STS BodyRockers - August 2012

Hello Ladies!:)

DS' hamster is at the sitter's (my mom) and we are mostly packed so now it's time for my work out...FINALLY!

TTM in full for the first time - here I come!!!!

BBL to let you know if I survived!!!:p

Good Morning Ladies. :)

Well I completed TTM in full y'day and I'm still here to talk about it!:p I think I had an out of body experience though! It was tough!!!!!!!!!!!! I think it was definitely harder then CRF!

No work out for me today but I am bringing my ipod, 2 sets of clothes and sneakers so I can use the fitness room on the ship. ;)

Gotta shower now so I can finish packing (toiletries). We leave here in about 2 hours!

If I am ready early I will peek back in here before leaving to see if anyone came around....if not, have a great week and "see" y'all next Sunday!!!!:D:D:D

Later!

Hello All!!

Today's (Sunday) workout was Crossfire, then later I did 30 minutes of Step 2 Success & Yoga Meltdown.

Wendy, sorry I missed you, hope you have a wonderful vacation!!

Kris, great workouts, how was the party?

Katie, sorry the BC class disappointed you, did you enjoy your rest day?

Goodnight All!! :)

Good morning!! ;)

I forgot to report Friday, which was a rest day, I had to standby at a football game after work. Saturday's workout was Cardio Strength followed by 20 minutes on the bike that morning, & Pump & Burn that afternoon.

Hi girls!

Gorgeous weather this past weekend. I spent Saturday making 50 quarts of salsa (all homemade and delicious) and re-painting my front door. Here's my weekend workout round-up:

Saturday: Low Impact Challenge
Sunday: Low Max (yowza!)
Monday: Pryamid Upper Body

My upper body is already sore from PUB. Geez.:p;)

Wendy: Have a fantastic cruise!!!!!!! Safe travels!

Wiggie: Nice mix of Crossfire, Step 2 Success and Yoga Meltdown! What a fun combination! Let me guess....are you a teacher? My brother-in-law is a high school ag teacher and he is starting "football duty" soon. My mom is also a teacher but at the middle school level so she gets out of most of that extra stuff (except for school dances...). :)

Hi Bridget! Hi Kris! Hope you both had a wonderful, relaxing weekend.

Hi there ladies,

Saturday I did Timesaver #5 (Legs and abs), Sunday was a rest day, today I did Gym Style Chest and Triceps, my arms were shaking bigtime at the end :eek:

Wendy - hope your cruise is absolutely awesome, I'm sure it will be, can't wait to hear about it! (And congrats on TTM!)

Katie - yum, salsa! I love love salsa! Great job on your workouts this weekend, you got in some goodies!

Wiggie - great workouts for you too! Love the mix you created there! The party was good - didn't do too bad with the eats, small amount of each food. :)

Hope you all have a great afternoon!

Kris

Hi ladies!

This morning I did 1/2 of Bob's Ultimate Cardio Body + 10 minutes of standing ab work and stretching. After work i'm going to go the 30 minute bootcamp class at the YMCA for a little more cardio, leg work, and abs. :)

Kris: Nice workouts this past weekend. GS Chest/Triceps is soooo tough! I find it to be one of Cathe's hardest strength workouts. My chest muscles start trembling about 1/3 of the way through the workout and don't quit until the end!:p;) Homemade salsa is the best! I eat the fire out of it. :D

Hello All!!

Monday's workout was STS W1 D2. It's been a while since I've done it. Really enjoyed it!!

Katie, no I'm not a teacher, I'm a EMT, we standby at games in case of injury.

Kris, good job on GS, I don't have any of those dvds, but I've heard they are tuff stuff!!

Have a great day!! :)

Good morning Ladies!! ;)

Tuesday's workout was To The Max with fitness tabata instead of compound legs, loved it!!

Make it a great one!! :)

Morning!

