Golly, I feel like I’ve been away forever! My week turned out like this: 2 midterms, 1 quiz and 2 papers; and yes and of course I had to go to work! Whaddup with that? LOL! I don’t mind telling you I was a little STRESSED OUT! Sigh… But, I got through it all. Then yesterday it started all over again! So I’m over half way now and this week should be better. Of course you know the biggest problem was that as soon as I decided to take these 3 classes I got busier at work and have had to put in more hours! Also, I had to sign up for next session Friday so I dropped back down to 2 classes for the remainder of the summer. That will affect me finishing in February but I think I should back off (maybe…) I’m going to go talk to my advisor this week to get the low down on the class load of these classes. Cendrine, we’re a pair on pushing ourselves!
SS went camping for the weekend with a buddy so he’s gone until tomorrow night and DH just left to go do a few things at the office so I’m going to work on my research paper. Remember way back when I said whenever I had to do a research paper I would do GMO’s? Well, I was going to but already had some research done on obesity prevention and reversal so decided to do that instead. Also, because of the requirements of the research, I can get more credible information from government sources on obesity because they have statistics so I think that may be a better choice for my overall grade. Now I just want to get this done! Of everything I’ve taken, writing is the most challenging for me although I’ve gotten full points on my papers. This writing class has stressed me out the most. Although I have to admit I wrote a paper called “My morning run” which my professor loved and I got full points on it. As the title indicates, I described going for a run first thing in the morning. He told me he got lost in my descriptions! I couldn’t ask for better feedback than that!
Now regarding me - yep, I completely recovered from the Ibo incident! LOL! Except I still have one booboo on my right wrist (bad shoulder arm) but it’s almost healed. I don’t think I have anything else of interest here as my nose has been stuck in tests, books and research! Oh, last night (mind you it was only in the 50’s yesterday) DH and I grilled salmon and veggies (leeks, sweet potatoes, onions, yellow and orange peppers and celery). I put a light coating of olive oil on the veggies and sprinkled them with smoked paprika and a little seasoning salt. They were awesome!
Cendrine, I’m so anxious to hear how the treatments are going to go for you. Won’t it be great to get back to feeling physically sound! It sounds you have a couple of budding fish in your house! LOL! That’s great the kids are enjoying their lessons. That restaurant sounds right up my alley! I think I’ve turned into a vegetable! LOL!
Kim, I’m glad the dinner was not as emotional as you thought it might be. Hopefully yes, you can put all this behind you now. The bathroom incident would really make me mad!
Why can’t people do what they say they are going to do? Ugghhh! What a coincidence about the floor plan? That made me think a while back when I was at moms I ran in to a GF who we’d been best buds our sr year of high school. We were driving the same car, wearing the same brand jeans and our DH’s had the same vehicles. A frozen kindle??? Ohhh…that would be so frustrating!
Rachel, oh my goodness I hope you’re feeling okay! I’ll bet that is food poisoning! I know this doesn’t sound good but one good remedy is trying to drink a warm coke (or part of one). I don’t know what it is but it’ll either make you throw up or settle your stomach down. I have to watch Ibo on the stairs too. He’s almost tripped me a couple of times so I make sure and always let him go first. DH took him in Saturday and bathed him at one of those do-it-yourself places and he’s all frisky and smelling good. Don’t work too hard today!
Patricia, I’m so jealous about your flooring!
You lucky lucky girl! While you were turning on you’re a/c, I was turning on the fireplace! I’m still waiting for springtime here! We’ve had a couple of good days and it may warm up later this week, but not yet! That’s great that you got some notebooks to journal your food. I think that’s one of the keys to staying on track with a new plan.
Okay, I think I’m pretty caught up. Thanks everyone for being so understanding but I want you to know I hate it when I don’t get to post! I always look forward to chatting with you all! So yes, if I miss a few days, don’t think I’ve abandoned! I’m off to the shower and then to the online library! Research awaits me!
