Spring into Summer 5/6

Hello everyone!
Looks like it "comic relief" day here in the Open Discussion forum.

Anyway, last night I did SJP (step and hi/lo only) lots of fun.
This morning I did biceps. PS, SH and PUB. I can't believe I made it. I did the same weight as Cathe! PUB was good, since that was last and it seems in that workout she feels your pain!
Followed by abs, PS (in the bicep workout) and SJP abs.

I think I'll do Bodymax tonight. I really like the stepping in that workout. SJP seem really easy last night. I think because there aren't as many power moves.

Brenda, how did go shopping yesterday? Did you have fun?
CinDee, I'm just starting this one body part per day, so it's hard to say what results I'm having. I've never put a rotation together, this is my first. I check in nearly everyday, so I'll keep you posted.

What's everyone else up to?

I'll check back later. :D

Hey Susan! You sound like an energizer bunny with all those biceps workouts put together. My biceps are hurting for yours! LOL! (I may have had an "outer body experience" just thinking about what you did! Ha, ha!) You will be ripped soon if you keep that up. Good for you, I'm obviously impressed.
Brenda, you will have to let us know about your fun day shoping for a bikini. What fun that must be.
Pinky, did you get any sleep last night? I sure hope so. I dont' know how you can workout with insomnia. I have a very hard time working out if I lose 2 hours for one night. I must be a wimp, lol!
Ok, so yesterday, my day to really go for it. I ended up doing KPC, but I did the cardio conditioning premix, then added the abs and the cool down at the end. Nope, lost my bravery to do Leaner legs, when I realized that my hamstrings were still in pain from PLB on Monday. So, today maybe I'll be able to get more in. It isn't supposed to be as warm, so I may have more energy than I did yesterday. I will probably do Leaner legs today. I will be taking tomarrow off. So it's a good day to get myself sore. }(
Well, you all have a great day!

Kathy

Good afternoon everyone~

The shopping was nice and relaxing yesterday. I ended up trying on a few dresses, some shorts and t-shirts, bought nothing. I DID buy two bathing suits that I need to try on for my DH and I'll return one, not bikinis however. All the bikinis I tried on are not made for women leaning over a baby pool - the tops were so teeny-weeny and for those endowed with perkiness. I went with two one piece suits w/skirts, one is really cute and the other is a little more low cut, less cute but attractive. I tried them on today w/my own lighting in my room and I'm much happier the way they look today. Why is it that lighting when trying on suits is AWFUL and also, why is it that I can wear a 4-6 in clothes but need a 10-12 in bathing suits?? Who's fitting into the size 4 bikini bottoms??

Anyway, I did my HIIT and worked my abs and feel pretty good today. I have a ton of mulching and planting to do this afternoon so I need to get moving. The weather is beautiful today.

Susan, your workout seems so tough! How do your biceps feel??

Hello's to everyone- hope you're all doing well...

Brenda

Edited to add: does anyone know how to remove crayon from furniture (i.e. doors, tables, not upholstry)?x( Scrubbing isn't working.

Hey everyone,

I'm feeling better today, but still not working out.

Brenda, I know what you mean about bathing suits. I'm a 6 or 8 now, and wear 10s in bathing suits. When I was a 6 in collage, I also wore a 10 bathing suit. Also, I have something from Mr. Clean called the "Magic Eraser" (no joke) that supposedly will remove crayon from walls. I haven't tried it yet though. I got it at Target, but I'm sure Giant or Safeway would carry it too. When are the cicadas supposed to arrive, by the way?

Susan, I think I'm going to have to bow down to you for making it through all that bicep work with Cathe's weights. AND, BodyMax tonight? I'm not worthy (really!). I may sound like I'm kidding around, but I'm very impressed.

Hope everyone's well today.

Susan, how the heck did you come up with that so fast? Do you work for, or are you married to, Mr. Clean? I'll try it- sounds exactly like what I'm looking for.
Thank you!!

