Squat stands vs. Power Tower

So if the Valor squat stands let you do squats and bench press and the Power Tower lets you do bench press and pullups which one should I get? Wouldn't it be more practical to get the squat stands and a pullup up bar rather than the tower?

If you are looking for one piece of equipment to do squats, bench press and pull-ups, I would get the squat stands. I have them and they work really well. I needed to get a weight bench because my step with 4 risers/side was too low for bench press but I know others have made it work with their step. I have a pull-up bar but you could do pull-ups by placing a barbell between the stands. See my set up below:

I like using the safety bars for bench press so I would recommend placing a heavy dumbbell (I use 40's) on each base for added safety.

I think it depends on how much space you have and what kind of other equipment you have, as well (type/length of barbell, size/height of bench, storage, etc.) The squat stands wouldn't work for me and the Tower is ideal for my one-bedroom apartment.

If you have the space I would definitely purchase the squat stands. You can squat with the stands but not with the power tower. You can also do modified pull ups with the stands. The stands have a higher weight capacity than the power tower's maximum load of 100 lbs.

Do the stands take up that much space? Can't I move them to another room when I'm done the workout?

They don't take up much room at all. The base is only 20" x 20" and they are very easy to move. I always move mine up against the wall when I'm done using them.
