STS Body Rockers - Week of November 13th

Day 5 of Rotation

Today's workout was
Meso 1 Week 1 STS Back & Triceps. I really liked the moves, but I need to work on those band moves. I know I could go up on the dumbbell weights, but the tricep bandwork feels weird to me.

So I've done the first week of STS and I do feel great. My hammies are sore from the deadlifts in the Legs disc on Sunday.

Hello Everyone!!

Today's (Tues) workout was AB. This is my fourth time doing AB but first time doing the entire workout. I've always done a premix. Wow!! I found it to be very challenging, there were a few times I had to pause so the burning sensation could ease up. No add ons tonight!!

Katie, I didn't do all three workouts back to back they were spaced out during the day. The new series does have a lower body emphasis, I need that, that's one of the reasons I love it!!!

Wendy, I always try to do extra on the weekends to make up for sometimes not having time during the week because of work. I am going to have to try the bonus step on CSS, I haven't looked at that yet. Unlike Kiki, I love step!! Kudos to you for not letting your problems derail your workout schedule!!! I really hope things get better for you soon!!!!

Kiki, glad your doms is better, if I lifted as heavy as you I probably wouldn't be able to move for a week!! Let's try CSS bonus step this weekend, You might like it, anything's possible right?

Erin, feel free to "ramble" anytime!!

Terina, I really enjoyed AT, & that first section had my thighs on fire!! You live in Hawaii, I am so jealous!!

Bridget, even through the stress you still managed to spin, way to go!!

Hello Kris & Lesia!!

Barb, where are you?

Good night All!!

Hi ladies!

This morning's workout was 4DS: Kickbox Cardio + Abs. Short, sweet, and to the point. Loved it!

Wiggie: Great job with AfterBurn! It is one tough workout. :)

Lesia: Yay! STS week one = check! ;) It feels great to get the first week under your belt doesn't it? The bandwork can be a little tricky, especially if you aren't used to working with a band (it tooks me months to really get comfortable with the band). Hang in there, you'll get it!

Wendy: Girl you grab AB by the horns and kick its butt! :p You'll be fine I promise. :) Speaking of butt kicking workouts, have you done an insanity rotation before? If so, what do think of those workouts? I'm considering adding it to my "workout wish list" which by the way is getting waaaay long!

Erin: Ramble away! I love rambling posts, really I do. In the process of coming up with my December rotation I looked through a bunch of Cathe's slightly older rotations and found quite a few the included STS. Here a few: http://cathe.com/forum/f100/oct-09-rotation-268489/ http://cathe.com/forum/f100/june-09-rotation-263723/You might consider one of them when you get done with your current STS rotation (if you are wanting to continue with STS). That way you can still incorporate/use your STS workouts without starting another full rotation. Just another way to change it up and shock your body. ;)

quick hello! just finished wipping up egg muffins for the week breakfast:p I am about to head in to my first leg work out of meso 2. Only thing thats kind of messing with me is the adjustments to weights. I have to tape on some weights on my 15lbs to get to 18/19 lbs... so its just a pain. other than that i am sure it will be bfab..k off to train like an athlete=)

Hello Ladies.

No work out for me this morning. Rest day for me.

Rest of day has gone to he!!. Not a happy camper. :(

I'll be back tmrw hopefully with a work out to report and in a better frame of mind...

BFN~

Hey Ladies...Decided to come back and do personals despite the cr@ppy day I'm having....

Wiggie:: The bonus step in CSS is not an actual step routine. It's still the same idea as the rest of CSS but every move uses the step. Yeah, the shorter w/o's are helping me stay on track with w/o's even in these tough times. If I had to work out for an hour every morning it soooo would not be happening!

Katie:: Yeup I sure did do an Insanity rotation!!! I loved it! It kicked my butt and I lost about 5# w/o really watching my diet any closer then I already had been! Ofcourse I gained the weight back once the Insanity rotation was over but that was my own fault. Prior to WW it was the last thing that helped me lose weight and that was a couple years ago already.

