Step slipping when working out?

Hey all

Just thought I would share this tip that took me way too long to think of. I don't know about you but my step moves around while I work out - not a ton, but enough to annoy me (I am a neat freak! ha:)). Anyway, I put a 15 lb db inside each riser and walla (? sp)... no more moving!

In case you are interested.

Have fun!

INSIDE the risers! I usally stick a 25 pounders behind it. My Step slides when I use it for one-legged squats.
Thanks for the tip!

Another tip for a slippy step...

I put rubber weather stripping all along the bottom of my step (the other side of the weather stripping is adhesive for those who dont know). You can buy it in varies widths and thicknesses. Works like a charm! I got my weather stripping at Home Depot.

HAHAHA I thought it was walla too.
Must be French or something. I wonder if its pronouced "walla".

Another thing you can do is put non-skid pads on your step or risers. They are pretty cheap and I found mine at Wall-marts and they come in all different sizes. They are easy to put on, just un-peel the back and slap on, press down to make sure it's completely stuck on and there you go.

As for voilà, it is French and it's pronounced with a V and short o, and then La. As the a is short with the circumflex (little mark) above it.

So yes it is Val la

Both my grandpraents speak french all the time, I'm not sure if they don't know english or they just decide not to speak it. But then again they live in a french community in Canada everything there is french even the stop signs. Which always takes me a second to recognize, the sign is the same shape as our's, most of the time, just I'm not use to a 5 letter word printed on it so I automatically stop when I see it, but I always have to think twice as if that was what I was suppose to do, or not. My brains a little slow on the language translation when driving and trying to mentally converent from mph to kph, as well as I'm normally lost up there anyway. I can make 4 left turns and think I'm in a different place then where I started with.

Hello!
I cut a sticky yoga mat to fit the length of my step. I do cardio on a hardwood floor and my step would not stay in place.
