Hey everyone,
I just walked in the door from the spinning class with Coach Sean, and had to get on-line immediately to give everyone the scoop!
First of all, he is SUCH a sweetheart! I got there a half-hour early, and chatted with him for awhile. He was soooo happy to hear about all the Cathe fans who get such great workouts with him, and he seemed a little shy about it even.
About 20 minutes before the class started, the line-up started for sign-ups to get into his class! I guess his class is full every week. I had told Coach Sean that I hadn't taken a spin class for about three years, and so before the class actually started, he came over and made sure that my bike was properly set up. I talked to the guy next to me, who said that Coach Sean is hands-down "the BEST" spin teacher, and that he has a following at that gym. The same guy also said that he does CC on the days that Coach Sean doesn't teach.
During class, I got a few head nods and A-OK signs from the man himself to make sure that I was doing alright. (I was in the second row, off to the side since I don't like being up front.) He set up the class like the CC workouts -- there were about five or six challenges total, and they were HARD! During the challenges, he played CC-style music, and then during the recoveries he played things like Dave Matthews, The Dream Academy, etc. He also got off his bike and walked around the room during the recoveries to check on everyone. He came by to check with me a few times, and I almost melted.
I had asked before the class if I could take some photos, and he was happy to oblige once class was over. So here are some sweaty, post-class photos:
Now if anyone wants to take a road trip out here, I've got a lovely guest room!
