having a problem with these? And the squat rolls into pushups..........the problem I'm having is, when I thrust my feet back to get into the pushup position (hope I'm describing this correctly), my whole stupid mat slides back a few inches! It's driving me crazy! Is anyone else NOT having trouble with this and, if not, WHY? LOL!

I guess I need to position myself far enough back on the mat so my feet hit the floor instead of the end of the mat? Someone please help this uncoordinated exerciser!

Hi there...if I'm thinking of the ones you're thinking about....(the ones in MMA Fusion?..they might be in another one as well.) I kept my hands mostly on the mat, to keep it there. My pushup wasn't as wide as it usually is, but the mat didn't really move. I had more trouble with it wanting to bunch up when jumping my feet back in! lol

Hey, Laura, I had the same trouble. Fortunately I'm on carpeting so I bagged the mat. Now...if only I could go a little FASTER!!

Would doing wide-legged push-ups (with feet on each side of the mat) help?

Yeah I'm trying to remember which was in which--one was MMA fusion, the other was cardio core. I have a thick mat & a slippery floor. I did them without the mat just fine, but the floor is hard & I don't think I can do that consistently LOL.

Ah well, I'll keep playing with it. Maybe going wider w/the legs will help, & starting in the middle of the mat instead of all the way in front.

If anyone else has ideas I'd love to hear them. ;)

I have trouble with that one too. Very intense.
I have a puzzle type of matt that I got in walmart for $18 and it's worth it. I put my yoga matt on it and pilates matt too but you can use it for squat rolls into push ups by itself.

same problem

I had the same problem with my regular mat, but switched to a Yoga mat, which worked very well.

Hope that helps..... :)
