am comfortable in the job, if I still have intern hours to do then I will likely do some week day evenings to finish it out quicker if it helps.

The 3rd site has yet to return my call to reschedule our meeting. :rolleyes: I will call one more time maybe tmrw afternoon and then I'm done. It's a gorgeous facility and so close to home but I don't need the aggravation of dealing with someone who doesn't respond when I won't even be getting paid for my time, ya know? :mad:

Ok wow, I just babbled on for a loooong time, didn't I? LOL OOPS. Sorry. It's just that my left went from a bunch of NOTHING to EVERYTHING ALL AT ONCE!!!! :eek::eek::eek::eek:

I was supposed to get up with the chickens today to test out my early morning work out abilities but um...that didn't happen. :eek: When the alarm went off I immediately shut it off and went back to sleep. I will try again tmrw. :p

Heading out early this morning to go up to my mom's. My family got tickets to see Spiderman on Broadway from her and her BF for Christmas. We will all go together so we have to sit together and pick a date and order the tix. After that we are going shopping for Re-Wedding Shoes for me. :)

Oh and get this....Ebay sent me a notice that the TF listing I won was removed for some reason. WHAT? So now I have to wait and see if I get the product. It says it shipped but the tracking # doesn't work. It says to wait up to ten days AFTER the expected delivery date. If I receive it and it's fine then I can just keep it but if I don't get it, etc then I have to file a complaint or whatever with Ebay to get my money back. GRRRRRR. I better just get the darned thing!!!!! :mad::mad::mad:

Wednesday's workout was Tone it Up by Debbie Siebers. It's very high rep which I am very into right now. It's from her Slim Series set, I got it from team beachbody for 29.95. :D I went to WW yesterday & my weight is back to normal. :)

Katie: I agree Intensity does sneak up on you, at first I was thinking this isn't as hard as I remembered then wow!! :eek:

Wendy: You are one busy lady!! You can handle it, you sound like you are enjoying it!! Sorry about your problems with TF.:mad: Hope everything works out.

Hi beauties!

Today's workout was Disc 21 (back and biceps). I'm slowly making my way through Meso 2. ;) I LOVE my new barbell. It really makes a difference, I think. I'm so glad I saved my pennies to get it. :D

Wendy: Wow, you are one busy gal! I'm so glad everything is finally starting to come together for you. You deserve it! If you find re-wedding shoes make sure to send us a picture!! I can shop vicariously through you, LOL! No, I haven't ordered Combat yet. :(:(:( For reasons I need not get into we got hit with $1,000 in unexpected bills this past month, so we are big time broke. But, we'll be okay and hopefully I can order Combat in a few weeks. Wow, that Ebay seller needs to be reported for sure!!!!

Wiggie: Yay for normal weight! That's always a good sign. I need to get back to my normal weight. It's just sooo hard to do during STS. :rolleyes: Great job with your workout this morning!

I did BBL High and Tonight around 5 tonight. I have DOMS from y'days work out as I may or may not have already mentioned so man oh man did H&T hurt like hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek: But ofcourse I secretly loved every minute of it! ;):p:D

PS, went re-wedding shoe shopping today. they didn't have these shoes in what I hope is my size in the store so they are shipping them to my house for free! is the middle (orange) color. I know it seems wierd but the combo of the beige front (darker then what my computer shows it to be) and the orange back is awesome looking and the little accent at the bottom of the heel is sharp as heck. anyway, I think the splash of color will be a nice addition if the color of the rest of the shoe goes ok with the dress!

Katie::: Awww what a bummer about the unexpected bills!:( Combat is worth the wait though. Trust me!!!! :D Ebay is the one who advised me about the listing. They pulled it for some reason. UGH. I was all amped up to try TF and now I have to wait until who knows when! I can't buy another copy until I know for sure if I am getting this one or not! BOOH! But I guess if you can wait for Combat then I can wait for TF!

Wiggie::: Congrats on acheiving your WW goal! YAY! I am still working on it and definitely seeing progress so I'm happy! What do you think of the music in the Slim Series? I don't find the music to be all that important but man that music drives me batty. I always shut it off! I like the work outs though! :)

Ok, that's all for now...no work out this morning coz I didn't feel like rushing to fit it in but I will definitely do something when I get home!

Thursday's workout was ZCUT workout 1 & 2. Awesome!!:eek: It's Zuzana's signature style all the way! After wk#1 I did the cool down & felt like I hadn't worked out long enough, so I went back & did #2. Thanks guys, re WW!!:D

Wendy: Love the shoes, orange is one of my favorite colors!! Good job on BBL, I love a workout that doesn't need equipment to get the job done! I sort of like the music in SS, I like working out to a beat. Big BOOH on no TF!!:mad: I was excited to see what you thought of it, I love it, but not everybody does. Your first pt appt, so exciting!!

Katie: WTG sticking with STS! I absolutely do not lose when I"m doing it.:( Tried it many times, when I go back to my"normal" rotation I start losing again.:confused: The barbell definitely makes a difference, especially on deadlifts. Even when she uses dumbells on them I stick with the barbell. So sorry about the unexpected expenses, bummer!:mad:

Afternoon!

