Hello Ladies.

Super late check in for me. I should have been in bed an hour ago. :confused:

Today's work out didn't get done til after dinner which is a rarity for me anymore. I would have considered skipping it but I just took and unscheduled rest day on Friday so I couldn't let that happen! :eek:

My work out was as follows:

BR- Haters work out using 8# med ball and high step in place of UGI.
MMA Kickboxing-1st 2 combos wearing weighted gloves.
B&G-Ankle Weight Work (2# weights)
Criss Cross Cardio-Standing obliques holding 3# db's

Not sure what tmrw will bring....

Finally getting a UGI ball! So excited!!!! I posted about not being able to justify the cost on FB and within a couple hours DH saw my post and ordered it for me!!! I never expected it!!! :D:D:D:D

K, off to bed with me before I am unhappy in the morning....

Hi everyone~

I'm checking in late today. DH was up most of the night with a migrane so I let him sleep in until 9:00 this morning before coming to work (we ride together). This morning I did GS: Back, Biceps, and Shoulders. My upper body is still sore from PUB on Saturday (especially my chest) so that hindered me slightly but overall I loved the workout.

Yesterday I put on my "brave" hat and decided to give Intensity another go (the whole thing this time). I got a 1 to 1 and a 1/2 minute unexpected break about 3/4 of the way through due to a power blip. I seriously think it was a gift from above because I was praying for air and begging for mercy! :p

Wendy: Thanks for getting us started for the week! I love your mish-mosh from yesterday! I'm writing that one day for future use. :) YAY on getting a UGI ball!!!! I can't wait to hear what you think about it! It looks like such a fun piece of equipment. What a sweet DH you've got over there. ;)

Kris: I just realized I never answered your question from last week re: Cathe's forearm exercises. Candidly, I only did the exercises maybe 3-4 times and I focused mainly on the bottom of my forearms. I do think the exercises helped some. More than anything, though, after approx. 2 weeks I think my forearms just adjusted to the heavier weights. I'm no longer noticing my forearms during upper body lifting (well, the really heavy weights still get me some :eek: ).

Hi ladies,

I had a rest day yesterday - it was good because of my seriously DOMmed legs and butt from B&G Saturday :eek: This a.m. I did STS Total Body for the first time - whew, great workout! I also did Hiit pyramid this a.m. :)

Katie - Great job with Intensity! I may do that one tomorrow:) After tomorrow, I'll probably not be doing any kind of formal exercise until next Tuesday, due to family coming in (staying in the room where I exercise) and then going on our vacation in Big Bear.

Wendy - Great workouts for you again - awesome job. Great job getting the workout in later in the day, I'm the same, if it's not done in the a.m. it's hard to get done later. Way to push through and get it done.

This morning I did BM2 timesaver cardio premix + abs. While the cardio premix was rather short (43 minutes total) I still worked up a great sweat! :) Except for Low Max, i've done all my "dreaded" workouts in the past 2 weeks: CCC, BM2, Intensity, and B&G. :rolleyes: Success! :p

Kris: Good luck with Intensity today! You're going to do great. It's one of my "go out with a bang" workouts too. ;) :p I haven't done STS Total Body in, well, forever! I'm going to squeeze that one in soon. I hope you have a wonderful time at Big Bear!!!!! It sounds like a fun place to visit!

This morning's work out was originally going to be S90 Legs BUT I got a sudden and quite severe onset of back DOMS last night that was still with me this morning and all of that weight work just didn't sound comfortable considering so...lucky for me one of the new BR work outs that I hadn't tried was dumbbell free and lower body focused so that's what I did!

It's called the Hands Free work out and it went like this: 20 rounds of 10s rest and 50 s work (max reps). Circuit below done 2 time through....

1. Low Jacks2. Get Ups3. Low Jacks4. Ugi Bridge (left)5. Ugi Bridge (right) – 6. Low Jacks – 7. Flying Jump Lunge8. Low Jacks9. Ugi Leg Lift10. Low Jacks

Katie:: Awesome job getting the dreaded work outs done! When does Low Max happen?? Glad you liked my mish mosh. Let me know how it goes once you try it out!

Kris:: STS TB is one of my all time fave Cathe full body work outs! Love love love it! Glad you liked it too!
 
