Step 101

I am just getting started with Cathe and was considering purchasing a Reebok Deck due to the functionality. I currently have what I think is a circuit step. I was looking to try to get minimal pieces with multiple functionality (step, incline/decline bench. I would prefer not having to purchase new equipment when my fitness level changes, since I am on a budget. Does anyone have any recommendations/suggestions?

Thanks,

I think the club step is a more versatile piece of equipment. You can adjust the number of risers for you incline/decline positions. Plus, the risers fit the base of the high step topper which is utilized in many of Cathe's DVDs

I second Diane's suggestion. The original club step is definitely the most versatile piece of equipment I own!

I do agree the club step probably is a great choice, since the risers work both the club step and the high step, you can save on price in the way of risers and just by the top for the high step since you will already have the risers, or you can just buy the top to the club step if you already have the high step and the risers to go with that.

However I do not have the club step and actually own the Reebok step you are talking about. I love it and it works great! I can adjust it in my different ways, probably just the same as the club step. One feature I love about it is I don't have to move 2 pieces, the top and then the risers, because the reebok staps into place.

Either way is a good purchase.

I have had my Club Step (the Original - teal, purple, & fusia) for over 15 years, using it 1-2x/week. It's one of the most durable pieces of exercise equipment I've ever purchased and I really can't complain much. I once purchased one of those smaller steps ... got rid of it quickly! The only draw-back is having to move the risers and the platform ... but it's really no big deal. Best, Deb :)

I have to agree with that one! I have had my step now since the beginning and it's hanging in there. I was going to pick up a new one and looked at the one I had and said "why?" Go with a club Step. You can't go wrong!:+

I agree: the Club Step is very versatile, and since you can use the same risers with the high-step topper, you can't go wrong. Also, I think the Reebok step is a bit shorter (not by much) than the Club Step.