I'm scheduled for Happy Hour today at 5:00 pm. Yay for a fun workout, i'm sure. Yay for free beer! :D :D :D

Wendy: I almost did it today..I almost pulled the trigger. I almost bought... COMBAT. But, alas, I didn't. I got nervous. LOL! I'm such a weirdo. How are the DOMS today? I secretly enjoy them too. :p:eek: LOVE the shoes!! They are gorgeous. You are going to look amazing!

Wiggie: Glad you enjoyed your Zuzana workouts! I didn't even realize she had put out DVDs. Actually, I do remember you all mentioning that, but I was trying not to listen, if you know what I mean (i.e. I don't need to buy ANY MORE workouts right now, lol). Yeah it sucks not to lose anything with STS, but i'm almost finished with the rotation now and dang gonnit i'm gonna finish! :p;)
 
Good Morning. :)

So my first 2 hours of interning are complete. I feel I will learn a lot from this place and what's better is that they already said that they want me to work for them once I'm certified! :D They work differently then most gyms when it comes to being trainer though and I think it's a better deal. Most gyms have a tiered pay scale so you start out at a low rate of pay and then (and this is the crappy part) you get raises depending upon the amount of $$ you bring in, NOT according to how good of a trainer you are! :mad: So in other words, a part time trainer (like I will be, atleast for a while), really can never get paid well for training in a place like that b/c I won't be able to bring in the business required to be bumped up in the pay scale! :mad: So anyway the way this place does it is that you make 40% of every dollar you bring in regardless of how many appointments you have. Another difference is that most gyms have a strict amount that they charge for training and a set way of doing things over all. This place is very open. They have a price list but trainers are allowed to adjust the price as they see fit. I can train one at a time or ten at a time. Whatever I can close a sale on that will make me $ and make the clients happy. I can take my clients to the park and train them there for a change of pace if I want. I can basically do anything I want in order to get customers and build a business! There is no set schedule. My hours are made by me. There is no minimum or maximum of hours I can work. The only thing they don't do is pay you a base salary for your floor time/selling time. You only get paid when you train but considering the fact that most floor time is paid at a really low rate, I will deal with it! The fact that they let me be creative with my sales pitch and how I train is very appealing to me. Oh and they will "intern" me for as many hours as I need to be ready! They said if I need 50 hours they will do it. :) IDK how the YMCA I am going to be interning at pays. She said they have hired interns so I guess I will find out if I am offered a position.

Okay, enough rambling on about that! :p

Y'day's work out was the FIRST PART 28m premix of SuperCuts. I think the premix name is lame :p but I loved the work out!:D Not sure what's on tap for today. I'll decide once I am ready to hit it!

Katie:: So how was your work out? And the free beer? :D LOL you sound like me with almost buying and then "chickening out" for whatever reason. I do that alot! :p Thank you re the shoes and the sweet compliment! :)

Wiggie:: Glad you liked the Z work outs. Was her speed reasonable to keep up with or did you go at your own pace? I need to try them soon and I think this week is the perfect time! I still want to do BBL but a week of short n sweet work outs to get me back in the early morning work out game isn't a bad idea! :D

Hello....

Well I slept horribly last night so I am exhausted this morning but I got up at 4:30 anyway, sucked down 3 cups of java and worked out. I did Z-cut work out #1 with her warm up, cool down and half of the bonus ab routine. It took about 35 minutes total.

Friday's workout was Mix it Up, Saturday's was Firm it Up, I only worked out once since I had a hair appt & went shopping with my DD. She lives 40 minutes away in Columbia. Sunday's workout was CycleMax & Shape it Up.

Wendy: Sorry about not being around this weekend, I had every intention of posting & never got around to it. :( Your internship sounds like a good deal. Smart of them to go ahead & try to snatch you up!! :D Of course you wouldn't sleep well for your first day of work.:mad: Maybe you were too excited? I hope your day goes well in spite of it. I am saving ZCUT for week day workouts too since they are so time efficient. They are perfect for when you are short on time. I kept up with her fairly well, she got in more reps than I did of course!:p I didn't stop it to make sure I got all reps in. I figure as I get better, I'll get faster.

Katie: I'm sure you had fun at Happy Hour!!:D I know what you mean about not needing any more dvds!! I have vowed not to buy anymore unless they are cheap!!:p

Hi girls,

Rough weekend for me. I went to my Happy Hour class on Friday and did STS Disc 22 on Saturday. Yesterday I came down with a stomach bug and spent the entire day either in bed or getting familiar with my toilet. It was awful. I threw up no less than 8 times. Needless to say I did not work out yesterday. I'm still not 100% today, but better. My muscle still feel achy and my stomach is very touchy. BUT, I ate a little bit this morning and kept it down, so that's a good sign. I may try to do a little something after work, but unlikely. I feel like I should just rest and recover at this point.