Erin:: M2 legs are no joke!!! Enjoy!;)

Day 6 of STS/LIS Rotation! I was going to take a rest day but LIC called my name. I got the warmup and the first 3 combos but I didn't even try the 4th.

I chaptered to the Lower Body Blast and then stretch. Boy, did I sweat! I might be off my rocker here, but I really wished that Cathe would have done a step workout with just step drills. I can get her choreography, but I'm just of the Cardio Supersets, Athletic Training, and AfterBurn type of training right now. I love her step workouts, but I think right now I just prefer drills during this rotation. I gotta think about it.

Maybe I'll just do CS, AT, AB workouts with the premixes.

Have a great evening, ladies.
Lesia

Hi there ladies,

Have been offline for a few days again, sounds like you all are getting in some great workouts! Work has been crazy...

Monday was an unplanned rest day, Tuesday was Athletic Step (was supposed to be LIC per the rotation, but I just couldn't bear the choreo failure - we'll see when I attempt that one again), today was CSS - love that one, got a good sweat in the 40 minutes:) (I still have to try the step bonus - see how I do with that one -:confused: )

I'll be back tomorrow to catch up on the personals - but hi Erin, Lesia, Kiki, Wendy, Bridget, Terina, Katie, Wiggie and Barb!)

Have a great night everyone,
Kris

Hey girls. Spent ALL day yesterday running errands (taking DS to get sports physical, taking one car in to the dealership for maintenance, and the other across town to get state inspection, as well as a zillion other things on the "to-do" list in prep for company coming in next week for Thanksgiving. Boy did I eat like crap, and was SO tired this AM. Feels like I'll probably being playing catch-up all day today, seeing as all of yesterday's events were unplanned  . DH had an unexpected day off from work, and felt relegated to accomplishing all that he could possibly do in a single day (that's where the car stuff came in), and then the errands that I needed to do got combined w/his, and it was madness, to say the least...

I was able to sneak in a quickie cardio, so I decided on the Leg Express Cardio premix of AT. It was a nice quick burn, and helped me to at least feel like I didn't let the entire day spin outta control. ;)

Wendy: Hope today is looking up for you. :) Looks like you got in another good full body burn ;) Got any newbies from your LIS collection that you'll be trying out this weekend? Or have you done them all yet? I still got a couple I need to work in here soon...

Lesia: Sounds like the STS/LIS rotation is treating you well over there ;). Are you doing it as written (for a one month rotation), or are you following each week as your monthly rotation for that particular Meso (i.e. Week 1 = Meso/month 1, wk 2 = M2, etc., totaling a traditional 3 month rotation)?

Kris: Sounds like you're starting to enter the busy time of year ;) Is DH still home? I feel you on the LIC Choreo failure, lol. At least you traded it for a goodie :p How are your legs treating you w/this series?

Erin: Thanks for the review on the Beef Stew, that's been on my "to-make" list from CE (you're talking about the latest issue, right?) I bought the meat to make it last week, but that's when I was all crampy, headach-y, etc, and dinner was left to DH, who used the meat to make some other concoction he decided to whip up  .....Oh well, at least we ate, right? (and it was better than him buying some fast food ;) ) Are the egg muffins the ones that were in a recent O2 mag? I seem to remember bookmarking a recipe for those somewhere.... How'd ya like those tri-sets?

Katie: Yay for short cardio yesterday! We must have been on the same page, lol.

Wiggie: Great job making through an entire AB wo! I still haven't done it, so...much respect  I might have to take a minute to consider the CSS step wo  , I mean, 2 step wo's in one month?! You people are trying to kill me! Is that one a quick one? I still haven't even tried CSS  , so I have no idea what that one is about...

Mornin' ladies!

Today I did a mini TBT mish-mosh which looked something like this: UB warm-up, UB tri-sets (all of them), 1 round of each LB tri-set, and LB cool-down. Essentially I made my own total body premix that clocked in around 71 minutes. I wanted to focus more on my upper body which is why I did the entire TBT UB workout but a modified version of the TBT LB workout.

