STS Body Rockers week of 9/18 :)

My work out is done!

I did the get up challenge and followed it up with about 20 mins of cardio from Circuit Burn by KCM. Good stuff!

I used a kettlebell in place of a sandbag for the get ups since I first saw the get up done in kb work outs. Initially I was holding the bell in the clean position but then remembered that it's traditionally done with the arm extended straight up from your shoulder when you are lying down and it goes overhead as you stand. Tough little work out. I used a 15# KB for most of it but dropped to a 10#'er for about 10 of the reps. I also had to alternate sides every 10 reps. My arm holding the bell couldn't handle 30 reps on one side non stop. OUCH!

Bridget:: Good job with Plyo! I know right!?!? PL goes against every "rule" of every other M3 work out! LOL You know our Cathe though! Loves to shock that body! ;)

Hi ladies!

No workout for me yesterday. It was an enjoyable rest day. :)

Today I did Step Blast + AC: stability ball abs. SB got buried in my stack of Cathe workouts and i'm so glad I dug it out because it is such a gem. :cool: It always gets me though. The first 15 minutes or so i'm thinking "this isn't bad at all" and then those last 2 blasts i'm huffin and puffin! :eek: :rolleyes:

Wendy: Ohhh the "get up challenge" definitely sounds like it deserves a YOWZA! :p Way to go bodyrocker Wendy! ;) I keep thinking I want to try some Bodyrock workouts because, let's face it, just LOOKING at Zuzanna makes me wanna get up and get moving! :p I definitely have to get a timer and maybe a kettleball first though. Plus I can't view the workouts on my work computer (damn state government blocking websites) and honestly after staring at a computer all day I usually am unwilling to fire up my computer at home in the evenings. I'm not ruling it out though in the future!

Bridget: Those plyo leg workouts are something else for sure!!! Way to push through them girlie. Your body will be thanking you tomorrow. ;) My football teams, well, honestly every single one stinks this year. :confused: It's so depressing!!!! :( BIG SIGH! Oh well, there's always next year! Enjoy the rest of your weekend and your rest day!

Kiki: Yay so glad to hear from you! My DH loves volleyball and plays every Tuesday evening. He often comes home with sore wrists and skinned knees. :rolleyes: That's sooo sweet of your hubby to surprise you with a vacation! I'm so sorry your bummed about your wrist and achilles though. :confused: You poor thing! The spa packages do look veryyyy nice. :) Maybe a little TLC will help your body heal. BTW, can you and Wendy send a little of that "suprise your wife with a gift" air my way? I think my DH missed that lesson during "husband" school. :rolleyes: :p
