STS 6 month alumni checkin Saturday

FourAM

Cathlete
Wooohooo! Finally it is Saturday! One more day of work and then off tomorrow. Its the little things, you know:D I hope everyone is having a great and clean weekend. Today was disk 11 for me and then I tacked on the extended stretch instead of the 20 min cardio. I probably need the cardio but the stretch was more inviting!

We have about one more week of actual work left at this job and then we will just be making sure there are no loose ends left before we leave for a small vacation. We are just taking our ATV up to Arkansas. We rented a cabin on ten acres and it is really close to some great trails called Wolf Pen gap.It is a beautiful place. I love the outdoors. We hope that the summer rush will be over since kids are back in school. Because there are some people that can totally ruin the nature experience, if you know what I mean.

Cendrine-I had the same tri soreness. Except I did not think about it long enough to figure out what it was from:eek:. But I was really wondering and thanks to you now I know. I am glad the homeschooling is turning out to be so much fun. I was telling dh about the creative rocket with the tissue paper flames yesterday!

Kim-What did you end up doing with the kids. I know you have probably already said this but when do they go back to school?

Chrissy-Sorry to break the news but fleas multiply pretty fast. You might want to think about boarding the cat at the vet or somewhere for an afternoon while she is freshly treated. It is always best to get it as soon as you can. Oooops there I go calling he a she:p We live in the country and always have to keep the house treated or there would be no end.

OK It is off to work for me. Wish me a productive day.

Chrissy Please let Gayle know we miss her and her encouraging spirit!

I finally figured out how to upload pictures from my camera to the website. Yeah me!!!

Here is my kitten. Isn't he cute? I also made an album if anyone is interested.

Hi, ladies!!! Remember me??? :) I am sooooo sorry to have been MIA for so long now. Thanks, Chrissy for checking in on me. The short story (as I told Chrissy, and maybe she passed it on to you all) was that it's been a whirlwind since the RT. I came home and my BFF from college, who's only 38, was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer. :( Followed shortly by my grandmother's passing; she was 93 and her body simply had enough. :( So it's been a bang-bang of drama. Things are settling down, or dare I even SAY that out loud??? School starts on Tuesday and the kids and I are enjoying the last few days of unstructured time. I'm not looking forward to them going back to school, but I AM looking forward to a steady routine once again.

I started a fresh, brand new Body For Life challenge and rotation this past Monday and tomorrow marks the end of Week 1. I'm pumped and feel really recharged, simply by committing to this. I have a 5K on Thursday night and then my half marathon is 09/13. My PF in my foot has been off and on, and I was on the verge of just foregoing the half. But I started limiting my running to the HIIT workout that is 'prescribed' by BFL, with a longer run on the weekend (that was today) and the PF has been held at bay for now. So I think I have decided to do the half, with the expectation that I may just need to DO IT without a goal time in mind. LOL I guess I can do that. Then, once the half is behind me, my HIIT workouts for BFL will consist of other cardio instead of JUST running (is this making sense? LOL).

ANYWAY........the kids and I Just got back from a nice bike ride on the local path. We went about 7.5 miles before younger DS was done! LOL

I'm not sure if I'll be checking in on a regular basis between now and Tuesday when school starts. But I'll try, then once school starts I'll try to be more 'regular' around here. Part of my problem is that I have problems with checking in too many places, and since starting this new BFL Challenge, I'm checking in with the team that I've belonged to over at a BFL site abnout 2 years ago. I just don't want to let anybody down by not posting when it's expected of me.

Again, I'm talking in circles! :D

OK, off for now!!!

Gayle

p.s. Is Julie still checking in with us/you???? I sent her my BFL book a while back, and could really use it now.

p.p.s. I hope all is super well with all of you!

Oh, and Chrissy, your kitten is CUTE CUTE CUTE! You mentioned to me in your PM that he looked like the one in MY picture album. That was Tinker, a cat I adopted from my Aunt when Tink was having problems being 'nice' with the other 6 cats she had! LOL All was fine here with our other cat, Valentine, until about 6 months later when Tinker kept fighting with Valentine. So we had to find him a new home. ANYWAY, your kitten is adorable!!!

Hi Guys,

another Saturday again already... I meant to do the run this morning but we got to bed late because we went on a date to celebrate our anniversary, so I think I might take the kids on a bike ride while I run this afternoon.

Chrissy, Dusty looks so darling! I just really love cats and he's a cutie!
Sorry you have to get the house 'bombed' that is annoying, but I say the sooner the better...

Rachel, I'm glad your job there is almost done! You will have to go and celebrate the end of that one!

Galye, it's good to hear from you! I'm sorry about your Grandmother, you haven't had it easy! I'm glad to hear that you guys are doing ok, though!

Julie has checked in about a couple of weeks ago it seems, just busy getting the house ready and all. I suppose you could send her a private message and see if she gets it.