Whew, Ann (my bootcamp class instructor) kicked my butt yesterday! She had the class do the following: (1) run the "circuit" (which is really just a .25 mile run); (2) plank circuit which consisted of a 4 minute plank hold (1 min rest), 3 min plank hold (1 min rest), 2 min plan hold (1 min rest), and 1 min plank hold (1 min rest); and (3) cardio/weight circuit which consisted of three rounds of all of the following: 40 kettleball swings, 30 squats, 20 pushups, and 10 burpees.

Today I decided to take it a little easier and do Kick, Punch, Crunch. :p;)

Wiggie: Oh shoot! I knew you were an EMT, duh!:eek: Great job with STS D2 and To The Max! I love substituting the fitness tabata for the compound legs. Makes TTM a pure cardio workout (in my opinion at least). I recently did a STS workout and really liked it as well. I forget how much I enjoy STS when I haven't done it in a few months. Speaking of STS, it's almost time to start another STS rotation...i'm thinking maybe October or November.

Hi there!

Today was Gym Styles Back, Shoulders and Biceps - another good one, I don't know why I haven't done these ones more :)

Katie - Wow, that bootcamp sounds like a tough one! Great job, and great job too on KPC!

Wiggie - Great job on STS workout and the TTM premix! I haven't tried that one, will have to check it out - I've done a few of the CF PMs, but not so much TTM.

Thinking of Wendy cruising!

Hope you all have a great evening!

Kris

Hi ladies!

This morning I did Pyramid Lower Body. I matched Cathe's weight during the standing portion and even could have gone heavier on a few exercises. However, I STINK at floor work! I could only do maybe 30 minutes of bootcamp upper body and abs at the gym!

I finally got around to pre-ordering XTrain yesterday. I debated for awhile about ordering but ultimately figured it was worth the discount price to pre-order. I sure do love my Cathe workouts! ;)

Kris: Nice job with Gym Styles! Those are all fabulous workouts. The GS leg workout is a killer. Do you have that one coming up soon? :p;)

Good morning All!! :)

No workout for me, I go to church on Wednesday's so I've decided that will be my rest day. I made sure I ate super clean since I would not be working out!! ;)

Kris good job on GS!!

Katie, matching Cathe again, another petite powerhouse!! :p I didn't preorder, I just have sooo many dvds.

Have a great day Ladies!! :D

Good morning!!

Thursday's workout was Body Rev wk#6 & Kathy Smith's Aerobox workout with Michael Olajide. I did the warmup then jumped rope the rest of the time. I didn't do all the punches. It was fun!!

Have a great day All!! :)

Morning!

Thank goodness it's Friday AND my rest day! I feel like one big DOM right now.:rolleyes::p I guess that's a good thing right? ;)

Wiggie: Nice workout! I love it when people describe workouts as "fun" intead of "tortue sessions" (which is my go-to phrase, lol). I need some of your "clean eating" juju because I suck at clean eating. A "petite powerhouse" - LOVE IT!! I've got to remember that phrase. Last night at the gym the class instructor (who is also a personal trainer) had me using a 45 pound barbell for front shoulder presses. I only got 8 reps but she commented I was going to be surprised how much my "little body" (height wise that is) could lift. I'm going to tell her about your phrase, she'll love it too!

Good morning All!!

I am checking in on a Saturday? Even I have trouble believing that!!:p Friday's workout was STS W1 D3 Legs. I remember when I first did that one, I was so tight on one side I could barely do side slide lunges. Now I can go deep, I'm still not extremely flexible in my hips, but I'v improved greatly.

I'm attending a back to school bash this am(we're standing by), always a lot of fun!!

Katie, hope you enjoyed your rest day!! & DOMS is good!!;)

That's all for now, have a great weekend All!! :D

Good Afternoon Ladies!

We are back and we had a fantastic time!!!! Got home pretty early this morning.

I worked out 3x on the ship...

Monday - ITread 30 mins # 27 Drills
Tuesday - ITread 20 mins # 22 Hilly & Steady plus some legs and abs
Thursday - ITread 30 mins # 21 Run Intervals (20m of it) plus abs and upper body

That's all for now...gonna try to get my arse in gear for a work out of some sort and then for food shopping.