Hi there everyone,

I did Intensity Double Hiit/Bootcamp premix this a.m. - hadn't tried the bootcamp part before, so wanted to give it a try. :) Have some DOMS in my shoulders and legs today - yay:)

Wendy - forgot to say congrats on getting the UGI - how awesome that your dh did that for you:) Very cool. Your BR workout sounds like a good one.

Katie - Great job getting BM2 off your list:) Thanks for the fun vacation wishes:)

Hello! Today I did Gym Styles: Chest and Triceps. Whew. That one was exhausting!

Kris: What did you think of the Intensity Bootcamp add on? I tried it once before and recall not caring for it - I THINK that's was because my hear trate was sky high and I couldn't concentrate on the lifting portion. Maybe I should give it another go....

Wendy: How are the back DOMS today? Any better? I don't like lifting when i've got DOMS either - totally understand! :) Ya know, I don't think i've ever had Back DOMS! Huh, wonder why that is? Yeah I need to schedule Low Max. I'll, err, get right on that! :D So has you UGI arrived yet?!?!?

Today's work out was 3 drills from Breathless Body and 500 reps of jump rope. Short but kick ass! :D

Forgive my absence this week, I went to spinning class Monday and today, but totally blew off STS on Tuesday morning. I'm not sure why, I didn't have DOMS or TOM or any natural disasters outside, I didn't sleep in, I just chose not to get up and exercise. Very strange, perhaps a bit of STS fatigue, I will be starting my second to last week tomorrow, and will be a bit lopsided, will just pick up where I left off.

WW today, lost 1.2lbs this week, and I feel very good about it. Not seeing massive amounts of weight loss, but my clothes are fitting differently, DH is noticing :)

Wendy- Breathless Body?? too much! What is UGI bridge?

Kris- Intensity?!?! That kicked my dupa the first time I tried it, I would love to be able to master that one someday.

Katie- I think we share the same dread workouts- I don't have CCC, but definitely dread B&G, and now Intensity. I like both Body Max 1 & 2, perhaps because the intervals break it up enough that I don't realize they are 90 minutes long! Enjoy your vacation

No workout for me yesterday, likely not much today either, though I may get a little something in this a.m. - but no dvd. Headed out for California tomorrow:) I'll be back Monday, probably won't be able to check in after today - hope you all have a great weekend!

Hi Katie- Great job on Gym Styles - I've got to do that one again sometime soon. I liked the boot camp portion of Intensity:) Not sure I would have liked it so much if I'd done the workout after doing all of Intensity :eek: - adding it after the Double hiit was ok though :eek:

Hi Wendy - great workout you got in there - I really admire the way you get those done!

Hi Bridget - I know what you mean about just not exercising, without apparent reason, your body maybe just wanted a rest day:) Great job getting back into it with spinning yesterday and Woohoo on the weight loss!

Good morning!

I rounded out my "gym styles" marathon with GS Legs. This was my first time doing the workout, which came as a surprise to me too! I thought I had done it before. :rolleyes: I really liked the workout but was having an "off" day lifting. I matched most of Cathe's weights but found myself often stopping early or skipping reps. :eek: I'm hoping to give this one another shot in the near future!

Wendy: What's Breathless Body? I've never heard of it. Learn something new every day! :) After 500 reps of jumping rope i'd sure be breathless! :D :p

Bridget: I was starting to wonder if you took another vacation. ;) I think it's a good thing that you listened to your body and took a rest day. I wish I had done that this morning. :eek: Congrats on the weight loss! I experienced the same thing with STS - slow weight loss but changes in body shape, fit of clothes, etc.

Kris: Have a fantabulous vacation!!!!! Enjoy the rest and relaxation, and time with your family! We will have some kick butt workouts waiting for you when you get back. ;)
 
Hey girls!

