Something is wrong with my dog

He sort of lost control of his back legs for a short while last night and then was acting disoriented after that.

We're going to take him to the vet today and since he's 11 years old I'm really afraid of what they might say is wrong with him.

My 13 year old loves that dog like you wouldn't believe and he is going to be absolutely heart broken if there is something seriously wrong.

My husband keeps telling me not to be upset until we find out what's wrong but I'm worried.

When you get a pet you know that you'll more than likely out live it but knowing it doesn't make the prospect any easier.

Oh I'm so sorry ,Hang in there .You are doing the right thing by taking your dog to the vet .Hugs to you .I'll cross my fingers for you . :)

I also hope everything is ok. My dh always tells me not to worry about something until there is something to worry about. Do I take his advice....Nah. There is a dominant worrying gene in my family and you can't fight genetics. I hope there's something your vet can do. I have a much loved dog as well.

Awww. Poor puppy. I hope he's ok too Elaine. I know it might sound ridiculous, but sometimes I feel worse for sick animals than people.
Hang in there.

I'll add my hopes and prayers for good news about your dog. I have 3 dogs. One is 15 1/2, the other two are about 7 and 8. I worry about them, especially my old girl.

Hang in there!

Elaine:
My thoughts are with you. It is terribly heartbreaking when a dog is sick. I am hoping for the best outcome for your four-legged family member.

That's what I was thinking Carmen but I didn't want to say it--my golden retriever had a stroke, he was 13, & that was almost exactly what happened to him. But he couldn't even lift his head after. It was so sad.

ETA: I don't want to be pessimistic--with a minor stroke you could have your pup around for quite a while yet.

Anyway, please do let us know how he is.