Wow. That's a lot of bicep work...I'm crying after PUB alone, much less the additions. I'll definately be interested in your results!

Brenda, glad you found some sort of bathing suit. I'm not of the well-endowed group, plus I'm short so the little string tops fit me...it's finding something to cover up most of the stretch marks that's the problem. As for crayon, the first thing I thought of was the Mr. Clean thing, too, but simply because I saw a commercial (not cuz I actually tried it).

Lisa, glad you're feeling better and I hope you feel more energized with every day.

Today will be SS and perhaps some HIIT. Last night was KPC, but I left out the last combo because I was getting a bit dizzy (a common problem for me the week before TOM) but I made it through all of the ab work. Tomorrow DH and I will probably bike or spin, so I don't want to waste myself today.

HI to everyone else...time for lunch!

CinDee

Hi everyone...

Susan, I'd love your biceps. How you got through PUB after S&H with the same weight as Cathe is just a dream for me right now.:)

Joy, was it you who offered to get me Yoga Zone's Evening Stress Release tape? Thanks, but I already have that. I SHOULD use that more often.

Lisa, glad to hear you're feeling much better.

Today's leg day and I'm thinking of doing PLB, which I haven't done in a long time. I'm going to pyramid up only, and do wall squats instead of Cathe's regular ones. I'm also keeping my weights low by using 12/15/20-lb. DB's.

Brenda, I've been shopping too. But for some reason most of the stuff I've been buying are sandals and purses -- girly-girl-looking ones, of all things. There's an outlet mall very close to where I live, so the prices are good. There's also a Kohl's two miles away from here. They're clearing out purses at $5-$7, from $22-$35. Not bad.

A dozen roses came for me today, from my hubby and son. Real early, since we're leaving tomorrow for Houston and will spend the weekend there. I wonder what waits for me out there. Didn't I already say I hate surprises? Love the flowers though.:)

I have one other recommendation to get crayon out, WD-40. Seriously, it works. You need to clean off the WD-40 afterwards, obviously. But I tried it after watching Opra once and it was like magic. I have tried the Mr Clean eraser thing that works great. But I've never tried it on wood, or colored walls or colored floors.

Good Luck!

Kathy

Susan,

You must have replied while I was in the process of doing so. Have you used these? As I said, I have some, but haven't tried them yet.

Lisa

Hi everyone,

Later than usual checking in. Rough day at the elementary school. It seemed like all the kids were in some sort of 'mood' and the kindergarteners were just plain annoying and disrespectful. Granted, I was dealing with 20 5 year olds at once, but you Mom's ROCK!!!!!!

Today's workout was Muscle Endurance. This was my first Cathe workout and I have such nostalgic feelings for it (and it's a great workout). Had a great time. Might try to squeeze in a short yoga program later on.

Joy- I know your workouts have been decreased lately because of the injury. Please keep checking in!!!! You've been with the check in since the beginning and I personally would hate to not 'see' you around. I'd be very interested to hear you how are doing, what's new, and about all the yoga you've been doing. Have you tried anything by Eion Finn?

Brenda- I hear you on the bikini tops. Seeing as how I have no need at present to dangle over kiddie pools and such, I'm letting the bust bust out if you will. But that would be really wierd if I was spending the time with small children. Hopefully in Hawaii I may just stumble across a big child (aka man).

Susan- Like Lisa said, 'I'm not worthy!!!!!'.

Lisa- Hope you feel better soon.

Hellos to Pinky, Kathy, Cindee, Elizabeth, Tracy (are you still around? How's the move going?), Shywolf, Judy, and Kim!

Wow Susan, I did only S&H biceps yesterday going as heavy as Cathe on dumbells and 5 pounds higher with the barbell, and that was more than enough for me. I also did the PS abs (on the Bicep workout) and KPC f(irst 35") going very intense on all kicks and punches and jumps, and adding in jumping jacks where she recovers to increase the intensity.