Popping in to say hi! It's still been mostly upper body madness for me, w/ GS and S90. Although I did "attempt" to play a game of volleyball at our church picnic on Saturday (which is pretty hard to do w/o jumping, using your ankle for lateral movement, etc :confused: ), I say "attempt" because I was pretty much serving the ball almost nonstop, lol. I have to admit to having a heck of a a serve (if I do say so myself :eek: ) so every time it was my turn to serve, I'd go for like 10-15 points! Of course, my teammates loved it, but...wouldn't you know it, I gave my wrist a pretty good beating, and it was swollen to twice the size of the left one by the end of the night! :rolleyes: Sheesh! I can't win for losing! :mad:

The bittersweet moment came, when I was icing my wrist/forearm, and contemplating how in the world I would work out w/no hands OR feet :rolleyes: , and DH announces "surprise! we're going to Puerto Rico!" (to celebrate our anniversary that Irene dumped on) :eek: So he has booked this wonderful vacation for us at the Ritz Cartlon in San Juan and all these "active" things that he knows I'd love (horseback riding, hiking, etc), and we leave in less than a week (Tuesday!). It's so totally sweet, and I'm really excited about going, but feel kinda bummed that I can't "get it together" by then as far as w/o's and such, KWIM? Ya'll know how it is...:rolleyes:

**Sigh*** well, just figured I'd rant to ya'll, because you'd understand my mixed emotions as far as the fitness level goes, but I figure, on the bright side, as well as undivided time w/my honey ;) it seems like they have some awesome spa packages, that I may have no choice but to take advantage of....:p Plus it could be worse...he could have booked it on my crampy, bloated, migraine, TOM week :rolleyes: ...

ETA: Wendy, this happened right after you posted about your DH surprising you after seeing your FB post. I was contemplating on how sweet that was of him and never got to post (although I probably would have said something along the lines of how long it's been since my DH did something like that, lol :eek: ), and low and behold, I got a little surprise, too! Must be something in the air ;)

Ok, everybody not going on a fabulous vacation, raise your hands! DH wouldn't know how to surprise me with serving like that, tho I would love to make an impromptu trip to Jamaica, or even Disney.

STS 31 this morning, loved it- real heavy, 6 reps- why did I blow this off before?

Spinning tomorrow. Let's see who remains!

This morning's work out was Wicked Things BR work out, KCM TLC Cardio Express Premix and my own weighted ab routine using an 8# med ball.

Katie:: Yes the back DOMS are gone. Thank goodness! Breathless Body is an Amy Dixon tabata work out. KILLER!!!!:eek: Oh and btw, 500 reps of jump rope is faaar easier then BB...I might be crazy but I'm still human!:p Nope, no UGI yet. I think it's back ordered...says it'll ship in a couple of weeks. Booh but I'm not complaining!;)

Bridget:: I was tempted to skip M3 when I did STS as well but I loved it too! So glad I decided to stick with it!

Kiki:: Wow! DH scores mucho brownie points for this one ey? ;) LOL A surprise trip to Puerto Rico squashes my UGI ball surprise any day!!!! His ears must've been burning after you read about the UGI surprise. :p

Kris:: Nice work out! I have DOMS in my legs as well. They've been a little sore for a couple of days now...good stuff considering I am trying to focus on lower body a bit more right now! Thanks re the UGI! I'm super excited! I'm getting the kit with the work out dvd, etc in it. Not just the ball itself so I'll have even more to play with! :D

Bridget:: I preview it on my pc as I write down the work out (you can print it too but I don't have a working printer at home currently :rolleyes:) and then follow it on paper in my w/o room. I have brought the pc into the room with me for more complicated work outs with moves I am not sure of but only did that a couple of times. The vids she provides are meant to be an example of what the work out looks like(shortened version-only a couple reps of each exercise) + a tutorial on how to perform the moves. The vids are not the work outs in full like what Cathe does.
 
Good Morning.

I've decided to follow Zuzanna's BR w/o schedule. Our rest days will be different but I am going to do the w/o's she posts that she is doing starting with today's...the 60 get up exercise challenge. I will also add some cardio to it. Considering BR's interval cardio but that could change at any time!:p

Tmrw is Zuzanna's rest day so I will do a kettlebell work out.

Monday is my rest day so I will do her Monday work out on Tuesday and follow along from there with add ons of my own as I see fit.

Anyone want to do it with me? :cool:
 
Plyo legs this morning. They say that whatever workout you like the least is what you need the most. I must need them! I comfort myself in knowing that today is second to the last plyo leg day of STS. Where are the one minute rest periods? Where are the 8 reps?

Tomorrow is a rest day for me. Have a great weekend!
