STS Body Rockers - November 2012

Good Morning Girls! :)

Guess everyone is having a busy weekend!

On Friday I did Insanity: Plyometric Cardio Circuit.

Y'day was High Reps: Upper Body Only + MMA: Boxing and then went out country dancing last night! I am soooo sore this morning!

Not sure what's on tap for today. Thinking cardio and yoga sounds good!

Guess that's all for now. BBL or tmrw!

Hi ladies!!

I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving! Mine was great. For once I didn't eat an insane amount of food, lol! Though I did sample 3-4 different deserts. Yum!!:D

I somehow managed to strain my lower back last week so on Thursday I did Slow and Heavy: Shoulders + Abs, Friday I rested, and Saturday I did GS: Standing Legs only + S&H: Biceps and Triceps. I've been doing a lot of lifting lately and kinda neglecting cardio...but that's okay. I'm eating all this food so I might as well use it to build a little muscle. ;) I skipped today's workout. I just wasn't feeling it.

Wendy: How was your Thanksgiving? Wow, reading about your workouts + dancing fun is making me tired. Yay for country dancing! I love country dancing (I am a Kentucky girl ;)). and yay for soreness!! My lower body has been super sore today. I feel like an old lady limping around. LOL!

Good morning All!!

We were at a cabin for Thanksgiving so no internet. My family came over it was great, we all had a good time.

My workouts were as follows:

Wed: rest
Thur: Shed & Shred both workouts(90 min)
Fri: Fire 30 plus squats,lunges & dips
Sat: Fire 30, 40 min walk
Sun: Burn Intervals, HIIT 20 I really feel the band work in my thighs, I even have slight doms from it. I wasn't sure where the doms was coming from until I did BI Sunday.

I plan to take a walk during lunch today.

Katie: So glad you had a wonderful TG & you didn't overeat!! Wish I could say the same!!
Thank goodness, I only have to weigh in once a month! :p Sorry to hear about your back :(, be sure to take care of it, those weights will be right there waiting on you once you're better. Did you get that XBox bundle?

Wendy: You went out dancing, what a fun way to mix things up!! Sounds like fun!! Hope your TG was great as well!! Re SS Express, I like them but I have to tweak them to make them harder, they are easy as is. I have got to get in some yoga, I always get slack with that.

Have a great day!! ;)

Morning! It's Monday. Ugh. Mondays after a long weekend are the WORST!!

Today's workout was Rythmic Step. I was soooooo tiiirrrreeeddd this morning, but I gave it my best (well, my "Monday Morning Best").

I can't decide what workout rotation I want to do next. I'm itching to start STS, but I know XTrain will be coming out soon, and I want to do that as well. Oh the decisions! Any thoughts??

Wiggie: Wow, you get in some extra-fabulous workouts over the Thanksgiving holidays. WTG! I wish I had a cabin to visit during the holidays and on weekends. I love cabins (especially one in the woods near a lake, lol). It sounds like you had a great time. :) Yep, got the Xbox bundle. It was a nightmare getting it, but oh so worth it in the end. I know DH is going to love it! Plus, I got the kinetc for 1/2 price (thank you Amazon for your lightening deals) to go with the Xbox. Score!

Hey Ladies!:)

By the time I was able to work out last night I was so tired and sore that I was lucky I mustered up the energy for the yoga work out I did (Kundalini Warrior Work Out). I felt better after so it was worth it but no cardio for me even though I probably need it!

Katie:: Nice work outs for a gal with a sore back!!! You go woman! So I saw a news clip about folks with tents pitched outside of Best Buy in Kentucky. Would one of them be you Miss Black Friday XBox shopper? ;) My Thanksgiving was good. I stuffed my pie hole with pie and lots of other stuff as expected! :p I was giving some consideration to doing a slightly modified version of Cathe's Low Impact Series Rotation. Would you care to join me? :)

Wiggie:: Sounds like you had a fabulous holiday! Nice work outs to burn off all of the good eats as well! I better hear about you getting in some yoga soon, missy!!!!!;)

Good morning!!

I went for a walk(30 min) during lunch Monday as planned, when I got home I did Cardio Supersets after dinner. I got home late so I needed a short workout.

