Spring into Summer-June 10

Hello everyone!
I'll tell ya, I am never going to take time off working out again! That inactive vacation has been trouble. Last night I did Push Pull. I really like that workout. I haven’t done it in a while. This morning I did Power Hour~ and nearly died!! You should have seen me, when I put the bb down from doing plie squats (which is the second exercise I think) my legs were shaking so much it looked as if I was doing a chicken dance. No kidding. Now, I usually don’t get DOMS, but I have it already. I think tonight I'll do a short cardio from CTX (not sure which one just yet).
I can’t wait to hear what you guys are up to for the day.

Susan, how long where you gone again? Don't worry muscles have memory and they will be back to their normal strength in no time!
Yesterday I did PUB in the afternoon, the rest of it after doing chest only in the morning. Today I'm not sure what I'll do, probably PLB though, or maybe I'll do Legs and glutes, I don't know which one I want to do. But it'll be a lower body workout that is one thing I know for sure! My chest is fried after yesterday, so are my biceps!

HI to everyone else that checks in today!

Kathy

Hi ladies, I woke up at 4:30 a.m. and was doing KPC cardio conditioning premix at 5. After that I did IMAX 2 intervals 6-10, then abs from S&H and PH. This afternoon I might do some lifting. I'd like to finish doing pyramids for my shoulders, triceps and biceps.

Kathy, Lisa and lindzebird, thanks for yesterday's messages. My husband has been spending so much time at work the last few weeks that it's usually just Andrew and me, if he isn't in school. We have no other family. It's just my husband, Andrew and me. No one to run to. Without Jr. Pre-K, I wouldn't know how to find time for myself, really. Anyway, I hope things get better soon.

Talk to you guys tomorrow.

Pinky, how long has your son been in preschool? Maybe just give it time and it will get better on it's own. I know how hard it can be with Dh working a lot of hours. Good luck through this hard time.

Hello everyone!

How are all of you? I did BC for the first time last week and again on Mon- can we say Cathe kicked my @ss pretty good?!!... :) Loved it though and will try to incorporate it once a week depending on how I feel. The fatigue is hanging in there but I know if I don't exercise at all, I'd feel worse.

Pinky- I read back on some of the older posts and wanted to let you know that I really feel for you. I know you love your son and that you ARE a wonderful mom. But I agree with the other posters- it sounds like you need to spend some *Quality-Pinkytime*. Maybe you can arrange some playdates with one of Andrew's friends and you and the other parent can take turns hosting it at your respective homes. I don't have kids but in our academy over the years I've spoken with many parents and seen the stages their kids go through. I've found myself reassuring parents (the responsible and loving ones!) that they are doing a good job and that they need to take some time off for themselves (ie leave their child with the dad- maybe you can sit down and talk with DH and he can help you with this). Please take care of yourself and keep us posted.

Lisa- glad you're feeling better and I'm sorry about the headaches. I'm sending you some healing thoughts, OK? :)

Susan- I agree, you are in such great shape that you'll get back to it in no time flat! I like PP too.

Kathy- sounds like the reunion went great (bet you looked mah-velous!). Sorry DH couldn't make it and your son was sick- hope he's better.

Cid- how is your bike training coming along? I know you're ready to *burn some rubber* girl! :)

Hellos to everyone else and hope you are having a wonderful day!

Just a quick check-in...

I took the morning off and helped out at Field Day at Michael's school. I was running the activities with the parachute--2 1/2 hours of flapping the parachute up and down, and squatting to pull the parachute down and running under it, etc, etc, it was different, but definitely some kind of workout! When I came home I did the Bar Method. I may try to do some kind of cardio when I get home (something short) or then again, maybe not!

Pinky, I know what it's like to feel like you're on your own. My parents are about 5 hours away, and my in-laws are in TX. I'm lucky though that my parents are willing to come to help if absolutely necessary, like when Michael was still in the hospital and my husband had to go out of town for work. They came and stayed with Nicholas. The play date idea is a good one though.

Elizabeth, thanks for your words and healing thoughts--no headache today! It's good to hear from you again. I'm glad you're getting some workouts in.

Hello to everyone. Talk to you tomorrow!

Hi all;
Pinky I can relate sooo well.
Ever since the hubby and I got married; 16 yrs this Sat :)

We've always been alone . My hubby is active duty air force and our families are in NYC.

Well in all these years we have never ever lived closer than 12 hours minimum to family . I had my 1st 2 children overseas ...it was just the hubby and I . No family to have around. No support ...nothing it's always been just us two. Is it hard? hell yes it is ..we have gone through some times when I wished my mom could just hop on a plane and just hold me while I cry in her arms....never had that either.

I do believe since we have had to just relie on just us our marriage is still strong ...granted there are times that I would love to beat him over the head and I'm sure he'll probably say the same about me.

In all this time we have gone through the loss of 2 babies and have had 3 children on our own. No family to babysit at all. It's always me and the kids esp when he gets deployed to play in the sandbox.

Just wanted to let you know you are not alone and at least you can vent with us here.

If you don't have a hobby ...try to find one and do it , enjoy it because you do need to find yourself and make her happy. Like the saying goes "if mom's not happy , ain't nobody happy" Also talk with your hubby and tell him how you are feeling.

Hugs Pinky

Well my surgery has been scheduled for the 22nd of this month. I can't lift anything and I need to not overdo it as I may rupture a vein and start to bled. The doc said I'll probably be back to feeling like myself in 7 - 10 days post op. The 1st 3 days I'll be in pain and drugged up with happy pills to relieve the pain. So I'm going to try to workout as much as I can before I go under the knife.

I've been doing a BC IMAX 2 rotation this week and will end it with cardio and weights. I'm feeling really good as far as my strength I just hope I don't lose too much while I'm recooping.

Take care all and boy I sure wish I could be in Sabine's shoes as I'm sure she is having a blast in Hawaii
