Stepworks. Wow!!

Hi girls,

Just decided to preview some of Cathe's workouts (bored) when I came across her stepworks video. I saw where she had it in her Sept. rotation and was curious as to whether it was tough and fun. Well it looked awesome to me! I am even thinking of purchasing it in the future sometime. I can't believe I didn't come across this sooner!

Do any of you girls have this workout and do you like it? Also would you recommend getting the vhs or the dvd with the other two workouts?

This also gives me some major motivation!!

I really enjoy Step Works. It was much tougher than I had thought it would be. It's a great workout, that's for sure.

I only have the VHS version so I'm not sure what the DVD is like. I'm slowing switching all my vids to DVD, much clearer and better sound, not to mention the great chapters and mixes that Cathe does with them.

I also stepworks on vhs. I give the same fun factor as step blast or rhythmic step. If you have the money I would definitely recommend buying the dvd. I too am in the process of replacing my older vhs tapes with the dvd's. The dvd's have so much more to offer, especially the newer ones.

Stepworks was one of the first Cathe that I bought. I really like it for a continuous aerobic work out and use it a lot. I would buy the DVD just because I never buy VHS anymore.

I love this workout. It was the introduction to explosive lunges ("power scissors") if I am not mistaken, and has a nice abs section, all in 60 minutes.

Kim if you like stepping then you have to get the DVD, the w/o's are all great and you can get creative mixing and matching. StepWorks is fun and intense, if you've been doing some of her other step w/o's then some of it will definitely feel familiar.

Take Care

I don't have Step Works Kim but I substituted Step Jam today since I'm doing the September rotation. That one was a lot of fun. I have it on VHS as well as Mega Step Blast which is great and Step Heat.

I have Stepworks on VHS, one of my first purchases, and I really do like it. I use it pretty often. It is medium-high tough, and very fun. The choreography is not as complex as RS and SB, but it's close.

I wouldn't bother buying any VHS anymore either.

And I'm sure she doesn't do power lunges on this one, if you mean power lunges like on Imax 1, I think that's the first instance of those. She does those sideways lunges on the board. I forget what she calls them, where you step on the floor to both sides of the board long-ways. But those are in BodyMax also.

I got this w/the 27-DVD compilation my husband bought me a couple years ago. It sat on the shelf for a while, but when I tried it, I was very pleasantly surprised! The choreography is more complex than her older stuff and the BPM are fast, so it's quite a challenging workout. I highly recommend it.

I have this on DVD and agree, it is awesome! I think some of Cathe's older stuff really rocks and tends to get overlooked because of the unfortunate workout attire, etc. Stepworks and PowerMax (both on this DVD with StepFit, which I haven't even done yet) are loads of fun and great workouts!

I would definitely get the DVD because it is chaptered and you can do any of the combos as an add-on cardio.

Cheers!
Marie

I have powermax on vhs from a long time ago. And the music in that is awesome. That would keep me going when I would get tired. And I was looking at the video clips and stepfit or stepworks had some good music. I think I am definitely getting this dvd.

Oh I was thinking of Step Heat! That's where the first instance of power scissors are--

I need to do Step Works again soon!

Stepworks is the first Cathe workout that I did (and hooked ever since). I love Stepworks.