Wendy: I am interested in doing a rotation with you, I need to know it at least a week at a time since I workout in the evenings. Maybe that will make me do yoga if I know you will be doing it also. :p Tired & sore & still worked out? No wonder you're becoming a personal trainer, you're a natural!!

Katie: Rythmic step that early in the morning? Maybe you should moonlight as a personal trainer also!:p So glad you shopped on black Friday & made it home unharmed. Those shoppers get crazy sometimes!!

Have a wonderful day!! :)

Good Morning Ladies. :)

It's dreary dark rainy and cold here today. The rain is supposed to change to snow later. Oh joy. Thankfully the accumulation won't be much...

The pain of Afterburn hasn't kicked in (yet) and my u/b doms has finally subsided so for now I am not whimpering in pain with every move I make so far this morning... :p

Tonight's work out will be yoga or cardio depending on my energy level. DS has wrestling practice tonight so by the time I am able to work out, IDK how much oomph I will have.

Wiggie:: I started the 5 day version of the Low Impact Series rotation y'day. I chose that one so that I have 2 days to play with for yoga and/or extra cardio or total rest. Feel free to join me if you'd like! :) I will be modifying along the way due to my limited access to equipment right now, time allowed or just my mood. :p LOL You game? ;) Good job on your work outs! Cardio Supersets is a goody! I hope it comes up in the rotation soon! I haven't done it in a while! Thank you so much but really-I'm no natural...I'm just nuts! ;):p:D

BBL!

Hi girlies!!

Today's workout was S&H: Chest and Back. Only one more S&G workout left in my mini-rotation. Though i've really enjoyed the S&H workouts i'm soooo ready for a change!!!

Wendy: Afterburn = KILLER! :p;) Nice job! I hear ya on the DOMS. My calves (yes, calves) are still hurting from Saturday's leg workout, and I swear I already have back DOMS after this morning's workout. :D:eek::rolleyes: Craziness!! I think i'm going to pass on the LIS rotation. I'm kind of in the mood for more heavy lifting. Would you totally hate me if I went ahead and started STS?? :D:eek::p;)

Wiggie: LOL! I normally try to avoid complicated step routines when I workout in the A.M. because I usually end up missing half the workout in my sleep-deprived state...but yesterday I was just needing a little Rhythmic Step in my life. :p;) Great job with your walk and CSS. I didn't care for CSS when the LIS first came out, but now I really enjoy it. It's perfect when I need a shorter yet still challenging workout. OMG, the black friday shoppers were totally insane!!! I won't be repeating that experience for a loooong time (hopefully, lol).

Katie:: Oooh calf doms is a tough one! Better you then me! :p I've actually almost fallen over in the middle of the night trying to get out of bed to pee with really sore/stiff calf muscles! LOL Nope, I won't hate ya for forging ahead with STS without me. I probably wouldn't see the rotation all the way through anyway! I've actually been on the fence about selling it but would have given it one more shot with you if I was home with access to my equipment. Oh well. So much for that!

Good Evening Ladies. :)
Checking in from phone right before going to sleep.Tonight's work out was BBL Bum Bum plus 40 mins of Kundalini yoga from the Cardio Stretch & Strengthen dvd. Good stuff. Bum Bum was a definite reminder of the fact that I did After Burn lady night! Yeowch! Lol Ok thats all for now. BBT!;)

Morning!

I couldn't decide what workout to do this morning, so I just went with Susan Chung's RapidFire Results. Solid workout! My calves are still killing me which made jumping a little difficult. I mean seriously...FOUR days of DOMS in my calves is enough. Geesh! :p;)

Wendy: Butt burning I see. :D:p;) What's BBL stand for? Awww, I feel so guilty starting STS without you. :( If you want to do a rotation together I will definitely wait for you!!

Katie:: Nice job doing that work out on sore calves this morning! 4 days of doms sounds like more then enough! Tell it to go away! :p Don't feel guilty! Go for it! I will keep STS atleast until I give it one more go with you after I get back home (could be a while yet!), I promise!:) And who knows, maybe I will end up changing my mind about selling it at all!

Good morning!!