Kiki: Whew i'm exhausted just reading about all the errands you ran yesterday! :p I bet it feels nice though to have everything done! Nice job sneaking in the AT premix. ;) AT is a killer!

Wendy: Aw darlin' i'm sorry to hear you are still having a rough time! Here's hoping things get better soon! Nice BR workout this morning!! Okay, i'm definitely adding Insanity to my wish list now. When I first previewed the workouts I thought, "this dude is nuts" but now i'm starting to feel a little crazy myself so I may give the workouts a shot. :p

Kris: Great workouts little lady! :) The step bonus in CSS isn't bad at all! It is all drills (no coreography) so I don't think you'll have any problems with it. :)

Lucy: Great job with LIC. I must admit i've been loving that workout lately! The 4th combo is tricky tricky tricky but lots of fun once you get the footwork down. I completely understand what you mean, though, about wanting more drill type workouts. I tend to go through phases: lots of step/coreography workouts and then more drill/athletic workouts.

Erin: Mmmmmm, egg muffins sound delicious! Good luck with your first meso 2 leg workout (those all my favs from the entire STS series ;) ). You're going to do great!

Katie

Good Morning? Afternoon? It's a toss up at this point! LOL

Well the morning was for sh*t for a while but I am feeling a bit better now. Hopefully the rest of the day goes ok....

Kiki:: Wow, I hate taking on so many errands at once. I rarely ever string more then 2 or 3 things together. I'd rather spend 2 days to get them done. I still have to try Tri Sets L/B and it's on tap for tmrw assuming BR didn't fry my legs! I'm pretty sure ANY of the AB work out options will burn! ;)

Katie:: Nice mish mosh! I see I've taught you well! ;) If you like uber tough cardio and body weight exercises then you will love to hate Insanity! LOL Go for it! :D If you want I can loan you my set as a try before you buy type of thing. I'm not using it right now anyway. Up to you. Just let me know. Ofcourse, who knows when I'll get to the post office with it! :p:D

Guess that's all for now...BBL!

kiki stew was sooooo good! THe muffins were just something i whipped up. Took recipe from turn overs and poored into muffin tins=)
katie my legs are so tired! But my stupid knee is achy=(Love your mish mosh!
kris busy huh? hi anyway;)
wendy hope your having a good one=)
HI everyone else:D
so this am was spin and abs. My legs are a mess lol hurts to walk up and down the stairs lol. love the work outs and so happy there are really working me out. I think i am going to have to start thinking about take the work outs to the gym soon. Really dont want to buy anymore weights. I am running out of room here. ok have a good one ladies'

Erin:: Have you considered adding adjustable weights to your home collection to keep from having to add on multiple sets of db's? It's a heaftier investment at first but will pay off in the end b/c the heavier the db the heavier the cost!

Lesia:: LOL, yeah that 4th combo is a doozy! I think I just stood there with my mouth hanging open and my eyeballs popping out of my head watching it. I don't think I actually tried it either yet. :p

Kris:: Oh how I know about unplanned rest days at this point! Come on, do LIS with me this weekend! We can learn together! ;)

hello ladies!!!!
Checking in for yesterday. I did turbo barre and loved it!!!!! I like the difference in each workout. Tuesday was a schedule rest day,and for today I still got to get it done. really enjoying this months rotation.

Good Morning and TGIF Ladies!

Well, I am happy to report that I feeling much better this morning then I was y'day! Let's hope it stays that way! *knock on wood*

Legs are a bit sore from y'day's BR. Was going to give Lower Body TriSets a shot if I didn't have DOMS but since I do I opted for cardio...HiiT DWP...um...what was I thinking!?!?!?:eek::eek: LOL :p Almost freakin' killed me I tell you! WOW!

So tmrw is LB TS for sure! Can't wait! Then Sunday will be LIS LIC because practice makes perfect...even for combo 4!!!;)

Terina:: Awesome w/o's the past couple of days! Yup, Turbo Barre is fantastically painful! ;) I considered doing cardio only from Slide and Glide this morning. Why o why did I change my mind?? :p
