Songs that make you want to SHAKE IT

Nancy, iTunes is an online catalog of downloadable music. It has hundreds of thousands of songs you can download for 99 cents each. Here's the link: http://www.apple.com/itunes/store/

(I misspelled "iTunes" in my previous post because my husband's the one who's been downloading tunes. I went to it for the first time just now.)

Well, I was enjoying reading this thread until I read "I never heard of the Kinks". OMG I am so old.

Soosan-
Itunes looks great!! It looks like it will work with Windows. Can't believe I was buying entire albums just to get one song. Itunes is what I need. I'll be programing my little Creative MuVo TX today for use at the gym. It's the cutest thing and I got a great price on it. I'm so excited!! Thank you! I'll let you know how everything works...

Carole,
Either you have a very big house or you are just plain saving too much stuff. :+ I almost forgot about 45s. Okay, that's a lie. I remember them like they were yesterday. What can I say? I'm old.

Great, Nancy! I swear, technology and all its benefits never ceases to amaze me. I wanted a CD for Xmas and my husband couldn't find it, so he downloaded it from iTunes. It wound up being cheaper than retail. He also downloaded the CD cover. Amazing.

Okay, here's the little player I keep talking about: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0001UEHOE/104-2835790-8347932?v=glance

I can't believe I got it for 52% off. I was all set to buy myself an IPod when my DH told me it has moving parts that may make it less than ideal for use during physical activity. I read about it on the web, and sure enough he was right. They recommend flash players for physical activity. The one I found has 256 MB of memory, which is the most available. It's really small and comes with an armband. So, if anyone is thinking about purchasing an IPod for exercise, think twice. Just had to share this discovery with you. :)

Thanks Nancy. I was going to buy an Ipod for my DH to motivate him on the stepmill more. I'm glad I saw your post.

This is my first post on the forum. Just received my first series of Cathe workouts for Christmas - Intensity Series - and love it!

As far as music to make you shake your booty, I LOVE house/club music. Some of my favs are:

Hed Kandi's dancefloor cd's. (www.hedkandi.com). In particular, Disco Heaven and alot of the beachhouse series. Also the Stereo Sushi line.

Naked Music (www.naked-music.com). One of my favs from this label is Nude Dimensions Vol. 1. Very fun, dancy music!

Euphoria Vol 1 For the Mind, Body and Soul (www.euphoria-albums.com)

2 particular songs that hit your soul and make you want to move:

Children - By Robert Miles
Sandstorm - By Darude.

Also, if you have DirecTV - you should tune into their dance channel (mine is 813). Lots of fun, clubby, dancy music.

Welcome stacelina! thanks for the links! i do happen to have directv and i am going to check that channel out!

Thanks for the welcome, Jes! Let me know what you think of the dance channel. One of the things I like about it is that they list the song title, artist and album. If you like something, you can search for it on Amazon!

I was just downloading some cd's and was thinking of this thread.
Brittany Spears Breathe on Me and Me against the Music
John Melancam[ Authority SOng
No Doubt Hey Baby
Gold Frapp Strict Machine
