how are all these spammers getting on here with their posts if you have to sign up? there were pornographics images, selling sex sites, rip off merchandise sites, antivirus,etc. and everytime this morning i try to report it tells me i have to wait before reporting posts. shoot! i am just trying to make one aware of spam so it could be removed before somebody sees something they don't want to see. why should i have to wait to report spam?

i use the search new posts option so i get to see 20 messages from every forum that shows spam. just doing my part to report it. is there a way to stop this??!

Well, keep reporting!

I just clicked "Today's Posts" and saw a bunch of really off-topic threads! Didn't bother clicking on them (I don't want those pictures in my head!).

I suggest that we force all spammers to do Cathe's entire "Hardcore" series, start to finish. That ought to leave them too tired to spam. It will also provide them new meaning to the term "hardcore!" :D
 
I would like to know, why they even bother. Do they really think this is the place to post that kind of stuff. :eek::eek::eek:

There is no perfect way to stop spammers completely, but there are steps we can take to make it more difficult for them. We have now started to take defensive measures. We have just turned on our spam filter and were going to watch and see if it stops the problem we're having today and also see if it causes problems with normal legitimate posts. If you see any spam posts please let us know ASAP.