BBL or ITAM!

Happy Sunday girls! :)

Yesterday's workout was Intensity (EEK!) + functional abs. Intensity is one of my favorite Cathe workouts. It's so stinking hard but fun! :) Today's workout was Total Body Trisets: Upper Body. I enjoy the variety in TBT.

We celebrated my nephew's second birthday yesterday evening. I really enjoy making cakes (even though i'm not very good at it, haha) so I made him a tractor cake. Here's what it looked like: Tractor Cake | Muddy Creek Creations I probably ate 1000000 calories from frosting while making the cake, so i'm trying to be "good" today/ :D:eek::rolleyes:

Wiggie: LOL! Your message cracked me up. :p Yay for improvements!! It always helps to fuel your body/mind workouts when you can readily do things now that you couldn't do before. :) Hope you had a great time at the back-to-school bash (and you weren't needed). ;)

Wendy: Welcome back!!!!!!! We missed you around here. :) So glad to hear you had a wonderful time. Nice job getting in those workouts, i'm impressed! ;) I finally got YogaWorks: Slim (I think that's the name, lol) from Netflix. I'm previewing it as I type this message and it looks great (very intense). I think i'm going to re-work this week's workout schedule so I can give it a shot. :D

Kris: I hope you are having a wonderful, relaxing weekend!

Good Morning Ladies. :)

Well, my day y'day didn't go according to plan. I had trouble just staying awake so food shopping was NOT happening! As for my work out - 30 mins of Yoga X was all I could muster! Felt good after not doing yoga (and barely stretching!) all week but I was hoping for a bit more of a calorie torcher TBH! :p

Not sure what w/o I'll do today. Trying to decide what type of "rotation" to do...start a new one or continue w/what I was doing before I left? Decisions...decisions!:p

Vacation was a blast! I know this b/c I gained 4.5# this week..probably mostly from alcohol consumption!:p:D I am armed and ready to fight back though. I powered up WW after quite some time of not using it, I have new batteries in my food scale (it stopped working WEEKS ago and only replaced the batteries the day before we left!) and I am going food shopping this morning to re-stock the house with healthy food! Hopefully it will only take a couple weeks to get back down to where I was before leaving....Fingers crossed! :)

Katie:: Funny you should mention doing Intensity. I have been looking at the dvd for weeks now thinkng I should do it but have yet to actually go through with it! :p LOL That tractor cake looks cool! I would have rather seen the pic of the one that YOU made though! I'm sure it was great! :) My sister loves to make cakes like that for her kids b'days! Can't wait to hear what you think of the Yoga Works dvd. I think it's great!

Wiggie:: Great job with STS Legs. Those work outs can be killer! So have you been doing yoga while I was gone?? Ever try Fat Free??

Kris:: GS is a great series...Now you have me considering a one body part per day rotation...Thanks for the idea!!! :)

Hi Bridget!

Guess that's all for now...BBL!

Good morning All!!

Saturday’s workout was Fire 60 & Sunday’s workout was STS W1 D4. I started STS as a way to train for the mud run, no I haven’t chickened out yet!! :p

Wendy, glad you’re back & had a ball!! :D No worries about that small gain, you’ll burn that off quickly. You’re supposed to have fun & eat what you want, drink what you want & do what you want when you’re on vacation. I mean, how often do cruises happen? If I ever go on one I will definitely not be counting points. You got in some great workouts, way to go!! ;) & no I haven’t been doing yoga since you left, I guess I need you to remind me.:p I have done Fat Free Yoga & loved it. After STS Legs I actually had a little DOMS, which I rarely get.

Katie, you must have given me good luck because we weren’t needed, yay for easy overtime!! :p I’m glad you mentioned Intensity, I might do that today.

Hi Kris!!

Hi Bridget!!

Have a great day All!!;)