Wendy: Boo on bad sleep. But good luck today! I can't wait to hear all about your first day of work at the law firm. Don't let any snotty-ass lawyers get to you. ;) Your internship arrangement sounds great! I'm so happy everything is finally falling into place for you.

Wiggie: Nice workouts this weekend. How was your shopping trip?

Today will be a premix of one of XTrain's leg work outs.

Chest is still crazy flamin' but didn't keep me up last night atleast. I passed out! :p

First day of work was fab! Excited for today!

Monday's workout was Fire 30. I was feeling tired so I did a short workout & went to bed at 9:00. I usually go to bed at 1030 or 11. Today I plan to go for a run at the gym.

Katie: I am so sorry you had a rough weekend, an upset stomach just makes you feel so awful. :( Glad to hear you are on the mend.

Wendy: So glad your first day of work went well. You have been a lady of leisure long enough!!:D

It's supposed to reach 70 degrees today, beautiful!!:)

I got up the courage to work out this morning and did Disc 23 (legs). Workout felt great at the time, not so great now. I think my body is still just weak and recovering. Live and learn, right? :p ;)

So, a potential adoption situation fell in our laps this past weekend. It's not for newborn baby, but for two young boys (6 and 18 months). I don't want to say too much at this point because there's sooooo much that could go wrong. But, if you don't mind, keep DH and me in your prayers! :)

Wendy: How are you adjusting to the early morning workouts again??? I'm impressed with you workouts so far! When I started doing early morning workouts I think I did nothing but yoga for a few weeks, lol! Glad your first day went well. Can't wait to hear all about it!

Wiggie: Thanks re: feeling better. I'm definitely on the mend. I hate being sick in general, so Sunday was pure torture for me. Did you catch up on a little sleep last night? Great job sneaking in your workout despite being tired. That's hard I know. It's supposed to be almost 70 degrees today here too. So excited for the sunshine!
 
Hello Ladies. :)

Day 2 is done. Good day but my feet are KILLING me! :eek: I stood for 6 hours doing my job....big dummy that I am! :rolleyes:

This morning I did XTrain Cardio Leg Blast 1-6 + (some of) core #2. :) There came a point where I just physically could not do the exercises (in core #2) anymore!!!:eek::(:eek::confused:

Tmrw is my rest day! :D

Katie:: What fabulous news! I know the adoption is just a possiblity right now so my fingers, legs, toes, and eyes are all crossed for you and your DH!!!!!:D:D:D Go easy with your work outs until you are 100%. Not worth risking a re-lapse. Been there. Done that. :eek: Not fun. :rolleyes: I think the only reason I seem to be falling back into the super early morning w/o routine so easily is because I did it for 2 years when i was at my last job and I guess my body is still used to it despite the 9 month break from it! Speaking of my 9 month break....the woman I was working for today said that she was out of work for THREE YEARS before she got the job she has now!!!! THREE YEARS!!!!!! How scarey is that!?!?! I guess I have no right to complain!:eek:

Wiggie:: Great work out! I was in bed at 8:30 last night so don't feel bad! LOL I think I actually went to sleep at 9:00 though. I usually watch a little tv before I start snoring. :p Yup, this lady of leisure is retired! ;)

As planned I went for a run at the gym, almost 3 miles. :eek: I can't seem to go any further than that.:mad: I can go further but my form gets sloppy if you know what I mean.:confused: After the run I did the elliptical for a while & then I got on this machine that looks like a real staircase. I did that one till my legs were tired.:eek:

Wendy: I'm glad your new job is going so well!!:) You know all that standing is burning calories!!:D Great job getting those early morning workouts in!! That is so hard for me, I still do mine in the evenings, I just don't feel like jumping around in the am!!:p

Katie: That is great news about the adoption!! :D Of course you will be in my prayers everyday until it happens & beyond!! Please take it slow while you are recovering, you'd be surprised how dehydrated you become during a virus. Yes, I do feel like I caught up on my rest, I got up feeling refreshed!! :)

Morning!

I finished up Meso 2 this morning with Disc 23 (back and biceps). I hate pullups. I suck at them (can't do any "real" ones yet) and the bar hurts my hands. Man, i'm whiney this morning. :D Anyway, other than my pullup distate, the workout felt great. I also added on a short ab segment (about 8 minutes).

There is a chance this evening DH and I will be able to meet the boys we might adopt. I'll keep you updated! :)

Wendy: Geez, what the heck do they have you doing at that law firm where you have to stand for 6 hours straight?? ;) Very happy to hear you are enjoying it so far, AND that re-adjusting to early morning workouts is going well. Wow, three years without a job. That would be terrible!! I'm glad you didn't have to endure that.

Wiggie: Excellent workout this morning! When I hit 3 miles, I drop. At least you did more elliptical and other work. ;) Maybe try changing up your run. Like do a "HiiT run or something. I'm just trying to think of something that might help you break through that 3 mile barrier. Yeah, I have been feeling very dehydrated. Off to get a glass of water! :)