No workout Tuesday, I had a girls basketball game. Wednesday's was STS Total Body. I went heavy(sort of), I was being extra careful since I haven't done this one in a while. I am feeling it in my butt & hamstrings. Not in pain just can feel that those muscles were really worked. As you can see I've already abandoned my CLX rotation, my A.D.D. is really kicking in!! :p I just can't stick to any rotation except STS & that's because I make my own choices for four of the days per week. :D

Katie: I like Susan Chung because she uses the heavy bag a lot. I don't think I have the same workout you have though.

Wendy: So do you like Brazillian Butt Lift? Is it worth purchasing or could I get just as good a workout from some of Cathe's Lower body dvds? Have you ever heard of Butt Bible?

Have a great day Ladies!!

Good Morning! :)

It was Cardio Super Sets for me last night. Tonight calls for Low Impact Challenge but I don't have my step where I am staying so that isn't happening. Not sure if I will call it a rest day, pick another cardio (maybe kickboxing) or do yoga. Time will tell. It's my turn again for wrestling practice taxi'ing so whatever I do will be later in the evening.

Wiggie:: I like the BBL work outs and when I did an actual BBL rotation I got good results!!! It's a different type of lower body work. It's more akin to a barre work out then even a Cathe endurance leg work out. He doesn't use any heavy weights. In fact, most of it is bands, ankle weights and body weight except when he's working upper body/abs. That's the only time he uses db's IIRC. This style of training worked for me but doesn't work for everyone....just like anything else I suppose! I have heard of Butt Bible and heard it's good but never tried it myself. Great job with STS total body. That's a butt kicker! Love it! It is one that I really can not do where I am staying BUT rumor has it that we are going to be able to move back home this weekend after all! WOOT WOOT! :D I hear you on STS and totally agree re being able to stick to it b/c you have freedom to pick and choose what you want to do on non weight days. I love that about it. What I don't like is how long they are coupled with so many equipment changes which makes the work outs take even longer!!!!:(

Ok, off I go for now but I'll be back!

You're not weak, I almost did the same thing!! :p My DD & I just signed up for a 10K!! The Cooper River Bridge Run in Charleston, SC on April 6th. You get to go back home!! YAY!!! I am so happy for you!!!!! :D

Hello Ladies. :)

My work out is done! I did Lower Intensity Step (37m). I was able to step b/c I did it at my house while DS was at his wrestling practice. I hang at the house anyway so why not work out right? Trouble is that I literally only have 40 mins to work with. I finished LIS with no time to spare! I figure it's a great sub for Low Impact Challenge which is too long for the time I had and some of that choreo is still a mystery to me and tonight was not the time to try to learn anything new! All in all it worked out well and now I can relax instead of working out until 9 or 9:30 at night!

Wiggie:: Thanks for tryin' to make me feel better about my XTrain cave but almost only counts in hand grenades and horseshoes missy!:p;):D Woo hoo! Congrats on signing up for the 10k race! Is it your first of this distance? TY re moving home. I am very excited to get my life back to "normal"...whatever THAT is! LOL :p

Good morning!!

Thursday's workout was Lower Body Blast, I don't remember ever doing that one all the way through. I've started it before but always changed my mind & did something else.

Wendy: Good job on Lower Intensity Step, I always do the Higher Intensity one. I almost did that one last night. That might be my choice for tonight. This 10K will be my first race ever!! :p At least I have plenty of time to train.

Have a great weekend everyone!! :)

Hi girlies!

I finished up my Slow & Heavy rotation yesterday with Legs and Shoulders. I really enjoyed that rotation, but i'm kinda of glad it's over because i'm ready to move on to STS! Woot, Woot! :p I'm resting today and starting STS tomorrow.

Wendy: YAYAYAYAY!!! I'm so happy that you might be able to go home this weekend. Fantastic news! I'm sure you're happy as well. There's no place like home, right? ;) WTG with Low Impact Step. Ya know I love me some LIS. :D:p What made you decide to pre-order Xtrain? I'm really glad you did, because now maybe we can do an XTrain rotation together. EEK!

Wiggie: Wow, a 10K! Excellent!! You're going to do awesome i'm sure. Do you have a training plan? Great job with Lower Body Blast. I've only done that one a few times but remember enjoying it. I don't know why I don't pull it out more often. I tend to forget about it for some reason.:eek::p

Did we lose Kris? Come back Kris!!!
