Someone get me under control!!!!

I can't stop buying myself new clothes! I had to buy a whole new wardrobe of pants because I dropped from a low-6 (meaning, they were sort of loose) to a perfect 2. OK, that's understandable, you can't carry off pants that are too big. But shirts? Well...my shirt size hasn't really changed.

This weekend, though, I found that all of my summer t-shirts don't do a thing to show off my new bod! So I bought some shirts from The Gap the other day while I was SUPPOSED to be shopping for my husband's birthday. And I just ordered 4 shirts from Bluefly.com! I honestly don't need them. But darn it...I don't want baggy t-shirts anymore. I want something a bit more form-fitting. It doesn't help that when I wore one of my new Gap t-shirts the other day, my husband remarked on how good I looked and that I "have the bod" for it!

Sorry, can't help you--having the same problem myself! :) Just bought a bunch of t-shirts from the Gap--they were on sale and yeah, I'm sick to death of wearing potato sacks. But I am returning the pants I bought at J Crew--need to wait until the next paycheck. But all my pants are big and I'm tired of that. Plus it's spring--sounds like a good excuse for shopping to me!

Sorry, you'll get no help here. I watched What Not To Wear last night and I'm a true believer that if your clothes are too big, you NEED new clothes. It's a crime to hide that body you've been working so hard on behind baggy old t-shirts!

Sorry, but I say you NEED those new clothes.

Yup, I'm with Nancy here. Girl, you now have the body, so LET'S SEE IT!!!! Show it off in your new gear, stand tall and proud and be a role model to other women everyewhere.

I often end up buying myself stuff when I am supposed to be getting clothes for my husband........ and I've just bought myself some new skirts, 3 new pairs of sandals and a couple of tees and I don't even have the excuse of a fab new bod to show of in them!

I think it's just Spring......

Nancy - was that the episode with "Huckleberry Jesus"? He was such a little fox when they got done with him. Don't you just want to dress in some really bad clothes for a while and make it seem like you have no clue, just to get them to send you shopping with $5,000? That would be SOOOO awesome!!!!

Size 2? I don't like you very much so I won't give you any advice.
JUST KIDDING! Girl you rock! You worked hard to get to where you are, you deserve to splurge on a new wardrobe to show it off! Let your husband compliment you to his hearts content, and your deep satisfaction and ego boosting, by modeling your new threads for him. That could be his birthday present! I am sure he won't mind checking you out!:p

Actually, I watched the UK one last night with Trinny and Susannah, but both shows are great, and, yes, I would do anything to have Stacy and Clinton give me lots of money and help me choose a wardrobe! :D

Donna, Wow A size 2 !!! You go girl .No help here .I say Go get more new stuff !!! As a gift to yourself for all your hard work !!!Plus its Spring !!! :)

Sorry, no help here either. I've been going hog wild the last 2 months stocking up on summer clothes that I really don't need. Perhaps we need an intervention board on the forum so we can stop each other? ;-)

I have been doing the same thing so there is no help from me either. I have bought several new bikini's and several pairs of shoes and some outfits. I could go on! LOL!! My husband told me yesterday he wanted me in a bikini all summer. That included weeding the garden and flower beds too!! LOL!!

I can't help much either except I'll try to take up some of that for you. I need new clothes! The weather is changing and I have nothing to wear except workout gear, jeans and long sleeved shirts. My 16 year old has an arm's length list of what SHE needs so I have to figure out how to get everyone re-outfitted for summer. My son is getting so long and, boy, we beat our clothes to death over a season.

Enjoy the new you. You are doing a wonderful job transfroming yourself and you deserve to showcase all that hard work!

I'm in the *sorry can't help club*! My problem is that I lost a bunch of weight then bought a bunch of new clothes last year. Now I am slowly, very slowly shrinking out of my new clothes. Not complaining that's for sure, I just thought I was at a weight/size I would stay at so I got all new clothes. Of course I don't want to wear the miss droopy drawers pants on my smaller butt! It was hard to get and I want pants that fit. But ouch! I bought a pair of Lucky jeans and Polo jeans last week, that set my clothes budget back a bit.

It is sure a LOT more fun buying smaller new clothes than bigger ones!! I guess we should just consider it money well spent.

i say you earned it and need to be out of control!!!! of course, i advocate shopping in all situations! live it up and shop bargains! then you can think of all the money you saved!!:+

1. I'm not a size 2, therefore I hate you ;)

2. Shop to your heart's content and I shall shop vicariously through you, as I am BROKE right now! So have fun!:)

I can't help either, but just wanted to chime in that you're not alone. I'm out of control with shopping too. Lately I've been buying a lot of fitted tank tops and bikini tops.

Isn't it like we all have this need for a big 'unveiling' after being covered up with clothes all winter? Too funny.

Sorry. No help from me. The mail carrier just delivered two new dresses from Lew Magram, and I'm going shopping with a friend on Thursday. I took all of my baggy clothes to the Salvation Army, so I don't have any "backup clothes" if I gain weight back.

Enjoy yourself!!

Margaret

Donna, I say go for it!! You are a size 2! I would be buying every beautiful garment out there. I was on a shoe kick for a while. I bought about 10 pairs on new high heel strappy sandals last month. I am now on a skirt kick. I just bought 3 new items yesterday at NY & Co.

Have fun shopping for new clothes, and congrats on your wonderful progress!!
By the way, how did the job thing go?

Lori

Sorry I'm getting back to you late on this, Donna--long days at work. I didn't see that t-shirt in the Gap by me! It's really cute. I bought just two plain stretch t's--one brown and one magenta and really form-fitting. Eek! I need pants, though. Something other than jeans to wear to work on all my non-client/dressdown days. Anyone have store suggestions? :)
